Hi! Ps5 player here, what’s the best way to connect to a PC’s players server with the crossplay? I’ve never played before, we were waiting for crossplay, and it’s been very confusing trying to connect because no matter how we search we can’t get the server to pop up. We did the world size as 8192. Thank you!!
Although I don't use console and haven't done crossplay, from what I've seen, you need to search for the player's gamer tag to get the game to show up if you are looking for a specific one.  Also, the host cannot have any mods installed at all and console currently (I believe) cannot connect to servers; only P2P.

I think a few more models would be cool like a farmer, Sheriff, a few civilian model and maybe a few more solder models

In terms of wildlife I think we could have more. Maybe more types of meat like prime meat.

Turkeys, fox's, wild dogs, bobcats, elk, black bears, maybe cows and bulls.

Some extra stuff and maybe some higher tier versions of some of the animals we previously have like dire wolfs. Direbears, dire hogs. Etc

I'd love to see them make new HD models for some of the zombies that were removed in previous Alphas and add them back into the game.

- Frostbitten Worker

- Frigid Hunter

- Zombie Cowboy

- Zombie Farmer

- Motivated Cheerleader

- Team Z Football Player

"NEW Zombie model types (ideas)"

- Navezgane Sheriff

- Navezgane Sheriff's Deputy

- NFD Firefighter (perfect for Fire Station POI)

- Male Doctor (we have a female Nurse)

- Female Cop (we have a male Cop)

- Female Soldier (we have a male Soldier)

- Infected Teacher (perfect for Highschools)

I remember in one of the alpha 20 dev streams the cheerleader, farmer and footballer were removed due to them being out of place and not enough locations that match their backgrounds but with the amount of pois like this now that point doesn't stand I'm in agreeance we should see them return honestly.

The farmer makes sense and the cowboy but thr cheerleader... not so much. Maybe she can be a diner waiter or something

With some slightly different appearances I think they'd fit in as much as the others. For instance, if the cheerleader were a female in athletic clothing, she could be a cheerleader, a jogger, or whatever. The same with the footballer, though not in pads and a helmet. The farmer fits.

Would they need some kind of schtick? If so, an athletic female might tumble sometimes (cartwheels, rolls, handsprings) when running, which would make headshots hard. Maybe the male athlete would duck and weave. I've no idea what a farmer might do.

Farmer digs underground lol

But we could uses a zombie that's weaves around

I'm completely perplexed, so I have a few questions, regarding vultures.

Will they ever return to attack on sight, other than as sleepers?

If not will an "xml option" be returned to allow them to be set to attack on sight?

Is there a simple personal fix to re-allow the attack sequence?

If so please elucidate me, because I have tried everything that I can think of

and have not been able to get it to work yet. No, I don't want to run into cacti, but

I do want to run from Vultures.

A friend had an issue with Grover High not completing, tried the reset sleepers and kill all and it didn't work.  He tried it several times.  Ironically, I was getting ready for horde night but had already accepted Grover High in the wasteland.  I just tried it and had the same thing (I'm on 1.2 b27).  No yellow dot. I tried sleeper r  and then killall and finally got the yellow dot, but not at the same location that I did in 1.1.  I ran around and tried it again a few times but no luck completing the quest.  I thought this bug was resolved?

For one, I don't understand why there can't be area specific zombies. If the idea of a football player and cheerleader zombie roaming around everywhere is a problem, why not just make them specific to schools and the like? We now have the inmate zombie that only spawns in prisons after all, and the burnt zombie that primarily spawns in the burnt forest.

Also, why can't the football player and cheerleader roam around everywhere anyway? If you watch George Romero's Day of the Dead, it takes place in an underground military facility in some remote area of Florida. When they get overrun by zombies, you see football players, brides, clowns, etc.

I have another zombie mod pack coming out eventually. In it I have 3 snow biome specific zombies that I have set to only spawn in the snow biome. They have blue, frost bitten skin. I messed with the textures of one of them until their skin looked like frozen ice and the voice has the sound of crushing ice, as if the frozen flesh is cracking as they vocalize. I've been playing with early versions of them in my games and I love it that I only see them in the snow. I don't want to see them anywhere else. It makes the snow biome more special and it makes those zombies more special as well.

Overall (as I've been saying from the beginning) the game needs more zombies, and not necessarily specific types of people like football players. It needs more generic looking people. Nothing too specific. Nothing too easy to identify. The more samey they look, the more it'll feel like a zombie apocalypse. And in turn it'll make the more unique looking zombies (like the ones we have now) be more special.

You should probably post it as a bug so the devs see it and can look into it (with your log).  Posts here disappear so quickly behind a lot of other posts that it's likely to be missed.  As far as being fixed, their fix should affect zombies that despawn without being killed.  It wouldn't prevent you from not getting a zombie group that requires a trigger to be used that you didn't use (opening a door, pushing a button, etc) as that isn't a bug.

