V2.3 Stable

And I'd also ask... after you reach 2.9 are you then forced to work on 3.0 next, or are you going to use second digits like 3.91, 3.92 and such... ?
Your comment reminded me of the book "Just for Fun", the part where Linus Torvalds explains why the kernel is numbered so strangely.

I don't know that. Can you quote that part? Is it funny?
I can't quote it, but in short it goes something like this.
When he released the first kernel, he gave it version 0.9, thinking he'd just have to tweak a few things and everything would work. Then he says, "How wrong I was." He discovered that things worked differently on different hardware. And in the end, he spent almost a year rewriting it to get it working properly.

my friend...I have several problems with how this game has been managed. What you saw was not a reference to LGBT it was to colours and dyes returning to the game. someone else made a joke that should maybe have been taken down? idk
There really isn't any politics involved. thankfully
I suggest you slow down, concentrate on what you want to say and remove as much profanity and insults out of it as possible before posting...not that you used any profanity, just in general.
trust me, letting your anger get the best of you is a fast way to be given a short recess.
I love the game. Happy I am not you. Maybe play a different game?

If we banished anybody who had something critical to say about something, creators would work blindly, innovation would slow, and the subject would become pretentious. Telling people to leave because they take the time to give feedback, positive or negative, about something they are passionate about is wrong. I love the game too, but I see the shortcomings of the game's potential which is why I have taken to these forums.

We can say what we want as long as we aren't offensive, but you're also trying to escalate the conversation.

Calling pretty much anything Hammer posts feedback is being very generous. Feedback should have some useful, constructive parts to it. Hurling the same BS over and over about roadmaps and lack of communication is not feedback. Especially when you consider anytime someone counterpoints him he just ignores it and moves to something else.

wtf? I guess you didn't read the post I was answering? attack me for some other post...there are others that would surely suit your reply better. I'd suggest maybe the 2.0 thread? just a thought.

First off an apology to @HammerDano, by mistake I quoted him when I intended to quote someone else.

Then on to your point: I have never asked for anyone being banished or not posting here. My point was that the solution to not wanting to play a game because they don't like it, is simply to play another game or do something else. If someone really feels that "there's no more enjoyment in playing, everything is boring and bland", then just don't play :) It's just a computer game, there are literally thousands more. I have no problem with constructive criticism.

I just realized I made a mistake and quoted you when I should have quoted someone else, my apologies.

no worries. thank you.

