Then don't play? You're not some majority stakeholder who has a vested interest in the success of the game. If missed tentative release dates (with clear disclaimer that they were subject to change) make you this upset, maybe it's time to step away.

The ideas on the roadmap were clearly defined upfront. 2.0 was not some "imagineering" done at the last second. It's unfortunate that it did not pan out the way they wanted, but that's game development. Some ideas, no matter how well thought out, don't stick. I would rather them take additional time to sort out what isn't working.

The extra six month delay was a result of no storm's FOR STORM's BREWING
all dates subject to change is being badly abused.
we have no clue when the rest of the road will even be attempted...because YOU CAN'T tell me how long it is going to take to clean up 2.0, you've said you expect it will take a couple of months. I'll add, that's IF everything goes well. That's a big IF ain't it?

why should you have ASKED for questions? A Town hall IMPLIES there will be two way communication. I even tried to get someone ON HERE to do it for you....nothing.
Just like how prepared this site was for console gamers to come back to the game.

Dude, I just wanted to know roughly. I didn't give any specific dates. I just wanted to know when I should "roughly" start a new save:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I don't require specific dates from them. I'm glad you have a wild imagination. That's great!:love:

I don't know that they are really any faster. I had trouble chasing them down on foot in the past as well. Sometimes they'll stop or run into something, letting me kill them easily. Other times, they can outrun me. I gave up trying to chase chickens on foot a long time ago. Ranged weapons or a vehicle are just a far better option.

Solar has been less than a generator for as long as I've played this game. I don't know the reasoning - probably something to do with solar being less efficient - but it is kind of a pain. I've learned to live with it, but it would be nice to have it do the same wattage.

"Weeks" is roughly. That can be anything from 2 weeks to 8 weeks, give or take. It does not imply any specific range of dates or expected date. Also, the way he wrote that was that it would take a decent amount of time, but not "forever". That tends to suggest a longer time frame, so I'd be surprised if it's not into September. Of course, he's also talking about everything. Some stuff will appear sooner than other stuff. To complete all of it, it could be the end of the year. Some stuff might come out in August.

It isn't likely that you'll need a new game with the new version, though. Not until 3.0, which is likely a year or more away. That's not a guarantee, but it's usually the case. Though certain changes coming up may not work on an existing game even if you can still play your old game.

There was no hidden meaning or attempt to find out the exact date in my question. I just wanted to know if there would be anything else in the summer. As far as I remember, 2.3 was also mentioned (considering that the first patch for 2.2 was released) As I assumed, they don't necessarily have to add all the promised content in one patch (nobody said that) Starting over with each patch is my habit!

Hammer, you need to stop reading intention into people's actions, such as with TFPs and the road map. How do you know they had no intention to follow the road map??? the answer is you don't, and you never will, unless someone official says "we never intended to follow the dates we hoped to achieve in the road map". At that point you would be right, but until then you are just wrong.

You complained that the Townhall wasn't a townhall because there were no questions being posed by the direct audience. But again that is incorrect. They had a list of questions that have been asked previously by the audience. Faatal stated that the majority of the questions popping up in the chat were being answered. The level of communication and access we have the the developers of the game is leagues above any other game community i've been a part of, so if you are expecting more i don't know what to tell you. Expect less communication, because all other game forums you will see less than this.

After that, you went on a rambling tirade. Calm down, have some dip.

Well, 2.2 is experimental. That usually lasts a couple weeks. That will put us at least close to the middle of August. *Maybe* there will be a 2.3 EXP before the end of August, but it is very unlikely to see stable before September, at the earliest.

I don't expect or demand much from them. I'm doing well in the experimental one. I just find the excessive aggression in such situations amusing. I asked the question calmly, without demands or specific dates. I was just curious what Faatal thought about it! I'm in no hurry. Let everything be ready when it's done!

In what way was any response I gave "aggressive"? I have you the answer, and provided a reason for the answer. You wanted to know if it night be by the end of August. I said that the weeks mentioned didn't mean that, and explained why.
