A New Chapter for The Fun Pimps and 7 Days to Die

Did he? They were in two different sentences. He said his priority is bandits and getting 3.0 out. He has already stated they are working on 3.0 and 4.0 concurrently.
gee...if only they had clarified what any of that means anymore. Instead we get these seemingly deliberate misunderstandings.

So according to your post they are working on Sandbox and Bandits concurrently? I thought the Sandbox did not have anything to do with Bandits...including not slowing down how long it was taking?

Either they changed the naming/numbering or they didn't.

Im very cautiously optimistic

The massive advantage of being private is having no shareholders to bend your knee too and work at your pace. However it's also a whip to get things working faster

Positives
  • Faster development and more devs
  • More money to do said project
  • More promoted of the game
Negatives
  • They could lose freedom of the game/change it's direction (as if it already have this issue) but more the pimps would just loose rights/control if the game over time
  • Microtransctions too the point we're the game gets lost in the sause. We are already getting stupid skins so who's to say. I highly doubt it will be the kind like "break your legs? Buy a spint for 50 cents"
Theories on why (no proof just head cannon)
  • Blood moons is what i would call a financial oopsie. We don't know how much it really was for another dev team to do it, and make new assests and other stuff for a game that realisticly shouldn't have had.

Negatives....
Any corporation buying up another corporation (I was in corporate in the 90s) is all about merging the acquisition into your existing corporate mindset - not just the corporate structure.

NO corporation ever buys an IP and doesn't touch it.
NO corporation ever acquires another without "improving" the acquisition.

Not to pick on you specifically for any avoidance, Adam, but rather that many are currently trying not to focus on the real negatives.
So... take the soul of Behavior Interactive and know that BI is going to force 7DTD to reflect that soul.
100% guaranteed. 100% Not 90%. 100%.

So what is their "soul?" I won't illuminate here. People concerned about the coming changes can discover BI's soul for themselves.

This is why I feel I have gotten my money's worth and won't play after the next update. BI is ITCHING to change 7DTD into their soul. I know corporate. I'm sure others in corporate who are here know it, too.

Your points are all valid, Adam. Just... not far enough.

Yes i know, Albert Einstein! Faatal is not working alone there
Word "you" can be used not only in singular but in plural meanings too, just in case u dont know
Then if pig was not a priority, why did u wasted time making new model for it?
But you don't make sense with your question.

The graphics guy(s) who works on modeling doesn't need to wait for the code part to be ready, so he will create as many models that are needed as long as there isn't something more urgent. Now, my guess is that the modeling work for 7D2D is almost complete, so THAT specific guy may have had time to work on something with very low priority such as The Pig.

So, there's you answer genius. ;)

Understandable and from what I see you would have more experience but I'm just hopping for the best. Who knows maybe the will make the game more horror base again! We shall see

But I had a weird feeling something was going down because the updates have been So so slow then they use to be

Cuz why not. Tbh I don't think it would be hard to just throw it in but then again I failed at making mods so...

Have you ever worked on a large team? If you have, you would probably experience people doing things that you don't know about or have time to look at or agree with or even care about.

Artists make art based on their own priorities or priorities given to them. If they are blocked by another artist, as they sometimes work in an assembly line like process, where one models something that then goes to another who skins it and another makes animations, they may switch to a lower priority task.

Often art is not just put in the game, but a technical designer and/or programmer has to setup data and code to make it work. A new animal model is a perfect example of that, as it has a prefab with colliders and physics components, animations and animation controller, xml data and then decisions on where to spawn them in the world and at what frequency, which is more xml data to change. World designers also need a spawn block made if they want to put it in POIs.

The result is that art can be made that takes a long time to get into the game if priorities for that art are low or never added if priorities change.

Don't bother, you are not talking negatively about the game so that gorilla doesn't understand what you're saying anyway

They were busy removing cool stuff nobody asked for removal (weapon/vehicle parts system, birch/maple trees, etc) and adding some cringe stuff nobody asked for adding (like magazines, magical candies/potions, etc)!
Our game hours does not matter because TFP themselves sit in the game 24/7 and understand better than us about what game needs
I utterly hate the term "nobody asked for it". That is stating that you know what every other player of the game wants, which no one knows, so it is a lie. At the bare minimum, someone on the team could have asked for it, and the public would certainly not know that.

Cringe stuff is completely subjective. I like the magazine system, but can agree that some things are more magical, like the massive tons of stuff you can carry around, but if that were realistic, the game would be less fun.

No one person understands everything. No group of people are going to agree on everything. It is a team effort and we do what we can.

Tbf there is a limit. Stuff like some of the skins can be a bit cringe but in terms of gameplay is suggestive

Candy kinda needs buffs gameplay otherwise their would have been no point to added them aside from just another food. Hell I wish we could find some out in the wild!

I HATE! learn by reading now again thanks prebuild but I'm keeping my eye on the light LBD system. And the combine system with extra levels for stuff sounds very promising. But I'm sticking to my sharp stick about hybrid LBD/LBR

I saw this and I'm not surprised.

Maybe BI can help them out

^^ There's some info, @HammerDano though I know you'll just keep ■■■■■ing about something else. But maybe you could slide the stick at least a few inches out of your ■■■? You're being even more insufferable than normal. I'm worried about you. You okay? 😘

good grief...
you sure you want the smoke?
you have not even answered anything I asked from your last ■■■■ post.

not like you are actually going to respond but, what the hell.

1) 2.5 was launched over 2 months ago...have they released any fixes for how much more poorly it now plays on console since then?
2) why do you find it "■■■■■■■" that "we" would like to play the mid to late game too?
3) I do find it mildly insulting that they are not doing the AMA on here...why is this AMA being done on Reddit? why are the brothers not taking any questions ON THEIR OWN SITE?
I did follow the AMA...it was not informative...but, what can anyone really expect? these guys sold the company and are pretending they "joined" interactive...that they still have control over the game. if ■■■■ing me around is what you need to do to cope with this...have at it. I don't take you seriously.

Yes. As I said a while ago, vaguely for reasons you can imagine, we are changing version numbers. I recall saying 2.7 is now 3.0, so 3.0 is now 4.0. Some smaller releases between bigger releases, but they should be more often. Bandits being a bigger release.