PC player also has to launch 7 Days to Die through the EAC .exe in the game folder (steamapps/common/7DaystoDie/7DaystoDie_EAC.exe) if they haven't already after removing all their mods (copying and pasting the folder somewhere other than the location its in is fine, like putting it in Documents or something), but yes, searching the gamertag of the person who started the server is how you search for servers, as I found out in the silliest way possible the night the update launched.

If it still doesn't work when searching, try making sure the PC player doesn't have any special characters in their name that you can't enter via the xbox keyboard. I know I had to change mine from special unicode characters to plaintext for it to pop up.

And if it still doesn't show up after that, a quick restart of the game on the PC player's end usually works (something I've had to do as the PC user several times now). Sometimes I get an error about EOS (Epic Online Service/Servers) not working, or the "could not connect to EOS" online stuff, and restarting the game fixes it. I think it's just because the servers are a bit stressed given how many people are playing the game cross-play right now.

While the change to the brightness looks perfect now at night, I think it looks weird how it lowers the light while indoors during the day.

Yeah the lighting is very weird indoors
I kept looking at that from the time it was added, looking for the block trigger

at first I thought it was doors, now I think it's the indoors property. It's applying

fog to the lighting, i figured it out by changing fogcolor in F1. It's just that it was

too abrupt, so I slowed the transition down to 1/10 speed, makes it way more

subtle. The only thing that semi conflicts is that wedge blocks say in an attic don't

fully share the same light opacity setting as most cubes. If the blocks shared a

hierarchy from transparent to translucent to opaque  it would make transition

a bit more consistent. Still testing. Here is a bit i learned, Clouds make it darker

during the day and lighter during the night.

Yes i ask for a bunch of new zombie types about 4 to 6 weeks ago. I love this idea. Add some male doctors, fire fighters and female police officers, swat team, female farmers. (pig tales would be funny ) store clerks male and female models. Fast food workers. And How about a skater that drags his skater board around. I also request bugs, like spiders, @%$# roaches and Locust swarms. Add some Rats ,mean ones. Just a few more ideas.

Even a Garbage Collector & Mail Carrier zombie models would be cool, with some new abandoned Garbage & Mail trucks left on the roads around the map would be pretty cool as well. It fits perfect with all of the trash and mailboxes in the game lol.

You nailed it...PERFECTO!!! 👌

Change the Motivated Cheerleader into a Motivated Waitress zombie model.

They attack when your health is low.

I find it very realistic that they prey on the weak and also good for gameplay. They wouldn't have a chance if you were at full health and they would be just an XP delivery service. But currently they would attack when you are weakend by a fight, which makes them dangerous.

It actually makes sense. I've had like 3 vultures f*** me up one time out of nowhere while fighting zombies in a POI, I got a broken arm, infection and everything lol.

I understand why they were changed for the default game, and

when playing default it fits. But, now there is less and less modding

being available. I never used them for points, I had a

cascading setup, that allowed them to build up to a circling

flock, I duplicated the entity vulture but gave them random attack

patterns sizes and extra HP, based on distance, and time, some would attack and fly

away, while others attacked as a group. If I got hurt then all began

to chase, like a swarm. Every entity can spawn in all biomes, but they

were the primary threat in the desert. Imagine if you will, you enter the desert,

and see two birds circling, no biggie. Then you notice, more until there are

15 or 20, no major fps drop because it's mostly terrain and a decent pc. Using

between 5 or 6 spawn lines allows for volume increase gradually increasing the

threat level. In the entities I had 5 plus vultures all look the same but, some when

randomly generated in a flock of 20 snipe attacked, so head is always on a swivel.

Then you "Know" if you get hurt you must Di Di most Ricky Tick or you're dead. Mine

actually had high hp.

When they changed, it meant as long as I'm not clumsy and or intentionally hit a

cactus there is nothing but two birds casually flying about. For me removing the

open area attack, and making them only sleepers. Would be no different

than taking the ninja dogs out of the open areas and posting them only in dog

houses. Bet that won't happen. The mechanim being re-enabled in the

background would be non-intrusive and virtually invisible to anyone else.

When mine attacked window blocks, with a buff, it made a movie time feeling.

It included a circle of life scenario, every dead faction attacked all living

and vice versa.

My modifications use the eai properties in unconventional ways to cause

spontaneity, unpredictability, and chaotic disorder. Walking on streets, raises

heat, vs terrain to enhance feeling of stealth, during my play. I can raise

screamers just by walking down a block vs creeping in the tall re-scaled grass.

So for me it's a big change. I waited to see if it was a temporary change.

This is the only parallel I know that can explain what I mean.

What would you feel if you had a car for 7 plus years, had
customized it with seat covers, a custom sound system, HD lights
Z-rated tires, and new rims.

Then the manufacturer recalled it for an update. When you got the
car back it had the default am/fm only radio welded in to the console,
the seats had been replaced with a nonconventional shape that no covers
would fit, and the everybody else has these too lights were returned
with special key bracketing linked into your computer.

It is no longer your car it just a car.

PS5 player here. Some friends of mine have set up a dedicated server on PC. Is there any way to connect to it? They have enabled crossplay, but I’ve tried searching by name and Steam name with no luck. Is this even possible?
