Don't like the new Experimental Alpha? Don't play it. It's literally that simple. It's not even an official stable release yet. It's as blunt as I can be.

I have no problems with people providing negative feedback, in fact I myself have issues regarding the level gates and the weapons, but ultimately I've not spent a year updating a game that in itself I've been developing for many years. If you don't like it, create your own? Can't create your own, then it's pretty much tough luck because as in all walks of life those who do, do, and those who can't criticise.

For those who just drop in to repeat the same tired, boring and predictable bull♥♥♥♥ about how it's the worst thing ever. And there have been a few notable "stuck records" in this forum. You need to step back, realise that this game was developed not for you personally but for all and that broad brush claims it's been ruined is akin to a spoilt child throwing their toys out of their pram on Christmas because they toy you were promised wasn't exactly what you wanted.

I dont know how somebody with rep power can start a thread like this.
Not sure "rep power" has any relevance here. For example there is someone who never posts but logs in purely to put negative rep onto my posts. Other than giving me a laugh that they're so annoyed they had to create a different account just to vent their anger, what is the point of rep anyway on this board?

Don't like negative posts? Stop complaining and go read something else :p
It's a fair point, and comes under the paradox of complaining about people complaining. There have been some absolute doozies of posts though, who somehow seem to assume that the game is built specifically for their own game style and that TFP changing anything was akin to Mad Mole personally coming along and ♥♥♥♥ting in their cornflakes. The hyperbole and arrogance is off the scale, and these people don't seem to realise it.

Well of course people are going to defend what they want. That's the entire point.

...even if they're wrong and disagree with me. =)

I thought it was something the forum moderators granted.

you appear with 0 now, I thought I saw 1 before.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion man. LOL

Got no problem with people saying they like or dislike this.

It's when it boils over to absolutism. When people claim that the game is ruined broken or unplayable. The lag, now the lag is definitely a show stopper, but the amount of glue or bones? That's nothing, yet people have used that as evidence the whole game is borked.

I've discussed A17 on several threads, and while being broadly positive about it I accept that balancing (and perhaps a slight move back to character progression rather than level gates) is needed. That's not a broken game in any sense of the word.

Shut the f*ck up, Donnie, you have no frame of reference! ;)

Seriously, just about everything can be improved with a TBL quote.

As I said, pram emptied toys everywhere. I don't think I've ever not been able to start a thread though, be daft if that was tied to rep.

Rep power doesn't say anything :D

But yeah... threads like this are so petty.

"YOU CRITIZISED SOMETHING I LIKE SO YOU SUCK!!"

How about this ricp:

I absolutely love 7D2D. It was my favourite game for well over a year and I recommended it so hard to my friends, that six of them actually bought it (even two of them didn't like it as much :( )

I loved the sandboxy voxel world that was 10x better than minecraft.

I loved the horror at night (until I figured all the exploits)

I loved collecting all the nice gunparts

And so much more. Different Alphas brought different challenges, exploits and removals of features. But they all improved the overall feel and flow of the game.

A17experimental is an experimental sure.

And if you like it, I'm so happy for you.

But there are some issues. And your post completely ignores those and tells ppl to go fk themselves if they want the game to succeed.

A17 has some big issues that are part of a mentality of TFPs in recent years. (remove, don't fix)(Challenge over plausible worldbuilding) and so on. And people try to tell them that there are major problems they need to adress (levelgating for instance or the faulty A.I.)

When you tell those people to "just not play it", you are trying to kill this game and its playerbase.

Oh and also it's rude AF.

Part of Early Access is customer feedback. The feedback on here is NOT FOR YOU, it's for the developers. Take your own advice and stop with your same tired, boring and predictablle bull♥♥♥♥ about complaining players. Don't like it? Start playing something that's not in EA...

Sorry bud, but endless threads started in this forum with people just slating the game with explicit claims that it's irretrievably broken or unplayable are the forum equivalent of pissing yourself in a public place. It's not feedback and it's certainly not constructive criticism.

Don't really understand your second point, I'm entirely happy with the EA model that TFP use and I'm broadly happy with A17 Exp. I see no reason to stop playing it. I think you've got a little mixed up when trying to flip my own argument.

I am so disappointed in this post. And from a fellow Scot to boot.

"YOU CRITIZISED SOMETHING I LIKE SO YOU SUCK!!"
If that's what you take from my post then you've definitely got the wrong end of the stick.

My issue is the hyperbole and over reaction, not that they are criticising it.

Fixed that
"white knight"? Really?

Come on bud, you can do better than quote from the "big book of Internet fallacies".

Disappointed that you never made it? Disappointed that it's true? Disappointed in the fact that the tory government have ridden roughshod over the will of the Scottish people while pandering the bigoted abd religious hatred of our Norn Iron cousins? So many things are disappoint, big man. ;)

So you are saying Fun Pimps should only be receiving positive feedback?

Do you really think this will help them?

How old are you?

I've seen you around on this forum since I joined a couple of days ago and you seem to have a personal vendetta against players who leave negative feedback. I could be wrong, but you really seem like an insecure person, blindly defending a game not understanding that it takes both positive AND negative feedback to craft a great game.

If you can't take constructive criticism, don't open those threads.

It's not like they are aimed towards you or anything you've done.

Stop your silly attempt to silence feedback and be a pest to a game's community.
