I wonder if it would be possible to make sensors ally friendly...You are an ally, door opens...you are a zombie or non ally...turrets activa.......well you get picture.
Screw that, I want to be able to manually fire the turrets using the screen we use to align them.

Why? I thought it was supposed to be reworked for A17, after it was taken out of A16.

If I am not mistaken can't we already sort of do that? I recall setting one up in creative mode to try and I could fire it manually. It worked perfectly until I could see myself on the camera and didn't realize I could shoot myself.

And your post was aimed at me wasn't it....I know you have an urge to take me out sometime with a turret...

That "hungry" zombie is a dead ringer for a lady I know in town. Her name is Vickie. Since i am obese, I don't think it is unfair or cruel to comment that TFP must have been working from a pic of Vickie cuz I was shocked when I saw her in the game. We have shakie willie and "angry young man" as well (the guy that stamps around with fists at his sides)

They have to be prepared to do it properly. Worry not. You will smell a lot in A18. Imagine the smell of all of us. Umm ..

But you can. I use motion sensors all the time to turn the lights on. Just put one above the door and set the view.

 
I live in AZ and it is monsoon season... some massive lighting storms, mostly in the evenings would be very fitting...
Many, many years ago I found myself driving through Arizona in early August, and I saw one of these storms in early evening just outside Tucson. Oh my god. I'm from Florida, and I thought I'd seen thunderstorms, but man. Nothing like that. That was almost 30 years ago, but I've never forgotten those immense spiderweb cracks across the sky and the rain torrents down distant mountainsides.

surprised you dont just put a radius of effect on it, the stronger the smell the greater the radius. a zed enters the radius, it gps's you. it does not affect any zeds outside of it's effect.

is there a way to mod that as a temp fix?

 
You can do that in the editor by enabling the new SRP but you'd still have to rebuild ALL of shaders from the ground up (literally) otherwise everything will be bright pink.
lol, yeah the new Vulkan rendering right in the editor feature is pretty cool if that's what you're referring to! :D

I really hope A17 builds will at least have the Vulkan renderer available as an option to switch to so we can try it out if it's not going to be the default.

What's the status on smell system in Alpha 17? I couldn't find anything relating to smell system being fixed or improved. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough? :apathy:
Well they are doing an overhaul of the entire stealth system aren't they? If they delayed scent then it's probably due to the stealth changes already being big, so maybe for A18 they'll roll scent into the new system too.

 
It was until #treeboobgate. TFP reworked it into the more accepted stripper zombies.
Shame. It seems like Neebs could have used it in today's episode.

About the new dynamic spawning of sleepers, would that allow for the room full of rabbits? (Really, it's just the age-old desire for what I see on television to become reality.)
