A New Chapter for The Fun Pimps and 7 Days to Die

Looking at it from a mostly pragmatic point of view.

The catalog that BI has access to completed assets that can be
incorporated into 7 days to die, pushing new limits.

The things posted regarding 7days Dev release time, "70 employees
changed to over 1370 employees. 1957% increase in hands on.
7Days has a small team, wearing many hats. The extra staff means
being able to specialize in a single goal or aspect. Faster production.
More acute focus.

Repeated requests for More guns, other weapons expansion, items,
vehicles. BI has access to a lot of already completed models, example.
The Casting of Frank Stone 2024 has the same engine used in DBD 2016.

Performance wall dealing with mostly single thread processing.
Now 7Days would have access to redesign using Multithread like DBD and
Meet Your Maker both using Unreal Engine 5+.

TFP hinted, spoke, wrote, about interest in a second game using Unreal Engine.
As a ground up starting, it may have been a bit harder to do. Now they have
access to a group vetted using the engine. A running whimsical title was 7DTD2.

7Days is based on full voxel world for destructibility, BI blight is static.
The merger of the two technologies can produce a Hybrid, where only sphere of
influence temporarily activates voxel terrain, like being controlled by LCB
perimeter. Console could benefit by smaller data files, for cloud saves. If the
world were converted to static.

Animations including mouth animations. BI has them more detailed.

It is like walking into Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
Politics: At least it's not Disney's Snow White remake, or TellTale games part deux.

BI has already built a profitable residual income model, that allows some leverage,
flexibility, and potential growth.

I first thought they were going to actively seek, or at least make the game attractive
for acquisition when V1 was released. Going by the history chart I made.

Pve enjoer, from 2013, we are here to. 20+ ppl as frends (not all on a server), playing. I just hope we can still build up our own fun, as per today. We dont miss the pvp, but sure, who loves it, plz do so.
Just a reminder, we are here to, may not post or very rearly, but still here (just to counterballanece the pvp counter XD).
We not need pvp, newer playd it, but respect those, who did, but we arent so loud.

Also, here are my predictions, not AI-like everyone else lol. Faatal will be promoted, and Roland will be fired. Why is Roland getting the can? He's always like a troll on these forums, and behavior is too corporate for him...
So how do you fire someone who doesn't work for your company?

My expectations: If the Hueninks are still head of the studio in a year or two then things with 7D2D will not change much. If they are "gone to new endeavours" that means the parent company has had other ideas apart from keeping a successful game running in and with the same direction

Apart from that I expect more DLCs. If the new owner adds developers to the game (and not only to the new games in development) then they also need to refinance that. I just hope they don't do content-DLCs before leaving EarlyAccess, that would not sit well with me.

I also don't expect the new owners will be changing 7D2D into DBD. Companies get bought to diversify the portfolio and get new customers, not to produce products that compete with the own IP. If for example Ford had ever bought Porsche, would they have forced Porsche to build Ford Pumas instead of Porsche 911? Obviously not. That doesn't mean that on some level things will change, but 7D2D will stay a co-op title for example and not a DBD clone.

the only thing that matters right now is we now have devs who support pvp ✅

I wonder if NetEase has taken part in this acquisition. It is one of the major financial backers of Behaviour Interactive and has deep pockets. 7 Days to Die is still quite popular here, and I think NetEase would show strong interest in it.😁

Why are you still calling Bandits 3.0?
You are the guy in charge of Bandit AI...why did it take sooooo long for Bandits to be a priority?
They were busy removing cool stuff nobody asked for removal (weapon/vehicle parts system, birch/maple trees, etc) and adding some cringe stuff nobody asked for adding (like magazines, magical candies/potions, etc)!
Our game hours does not matter because TFP themselves sit in the game 24/7 and understand better than us about what game needs

oh buddy...cue the defenders.
they'll give you real and made up excuses/reasons...but none for why the devs didn't communicate it out clearly themselves. (unless you count "they don't owe you anything" as a decent response)

I find myself wondering how much of this "we'll tell you in due time" crap has just been a holding pattern while they were working on the acquisition deal. Deals take a good amount of time to put together.

The movie Time Bandits has a pig & bandits to hold you over in the meantime.
