Xbox X -- "continue game" is greyed out and cannot be clicked on to load and play.

Couldn't agree more let's stay on topic, when will the developers issue a statement/update on when we can play the game that we have paid them our very own money with?

 
This problem is getting ridiculous! I've just had it happen again which makes it the third time in 3 weeks! It's pretty much making the game unplayable right now as it seems guaranteed you will lose all progress.

 
I just had the same thing happened to me. I have 400 days put in and I got on yesterday and it was great out. I’ve been trying everything I can to get back into the game I had with no luck.  It is located in the saved, but without a way to load. I switched to my son’s name and his game is saved still. This is really a problem because I’ve invested a lot of time and just playing this game.  Because if I can, I get my saved game back I probably won’t play anymore.  Somebody needs to give us some answers.  

 
it's Monday...everyone should be back to work...so where is the support for these console threads? because there is more than one thread going unanswered.

Today is a catholic holiday in some parts of the world.
But yeah, I hope the problem will be adressed soon inspite of the impressions my previous reactions seems to give.

That's a reflection of the frustration many console users have...any calls for moderation are seen as simping for TFP. From my point of view they have a point...TFP are dog @%$# at communicating...especially to the console base. So any calls to give TFP any kind of break... @%$#es those people off. I believe they have the right to feel that way.

 
Here's some food for thought....... Everyone on this thread that sticks up for TFP's says they have a limited staff to address issues...  Well its a big freak'n kick in the nuts to hear that the chickens, vultures and rabbits got a huge improvement when they knew there were issues on console that needed to addressed.   Did anyone honestly complain that the chickens, vultures and rabbits were horrible before the update?  Did they need to improve them??

Oh yeah, because those totally weren't being worked on welllll before this issue even existed. Nope, they waited till you guys got in here and decided to work on new animals rather than look into this issue. You can say I stick up for TFP all you want, at the end of the day I just can't stand how much ignorance there is here. Yes, they need to fix your issue. But also, you guys need to use your brains. These types of posts are exactly why console users get so much hate. This thread is literally the "Are we there yet?" meme in text form. Posting every five minutes saying the same thing isn't doing any good. You've seen a QA member in here, so obviously they are aware of the issue. Why do you need an update from TFP that there is no update? Obviously when they have something they will make it known.

And yes, people have been asking for updated animals ever since the zombies started being updated. Simple search will give you the answer to that question.

 
Well I also have the continue game greyed out and then when I go to new game it does nothing so I can't if play the game at all. I've tried hard resetting multiple times and I Uninstalled the game multiple times and reinstall and still can't even boot up a new game. Then I try joining a game and it'll load but then it'll say initializing world and not do anything else. So I paid for a game twice now and can't even play it.

Imagine this: 

There is a problem tomorrow that crashes the PC version and the only replies you get back are silence or people who work for the game saying that sucks...we don't know what it is yet...we will maybe fix it in Feb or March.  How well are you taking it?

Not everyone lives on this web site bud. I am starting to though...I can see me being here constantly BECAUSE TFP refuse to keep us informed.

sorry to hear that...I am trying to get answers or an update, but, it is an uphill battle.

Lol. So no one said that, you're just making stuff up. And you mean the post Riamus made in the Dev Diary? You're gonna take someone that has nothing to do with TFP and go with their word just because it gives you something to complain about more? Riamus isn't TFP, so no offense to him, he has no idea what the timeline will be. And I can promise you a fix will come for this issue before the 2.0 update. They've already done at least one console hotfix for the storage crates that then got rolled into the next PC patch.

 
Just came on here to throw my 2 cents in without being super aggressive but this same thing has officially happened to me, except I have a random search bar covering the 7 in the main menu logo alongside the greyed out continue game, I wasn’t overly mad but now I can’t even do a new game because it just freezes up. Quite literally broke the game

You have made clear us console players have NO brain.. If we did we would play on PC only. Thank you for taking the time to go to a forum for a game you dont play to defend a versi9n you are too smart to play

Will they? I remember in 2016 when half my base vanished and I did not learn until telltale went bankrupt the next year that I would never get a fix, but as a PC elite you never felt that

You have a game with half the issues why do you come here and flame us about a game you dont play About issues PC players don't have.

I played again today with no major bugs but every time I turn it on I know it's possible save could break...
