The fact it keeps coming up should show that people are in favour of having it turned off and that it's important for them.

Far better to be looked down on for hope and even irritating requests than being liked for being a nay sayer and hanging yourself over to resignation.

Even if The Fun Pimps didn't want to give in, if they gave the modders the tools to do it then they wouldn't have to.

I suppose I would take that over nothing at all.

Hmm...Generators = obnoxiously loud and must be buried near bedrock to keep them quiet, but provide a ton of energy.

Solar = obnoxious hum that is ridiculously too loud. Anyone ever "hear" a solar panel? ...I haven't

Could we please be able to buy a "silencer" at the trader, that throttles the sound of the generator or one for the solar panel? I love using electricity, but can't stand the annoying drone of the generator/hum of the Solar panels. I'll purchase that mod for 100,000 dukes - seriously.

ok, back to long cylindrical objects that explode...

Dynamite. snowdog, out of the gutter, we need breathing space.

I think they bounce a bit too much. yes when tossed they do bounce a little, but if you watch MM's video, he night as well be tossing tennis balls. buy an m80 firecracker, they are comparable in density and material. trust me they dont bounce like that. try a road flare. they are lighter and not as dense. they do bounce a bit more than dynamite, and even they dont bounce that much.

its the flannel. anyone wearing flannel, or tidy whities
or these bois

Skyrim zombie

I already provided two solutions for his style, A build a horde tower as he said he does, B, put turrets above your underground base to deal with screamers, and you will be safe in your bunker except on horde night until you die. If that isn't enough, then there seems to be an ulterior motive, only a pvp fan would object to my solutions.
As I pointed out, although I was correcting a misunderstanding about that playstyle it's not actually one that I still have.

Currently, my friends and I...

Now that quests are available, maybe people who just want to shoot and loot can do those, and not have to worry about building a huge base.
...do that.

We don't find mining fun, and we don't find building huge bases fun. And while we don't struggle with horde nights, we don't fnd them (and especially the resource gathering and re-building that is required afterwards) fun either. For us, those things are just a chore that - in previous alphas - had to be put up with in order to get to the fun parts of the game: hunting, scavenging, looting, and crafting.

So we now play without horde night and spend all our time doing the things we enjoy; instead of having to spend half the time doing things we didn't enjoy just to progress the game. We build just a modest overground base that we manually protect (we don't bother with turrets or complex traps, just spikes) from wandering hordes and screamers.

A lot of people would find this playstyle boring, but then we find all the preparation for and aftermath of horde night boring. It's good that the game is flexible enough that we can all enjoy it in different ways.

also put it some where that you don't go too

thats what i do

I don't know any 7D2D player who doesn't use electricity, and I know a lot of players. Obviously 90% of players will be casual players, please, don't tell me that you care more about casual players who play your game and move on than players who dump thousands of hours of their life in 7D2D.

Also the fact that it took several years for you to finally play and reach high enough level to balance electricity is not good for the future of this game - you need at least someone on your team who knows the end game inside out otherwise we need to mod game heavily to enjoy it.

And lastly, from my experience players spend more than 80% of their playtime at 150+ level. So, please, add difficulty levels above insane with something crazy :)
I'm just saying that only 10% use electricity, because 90% quit in an hour and 1% of those 10% would know what to do with AND gates and such, so we can't priorize 1% stuff over bandits and going gold. Its good enough as is, I've used it and I'm fine with it. I used fallouts extensively and it has a lot of clutter. I used minecrafts, and it has a lot of clutter. Its not a priority for us.

Enjoying a game is not dumping 1000's of hours. Don't act like you were paid minimum wage to work on something with royalties promised and we hosed you. You dropped 8 bucks or something and got 2000 hours of fun, you got a great deal no matter what we decide to do with the game from here on out.

Its not good I'm playing the game? Its the best thing to happen since A16. A17 I didn't test/play very much because I had to invent a whole new perk system in content lock in under two months, and the new framework broke everything. A18 is awesome because I spent so much time testing and balancing, giving guys feedback, etc.

Just having them not excavating the impossible magic earth-mover shafts and hit the entrance instead (even if it was GPS instead of crumbs) would be great! Even if they chewed up a lot of dirt/stone with the random hit factor on their way in, that'd still be better than "Teh Matrix III".

Yeah I don't think it would hard to target doors or follow smell the player took. Of course that might be exploitable, so maybe one or two cheese diggers to surprise you might be in order. I'd like for dirt to kind of fill in and collapse and refill mines that aren't visited (chunk reset system option) but this wouldn't fix your base, only abandoned mines.

dont forget the silly, we need something while we wait. reruns of your videos can only go so far. which build are you on now? b100 was some time ago
