V3.0 has new poi?
There are going to be servers that use many different combinations of settings and/or mods. It comes down to finding one that is closest to what you want. That can take a lot of time, depending what you're looking for. It's one of the issues when you want to use a server instead of P2P or running your own server. That's not likely to ever change, though.I think what's being missed is that I view all of this through the lens of multiplayer. You can adjust settings all day long and be happy if you play solo or in a small (tiny) group, but multiplayer servers with any kind of population inevitably run it heavily modded and make it even worse with the silliness (teleports, increased loot, pay to win). I mean, show me a multiplayer server (at least 25 slots) that runs a server with all the rpg elements turned off. This might happen with the sandbox update, and we'll see. But @4sheetzngeegles had it right when he said I was looking for the free roaming, early bleak survival feel the game once had. He seems to be one of the few who understand what I'm saying. Most others seem to be in the "omgz don't say nutn bad 'bout mah game!" mode.
It’s more of a problem with the books, not the progression itself. I remember a few years ago I found a shotgun and a pistol in the first trash I came across, and I immediately lost the desire to keep playing.RPG and progression crap that has ruined the open world roaming survival vibe
Taza's axe in the lone cemetery, had it's own sound byte. What I really miss are some unique items, like that axe that was basically a stone axe but had a different name
