As a newly appointed Moderator Supremo, my first decree is to give everyone in TFP a large pay raise! Followed by a much larger pay raise for myself (Think of a ludicrous about of money... then double it).

My second imperial directive, is everyone must type quietly, no rude or thoughtless key clattering will be tolerated!

Don't forget to add per game sales percentage royalties to your contract ;)

 
IDK I think it has more to do with: Ppl opening threads and for some reason can't be critical about aspects of the game without falling into Hyperbole and personal attacks and slights against those who made the game, which basically turns their post into nothing more then a bland rant, which diminishes it's purpose to begin with.

Then if someone disagrees with them (even without any slights against them), they and others immediately attack those who disagrees, with personal insults as well.

Then, their posts inevitably gets attacked in kind by others, because why not! The posts they are responding to, didn't care about how they insulted anyone to begin with either so.. <shrug>

Rinse/Repeat

The thread spirals and cycles back-n-forth.

Well, that's pretty much what I meant.... it gets out of hand when the thread turns into attacks against other posters instead of more measured responses to other's opinions.

Don't you think a subscription fee each month is what a Moderator Supremo rightly deserves?

I have great responsibilities: I need to keep the "talent" satisfied. Torment the wayward players and think... thoughts... important thoughts.

Don't like the new Experimental Alpha? Don't play it. It's literally that simple. It's not even an official stable release yet. It's as blunt as I can be.
I have no problems with people providing negative feedback, in fact I myself have issues regarding the level gates and the weapons, but ultimately I've not spent a year updating a game that in itself I've been developing for many years. If you don't like it, create your own? Can't create your own, then it's pretty much tough luck because as in all walks of life those who do, do, and those who can't criticise.

For those who just drop in to repeat the same tired, boring and predictable bull♥♥♥♥ about how it's the worst thing ever. And there have been a few notable "stuck records" in this forum. You need to step back, realise that this game was developed not for you personally but for all and that broad brush claims it's been ruined is akin to a spoilt child throwing their toys out of their pram on Christmas because they toy you were promised wasn't exactly what you wanted.

Bad opinion. People invest their money supporting developers and if in the end all they receive is "Don't like it, don't play it", then it only shows how bad communication from Fun pimps are! I would suggest to ask them what they don't like, which bugs they encounter etc.

This is almost impossible.

How do you please thousands of people who "invested". And are they bound to listen to ONLY kickstarters? That is TERRIBLE game developing. Sometimes gamers think they are WAY more important to the development process than they actually are.

I would make the argument the TFP actually did a better job of making a game to please most people than many other developers do. The game is so easily moddable that you can have a completely different experience and get exactly what you want (or close to it). For example compare Ravenhearst (which is excellent, by the way) with DEADication's Romero Style mod and you'll have almost completely different games.

 
Sorry bud, but endless threads started in this forum with people just slating the game with explicit claims that it's irretrievably broken or unplayable are the forum equivalent of pissing yourself in a public place. It's not feedback and it's certainly not constructive criticism.

Your welcome, I orignally found it from a chinese novel translator who I am a patreon of. It was the image at the top of the mail to let ya know about releases, I was like "Deff saving this."

 
From a simple business (making money) point of view... you should simply not pay attention to anyone already put their money in the middle. You should find ways to get the money from people that still havent put anything in... Pretty simple actually.

And thats nothing wrong in my book. I totally understand and I got my money worth a long time ago. Just feels a bit sad that the direction of the game is taking such a sharp turn...