I'm going to explain why I haven't played 7 Days to Die at all since 2.0, and less and less since Alpha 17)
1 The RGW map has become flat, much too low, in snow or both forests, it's a regression compared to the map before Alpha 16.
No map suits me, I've tried everything.
2) I can't bury myself deep because of the heat sources, even under a mountain, and have peace because of the collector.
I have to put the collector, kitchen, and foundry areas far away and separate so as not to be bothered, tired of going back and forth.
I'm missing a WELL-MADE smoke system like in Valheim.
3) I can't build without the criers, despite a small base and few collectors. (Criers in big cities are fine for me, but at my base right at the start of the game, it's far too often, especially in the forest biome.)Your ā– ā– ā– ā–  heat source is the least powerful in the starting biomes.
Balance it and vary your game.
4) Zombies have become intelligent; they can go through holes that even we can't. Your bandits will be as intelligent as the zombies, where's the logic?
Making a zombie disguised as a bandit?
5) you only changed the visuals but the zombies remain simple colored HP bags, fortunately the different races and rage mode are good, feral sense should be dedicated only to certain zombies, we take weird hits from your weird alpha and the sound is not includedyou removed the climbing zombie, it was great but poorly done, it could have hidden on the ceiling or climbed the bases.
6) I have nothing against the yeti zombie but it should be a rare z same for the mummies, off topic compared to classic zombies in your games.
7) They're missing zombie varieties like animal zombies.
And I'm hoping for a bandit-thief-looter, not just ranged melee like the Z, and even classic inhabitants getting eaten by the Z and turning into zombies.
That's a real zombie game.Intelligent bandits and stupid zombies for the vast majority, but diversify, and why is the demolisher only found in hordes 7, etc.?
Flame thrower weapon, flame defense, where is it?
8) Weapons at 600 in 4 to upgrade, I really regret that. Upgrade your weapons before the hordes or the nights, preparing the night for the next day is great, but what a joy, but it's been taken away from me again.
9) Learning by doing, because there were too many books to read, it finally made me stop, make another storage space just for books, too many books, tired of reading.
10) The collectors, they emit heat due to your incompetence to find a solution to improve the jars.
Yet there are refrigerators, electricity, missing a shelf life date, logical, but no, we have collectors.A boat, a real and good map, POIs that are not just a pre-defined path.
11) The dark nights, we can fix them but there is no system to restore light in the city, at night, it is day.Since you've been playing the game for so long, we would like to see real improvements to the good gameplay, improved sound, cool mechanics, logic and immersive.
Storms don't bother me, but a storm, you don't have shoes, it's not cold, you're immune with a simple badge or other change, it's a shame.
In the summer I wear shorts, in the winter a sweater,
Humidity? Sunstroke, flu, etc.. that's real gameplay, storms just to lock you in buildings again, ok perfect, I escaped, I don't play anymore, I don't recommend the game anymore.
12) I'm forced to do lousy missions, if I want a good arcade RPG I'll take GTA 5 or 6, no need for a pale copy.
13) The skill tree seems good but everyone plays the same.
The stealth is broken in the points.
We can only specialize in strength at the beginning to have a decent base, which is also why I want the return of skills through learning. No variety of zombies, yet you could easily do it in races, etc.
The bandits will be as intelligent as classic zombies. It's hard to understand that classic zombies break concrete walls and choose the shortest path. Is that a bandit with a drill?14-12 YEARS FOR THIS RESULT? The devs take us for fools, thinking we'll be satisfied with the multiple crap they throw at us.
All this time, I've understood that you're incapable of it,good for sticking band-aids on band-aids for a bogus mechanic that I hate for a survival game transformed into an arcade RPG.If it's to add this or that, to say, "We'll put it in and it doesn't add anything," we might as well close this game and move on.The basic sandbox has been corrupted and betrayed.
OULALA STEAM CHARTS, you fell despite your catch-up updates which are only bandages.〽〽〽〽〽〽〽
Bye, losers.🤔🤔🤔

You can paint blocks, so there's already colored concrete and different woods available. I wouldn't mind seeing more paint swatches, but I'd rather have a bunch of other things first.
This won't be a particularly console-friendly comment, but I'd really prefer TFP left the paint alone. Right now on PC we can mod in additional paints via OCB and pyro paints, which adds a bunch of non-apocalypse textures. Our newly constructed bases can look pristine. TFP does a great job with textures, but if they add a bunch more I'm betting they'll all be run down textures... and as I understand it even through mods there is a hard limit to the number of textures the game can support. So we could very well lose pyro paints (or its future equivalent) in the process.

I mean with the difference patters of concrete or wood planks. I'll post what I mean soon

I disagree because I think they could use more colors for buildings. Like places down town just look the same with some exceptions

As someone who uses Pyro Paints, I still disagree with this. More paints in vanilla are a good thing. They removed a LOT of them, so there is plenty of room to add more. More paints in vanilla mean the POI can have more variety and not use the same few paint schemes over and over again. Different paints aren't just for bases. They are important for POI as well. Using a mod doesn't help with POI unless they are custom POI that were made using that mod. I do agree that if TFP adds more paints, they should include some that aren't old. Those might be appropriate for most POI, but people like nice looking bases, so they should also include some that are nice.

As far as a limit, yes, there is one. But considering how many were removed and that Pyro Paints worked fine when those were all there before, there's no reason they can't add more back to the game.
