PC V1.2 b27 Stable

My mate also noticed it when i was playing B27 Stable on his server the other night; i posted about it in one of the threads here somewhere; basically our base was being attacked and whilst i'd played some B27 on my own, he hadn't yet, so he didn't even notice there were screamers as he couldn't hear them. There were a shedload of radiated zombies attacking our base so it's possible that the screamer sounds were drowned out by that, but certainly i experienced it alone in single player.  I am running B27 with my previous save and many mods but when i get chance i will start a new map, without mods and see if the screamer sounds sound any better, but i am pretty sure things are fine at my end, she just sounds so feeble, completely polar opposite to how she did/how she should

he darkness settings are nice but it should just be part of the base game just naturally make the game much darker that would solve everyone's complaints

The settings are part of the base game. Just not default.

You only have to set brightness in the options from 50% to anywhere below 50% and then the game should have the new darkness settings plus less brightness.

Newer animals would be nice, sure, but they need to fix the buggy movement/animations of the new bunny, poor thing glides backwards without moving any limbs (have see this a few times now) 😪 ; (it doesn't always do that, but it's animal cruelty nonetheless)

I was roaming steam to see if anything peaked my interest
for any sales. I watched the video 7DTD again.

It brought two things to mind, the first was, If clothes overlays
are re-enabled can they be a part of the zombie loot. Randomly
damaged, just basic things like boots etc., similar to when the actor
removed the dead person's boots showing a basic form of self survival.

The second and I realized finally the subliminal desire I had\have
for the crusty debris overlay. It came from the bomb scene. That
scene makes me think of more of an electron bomb, or massive EMP,
vs a dirty bomb. Because some of the building are wrecked, the people
are dead, but there is no dirt. It's not a complaint, just a random
thought that was prompted by the video. If you do ever grime it up,
please just create a folder in mods with either an editable atlas
or editable images.

This comes from an aspect that you, TFP created. It's proven to work
well. Although you only use it for zombies, it may be possible to expand
it much later, to the world objects.  <property name="AltMats". I like
how it functions. I hope its possible, from a creative standpoint.

'fraid the new screamer sounds are still just dreadful, i seriously can't fathom how anybody could have taken her previous sounds and changed them to what we have now; i hate to criticise but she has lost virtually all of her scream now; what's next ?, changing Arlene's giggle to a very inaudible cough, i just don't understand how this very unique game, with very unique sounds decided the (extremely unique screamer sounds) needed to be changed) ; i am baffled, plus cannot believe nobody else has noticed this yet

While the change to the brightness looks perfect now at night, I think it looks weird how it lowers the light while indoors during the day. Because the lighting is global, it's distractingly odd looking how it darkens the exterior while indoors. I think it would be best to leave the brightness adjustment to only affect the night time and not the interior light levels. I'm gonna have to revert back to using a lighting mod for the time being.

this very unique game, with very unique sounds
I hate to break it to you but most (if not all) of the zombie sounds in the game are from sound effects libraries. The unique 7 Days to Die sounds can be found in movies like A Quiet Place and other games like Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare.

But I like the new screamer sounds, though I haven't encountered a scout screamer yet. Maybe there's something bugged about the scout's audio levels. Though I have found non-scout screamers and I love what they've done. It sounds nasty and dirty. It reminds me of the zombie from the movie Creepshow - "Where's my cake?". It has a deep, gravelly, dirty sound mixed into the voice now.

When i say unique sounds i mean in resperct to the screamer, her sounds were a very unique "game mechanic" ; a bit like the scary sounds in the first Alien movie (that i use for my morning wake up alarm) - "self destruct in t-minus 10 minutes" etc. Her scream was incredible, and makes you go into panic stations which is great. but now - meh

Lol, you must really hate oversleeping!   :fear: :horn:   :heh:
(it doesn't always work, i stay out on Sunday nights, often 'til the next day so even that alarm sound doesn't always work 😁).

playing 7 Days all day today, and many screamers, couldn't kill them quick enough so had many more screamers and all that goes with it; point is that i still think the new screamer sounds are dreadful, really nowhere near as scary and chilling as before 🥵

But I .
Yeah the lighting is very weird indoors

i've only just now got a helmet mod in B27 plus i'm still using the "7D2D World Lighting Tuned (v1.0 b333)" mod;   now's a good as time as any to stop the game, remove the lighting mod and can then see what the new lighting is all about

Is there a bigger explanation somewhere of what was actually broken in this aspect before that patch or what this change means?
There was some additional discussion about it here

From what I understand it sounded like at lower percentages it was giving proportionately less loot than expected

Cheers. Would still be curious about exact percentages, but that gives a decent idea.

Hi! Ps5 player here, what’s the best way to connect to a PC’s players server with the crossplay? I’ve never played before, we were waiting for crossplay, and it’s been very confusing trying to connect because no matter how we search we can’t get the server to pop up. We did the world size as 8192. Thank you!!
