Status: NEW I have not seen this as a known issue.

Bug Description:

Ghost buildings. After destroying POI buildings they are still visible in the distance. As you get closer they disappear. As you move away they disappear. I didn't have this problem in 17.0.


Edit: Not a bug. Distant terrain is generated at start up and is not then refreshed thereafter. So, if you make major modifications to the terrain, they will not be reflected in the distant terrain. -- OzHawkeye (temping for Holyjoe (or Hated)... hehe)(hopefully correctly)

Yes, sadly imposter POIs don't update when changes are being done to them.


We can hopefully adress this in a future update.

not seeing same thing on my rtx2080 and i purposely have 3 games running to compare. were you generating the RWG because that will bog down until done especially on larger than 8k maps.

Can Someone from TFP please address the online community on the bed bug. Players still sometimes respawn after death on other players bedrolls. Do you need help tracking it down? It seems to have all players spawn on one single players bed.

Bug Description: This has happened on 3 seperate servers in the past week. We have had several reports from players on our servers that chunks of their protected bases are resetting to day 1. (15x15 area) inside their LCB radius. I know this can sometimes happen if there is an error that causes that chunk to not save properly, and the server doesn't know what to do, so it renders the default area there. This really sucks, but players have been trying to cope with losing part of their base. Now, recently we've had entire bases vanish. In one case, the player was at his base, left to do a quest or something, came back and it was gone, reset to day 1. 2 hours later it was magically back, but the LCB was dead. We've had other bases totally vanish, but as of yet, have not returned. We have been digging in the logs and cannot find any errors that could be causing this. I have advised each of these victims to make a bug report, with whatever information they can manage, but I also wanted to make my own as well, even tho I have no supporting information to provide. To me, this is game breaking, and can easily cause a player to no longer want to play. Losing all that hard work and all their stuff for some sort of glitch.

transport is still somewhere nearby. You need to run exactly on the way back and you will enter 99% in transport. At the same time on the map I do not have the transport icon.

Bug Description: I've lost 3 bikes today. 1 minibikes and 2 motorcycles. It happens right after our host disconnects the server while we are interacting with the vehicle, even driving or just using the inventory. We can't fix the bike, we can't ride it, we can't open inventory, we have tried to dig the floor under the bike but it just stand still in the air. Only thing we can do is destroy the vehicle hitting i, but that solves nothing. I want the inventory they have saved.

Reproduce steps: Use a vehicle while your host closes the game.

Bug Description: When right clicking to stop zooming (aiming) the screen will show that I'm no longer zoomed (aiming) but the game treats it like I am still zoomed (aiming) when I move so stamina drops to zero very quickly. Can regain stamina by switching to another item and then back. Seems to happen most often when crouching for a sneak attack. Not sure if it's related but I'm using a compound bow or pistol when this happens.

Reproduce steps: Right click mouse to zoom (aim). Take a shot or two. Right click to stop zoom (aim) and the screen will show that you are not zoomed (aiming) any longer. Begin moving and stamina will drop to zero very quickly. To stop stamina loss or if at zero switch to another item on tool belt. Can then switch back to ranged weapon and move normally.

Thank you, we have an issue where a drawn bow continues to drain stamina. Will have to see if this is related or its very own issue, getting some eyes on this.

I didn't see anything in the change log about zombies that silently spawn behind the player.

Please create a ticket for this. A cheap solution is having these spawns emit a groan because it really sucks when you clear a room with one entrance, turn a corner to loot and get killed by a silent spawn that shouldn't exist.

 
Summary: Addition information on game freezing. Typical of Saving chunks. Either the MS noted by Save Chunks isn't accurate or something immediately after it is causing a freeze.

Update: Restarted comp, Updated video drivers, updated mouse drivers, verified files again … seems to have fixed the issue.

Bug Description: When swinging at the ground with a barbed club, I will gain the bleeding debuff after a few swings (less than 10). At first I thought it was only when swinging at the same block I was standing on, but this evening it happened when I was hitting the ground 2 blocks or so away.

Reproduce steps: 1) equip iron-reinforced club with barbed mod, 2) swing at ground near feet, 3) apply bandage before you bleed out

Actual result: Club hits ground, applies bleeding to player

Expected result: Club hits ground, player remains un-punctured

Playing co-op with my son on a new map, no mods. His map has an insane amount of trees EVERY WHERE inside buildings etc. My is normal. We are playing together on the same map. How do I delete his map so he can download it again or does anyone know of another way to fix this? BTW alpha 17.1 is amazing!

Bug Description:

Yesterday I was doing the bloodmoon with a friend of mine. We both have charicmatic nature, me level 1 and him level 2.

First of all the buff wasn't active all the time we stood nearby (within 15m range). Second, everytime when the buff icon appeared, I got the thirsty icon. Both lasting for around 5 seconds.

In the character screen I noticed the stats for fullness toggling between 138 and 148 everytime the buff icon (dis-)appeared.

Additionally none of us lost fullness during the whole bloodmoon phase.

Unfortunately I deleted the screenshots accidently holding the shift key.

Expected result: Guess what....

Thank you, this should be resolved, once Charismatic Nature gets fixed.


The icon probably pops up because when the buff is active and working the percentages change when the value remains the same.

I was able to play last night. This morning I turned on my computer, turned on steam, then clicked the game, and I got this. I've validated, and restarted steam and still get this.. wtf.

Edit: Validated again, and restarted steam again, and now it seems to be working.

I have had this happen. You should be able to close the "ghost" one in task manager.
I checked, there wasn't one to close. And there shouldn't of been anyway, since i had just tried to launch it for the first time.

However, when I have to force close it, (like when I switch servers, the game will hang forever at "waiting on server") so I have to force close. Then it wont let me boot the game up again (says another is running), until I restart steam.

looks like this was resolved.


Will look into the game already running.

I was lazily using it to clear some grass and thought I had stepped on a new A17.1 thorn bush or something. :-)

Summary: World seems to stop spawning zombies. POI volumes still work. Occasional wandering horde still works. But the random zombies and random animals just don't spawn anymore.

Additional Detail:

* Had the game running pretty much all day yesterday. Maybe restarted the game twice, non-error related.

* Traveled a lot in game on foot. Couldn't find a blasted water source. Ran all over the place.

* Looted a few POI's

* Walked away from the game a couple times and left on Pause. PC went into Screen Saver mode a few times.

* Had 1 death in a POI.

Nothing really crazy. But you can see some pretty long chunks of time in the log file where there's no zombies spawned or maybe 1 zombie spawned.

From time stamp "2019-01-25T20:00:28" to time stamp "2019-01-26T04:18:13" I was out knocking down trees, digging clay, building my base. With a few gaps in time where I paused the game (game paused/unpaused would be nice logging info). But I was out and about and nothing really spawned. Dunno. Seemed broken and empty.

Expectation: That... I run into zombies and animals while traveling the world.
