While ...
Is this about horde night or normal days?

On normal days your objective down there is not to be sensed.

On horde night a base down there needs to make use of fall damage to be effective. You might even want to lure some digging zombies on other days to save on digging the chasm

I panicked when I heard a dog behind me, obeyed instinct and took off running... instinct didn't know I was standing near a land mine. Ouch.
I was just about to learn how to make iron tools too...
Yo WD, glad to still see you around. 😎

About the only concession I'd make is they know how you got in and take a bread crumb approach. So if you don't have 50 air locks, and are willing to upkeep them, RIP.
Just having them not excavating the impossible magic earth-mover shafts and hit the entrance instead (even if it was GPS instead of crumbs) would be great! Even if they chewed up a lot of dirt/stone with the random hit factor on their way in, that'd still be better than "Teh Matrix III".

Will we be able to buy gym stuff weights etc. from trader to make our mancave/gym for a player build base?

Probably not, but a future alpha I'd like to make all model entities be able to radial menu and pickup with a timer so you can collect things for your fort, and do a few scavenger quests based on this feature.
oh, I thought picking up furniture was in A18. must have misread things somewhere.

I don't know any 7D2D player who doesn't use electricity, and I know a lot of players. Obviously 90% of players will be casual players, please, don't tell me that you care more about casual players who play your game and move on than players who dump thousands of hours of their life in 7D2D.
I'm not trying to pick a fight here. I'm merely stating the following: The Fun Pimps don't owe you or anyone else anything.

... uhh, unless refining gas stopped working you might as well say there's a "limited" amount of stone in the game. Don't be ridiculous.
ready made gas, if you want to be a pain in the butt. I have other things to mine. stop being so nit picky people

Also the fact that it took several years for you to finally play and reach high enough level to balance electricity is not good for the future of this game - you need at least someone on your team who knows the end game inside out otherwise we need to mod game heavily to enjoy it.

And lastly, from my experience players spend more than 80% of their playtime at 150+ level. So, please, add difficulty levels above insane with something crazy :)
actually, I care about those 90% they basically fund furthering the game for the 10% <using your numbers> who are truly invested into the game. emotionally speaking

It's not that important (my iron in this fire is weak here) because mining is much less necessary than it once was. There's far less chance of sprawling mining operations underground with deadly gravel, huge ore deposits, getting lost, etc.

I wonder how building a surface fortress on a hill will work. Will the z's dig a beeline to you and sap your walls? ;)

Anyone complaining about digger zombies getting into their mines or underground crafting bases is clearly not using enough spikes.

The zombies will shamble along until they're above you, or very nearly, before they even consider digging. Unless the spikes in a 4-deep ring 20-30m away from your mine/base took them all out already.

There are, of course, other options...but for the price of a few dozen trees you get 90%+ resistance to diggers while underground.

anything horde can be fixed with enough spikes

Try it.

It worked out quite nicely in early A17. For A18, we'll just have to wait and see. I didn't test it with a horde though. But the hill was quite high, 60+ blocks from the main ground.

I barely get around to electricity in 7DtD, typically, but I would like a little more flexibility like the ability to have additional connections on the relays and the logic (OR etc.) should people want it. I find the existing electrical to be just a bit too limited in the few times I've bothered with it.

An electrical box is already in the game as a deco item. Make a functional one that can take circuit configurations like Empyrion's signals pane has and people's circuitry itch is scratched. Allow several wires to be connected to/from it. Let people label the connections in the electrical box's UI, so if you're smart as soon as you attach something you go in and label it before attaching the next...

Yeah, probably very few people would use it, just like very few use electricity at all. But those few would very much like the feature.
