Who appoints new moderators? Might not be a bad idea to find a console user willing to do it.

I'm hoping these effects are made more impactful again in some form, even if the weather itself doesn't change much. Not sure why they didn't just give each new armor varying hyper and hypothermal values based on the type of armor or something. Unless they will just be removing it altogether in the future.

If you aren't actively ripping TFP, Hammer would consider you a defender. He's just hanging out here because his thread in the console section asking if people were upset about the current console version didn't drum up the hate he wanted.

I agree, I don't like linear crap being added to my sandbox game. But at least faatal mentioned this stuff can be turned off. So maybe that is a trend for these types of features.

So it was another useless post, but, you concede to Sylen It might not be a bad idea to appoint a new moderator for the console section.

I care about the console version. I care about how we are getting treated.

It's an expression like "I'm not going to lie but I am"... Sorry if it's vague...
it's okay.

people try using subtle sarcasm...I say don't be subtle.

It leads to more misunderstanding to not be direct...for all I knew you were poking @%$# at someone else...be sad if they never knew.

Just so we are all on the same page: The job of a moderator is ONLY to moderate. Helping in the support section is something entirely different and there are also a lot of non-moderators helping there.

And while we are on possible misconceptions: Someone seems to have said that optimizations will only come at the end of development. And that isn't exactly true:

A lot of optimization work has already been done. Especially to get the game onto console there were lots of optimizations necessary to get the memory footprint down. But even before that Fataal was working on optimizations, so much that he once said the low-hanging fruits were already plucked. At the end of development there will probably be some more, as well as bug fixes and final polishing, but don't expect miracles.

please... what are you trying to say? it is a real mixed message. "whoever said it won't get optimized until the end is only mostly right?"... "It will get some optimizations...but nothing great...and we don't know when".

Naw, not poking fun of anyone in particular,  just agreeing with @ParadiseLostUK on his comment about "No offense" and those kind of lead ins when that's exactly what the Commenter is thinking...

Would also be nice that if your vehicle gets on your own land claim - that it can't be destroyed by others (wrench or weapons fire).

Having the idea of building a nice garage separate from your main base and not having to close every single windows and door to prevent some schmuck shooting into them and blowing up your vehicle.

It would potentially encourage the use of garage doors along with windows to make it look realistic. But with the fear of your vehicle to be destroyed after spending or using so much resources to make it just to be taken out easy by some griefer; ain't cool.
.
The nice idea of be able to log off and exit game while others continue to play - with it out and exposed visually to people but on a land claim where they can admire your fleet of vehicles, but can't do nothing to them would be like bragging rights of your accomplishments.. lol

I personally love it that Zeds (and animals) are able to have a go at our vehicles, it's great realism ; if one gets destroyed i'd build a new one even if it meant loads of resources but there's always creative mode too; the only annoyance would be to lose a vehicle full of sexy loot; but i rarely leave loot in a vehicle for too long, just in case.

Of course in multiplayer we'd have to find the resources to build a new vehicle but again, that's part of the fun, but i hear you
