@faatal I just thought of a Cvar to add, you may have already done so, but,

it would help Storm Brewing, WindSpeed debuff, for player speed only the

movement, part  not the melee.  Temp <> 70 speed debuff, as wind speed,

and temperature would change, player speed would dynamically change to

match. Just need multi-directional wind.
Wind does not have a direction in game and being gimped in speed, because wind, does not sound fun. That is not how weather survival will work. It is actually designed as biome survival.

Ok.

I was thinking of a blizzard or sand storm, at between 70
and 100, the thought was inspired by the prior posts, and
the title Storms Brewing. I was hoping it could be added
even if not enacted, like some of the other xml.txt
Easter egg properties that I use.  But as you say it's just
going to be a biome differentiation.

Sounds good, anxious to experience it.

I don't know about WASD back then as I joined the team at the start of A17.

One of the console programmers is working on adding a console Performance or Quality choice and a toggle for FSR.

Crossplay is nearing completion.

Glad you two are having fun!

Dang, totally okay you don't know the answer to the first one, shoutout to the console programmer who is adding a performance option, tell them they're the best 😎🙏 and yessssssssss, cross-play is going to rule!! I hope y'all can pull it off successfully!

If you don't mind answering again (or anyone who knows the answer), do you have an idea of how it's [cross-play] going to work? I assume console players will need Live (or the PS equivalent), or PC players will need a server of some kind (or LAN, potentially? I'm not sure how all that works unfortunately)?

The only cross-play I've ever played is Minecraft Bedrock, in which at least one user needs a Realm—aka a paid private server—unless they open it up to LAN and then invite their friends via Live (again, we only have xbox at this house besides PC, so that's all I know); and Borderlands 3, where you need a separate SHiFT account that you connect to both console and PC with, and then they handle the servers, I think? I do hope it's more like Borderlands, but I will absolutely pay the money needed to run a private server for my parent and younger sibling (and my parent has Live so they can always make the server instead lol).

Hey, guys. First of all I want to say thank you very much for the console version of the game! Played more than 100 hours already! I would like to ask about the possibility of adding the following features to the game:
1) Please add a new persona, let it be a witch who would sing a scary song. (like in horror movies)
2) It would be great to get recipes for drying meat.
3) The possibility of making a water pipe, extract water from rivers, or drill a well. There are pipes, why not?
4) Put “motion detectors” let them be on solar panels.
5) Solar panels for lighting would also be great to see in the game.

Thank you!

For #4 and #5, you can already use solar panels for lights and sensors.  It works just like with generators, though you'd want to include a battery bank so they continue to work at night.

I think he wants a hinge and a router system to allow a sensor that placed on solar panel to follow the sun. Or maybe he wants  the sensor to turn on the solar panel when sun come up. But its that kind what happens anyways. He not very clear.  I think what hes asking for the lights , is a light with a solar panel combination. Then you need a battery to add to this.  Its kind of a cool idea. But thats a price light. Its cheaper just to use a torch or candle. Nice idea thou

A pot makes all the difference. But they are such a pain to get.

Sadly, after about five days of playing. I was only able to get two jars of good water and that was because the player stars with it.

All I was able to find was murky water. Even in coolers or on store shelves. What gives? Did someone go around and dump all the good water and refill it with crap?

Of course I could have bought one, for 600 Dukes, which is steep considering the exchange rate is murder. I would have to trade a warehouse for that.

Then searching for one is a pain. I went through several homes and not one of them had a single pot. Just about all of them would have their stove open. Meaning nothing inside. Or I would find some rotten crap in it, literally.

I finally got one after visiting a dozen homes.

What is with sticking us with Rex anyway?  Navezgane map. Its like he is the only trader around.

A pot is cheap to buy if you don't have luck finding one in residential POI.  Normally, you'll find one easily, but RNG is fickle.  Once you have a pot and a dew collector, water is not a challenge.  Normally, that can easily happen in the first day or two, before you run out of the clean water that you start with.  Unless you're avoiding quests, a quick quest or two easily covers the cost of a pot.  If you're avoiding quests, skip reading a few magazines and sell them and you'll have enough.  Those few skipped magazines won't really make a lot of difference.  There are a variety of other things that also sell for enough to only need to sell a few items to cover the cost of a pot.  But I wouldn't do that unless absolutely necessary because they are normally not hard to find.

Rekt is the "starter" trader as of 1.x.  They have a specific order for traders now.

Overall, the game is challenging and fun. Other than the gate with the pot. It is still fun to play. Seems like that should be common item or another way to cook and boil water.

I had to figure out the changes as I haven't played in awhile. Which added to the survival play. I like games that challenge critical thinking.

Any talk about bandits or is that still a DLC?

Bandits have never been a DLC.  They are planned for the base game and are in the roadmap at the beginning of this thread.

Bandits won't be a DLC, and I'll honestly be surprised if they ever get added.

Hello again!
A few more questions, if I dig a bunker and make a greenhouse out of it where I will grow plants, will they grow without sunlight? If not, would it be a good idea to add an extra type of lamp for that purpose. As for the motion sensors, I would install them next to their built base, for the detection zombies. I want a witch who sings a scary song. Solar batteries combined with a battery would give light to my base. Which would evenly illuminate the room. Thank you, everyone! If you made a well from which you could pour water, you could add the function of watering plants, and it turns out that the plants grow without water.  Pardon my English friends! :)

Bandits are part of the final storyline so they are coming as part of the base game unless the story takes a radical turn.

There are several elements of the final story that are partly in the game and cause some confusion because the whole element is not there, such as the biome progression.  Bandits may fall into that category once added as they will likely be implemented before the story that uses them.

Hey @faatal, we're approaching the end of the year and Storm's Brewing was initially announced for Q4 2024. I know it's done when it's done, but so close to the intended release date, I feel you should have a sense of wether it's on track or if it will need to be delayed a bit. Could you share how confortable you and the team feel about the release?
