So... how about that A17?

I saw some talk about weather in-game... I live in AZ and it is monsoon season... some massive lighting storms, mostly in the evenings would be very fitting... much like horde night but on other random nights. Just a thought and if it sounds similar to horde night, might make people pop their pants to hear another thunderstorm 2 nights after the last blood moon - haha

There should also be the "deafening silence" stage in that first post. I'm sure Joel and his accomplices sit around and discuss how to hook us and then leave us dry, and then repeat. Like fishing. Give them a tweet about a tree and then say nothing at all for a week... Watch them lose their minds. Say release the kraken and say experimental in July and then not a word... Yeah good definitely a sadist, but we love him. We know we should leave, but we don't. 😜

The other day Prime said that electric doors, hatches, and drawbridges are planned. He got the go ahead to implement them. But there is not enough time to do it for A17. However, he said enough of the coding is in there that modders will probably be able to play with it and get them going for A17 mods and then they'll be natively implemented in A18.

Great news Roland! Prime rocks!!

Hope he changes his mind though and implements the feature for A17 :)

I've always wanted to connect my doors to pressure plates/sensors. Guess I'll have to break my no-non-UI-mods policy!

 
What's the status on smell system in Alpha 17? I couldn't find anything relating to smell system being fixed or improved. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough? :apathy:

 
Yeah I hope they go more Malisis and less vanila minecraft when they do it because entity sensors are so much nicer than pressure plates.

 
I wonder if it would be possible to make sensors ally friendly...You are an ally, door opens...you are a zombie or non ally...turrets activa.......well you get picture.
