V2.5+ Survival Revival Dev Diary

So when you say the company is working on 3.0 and 4.0...it sounds great, but, "we" don't know how things have been subdivided further, or if you are referring to the original numbering...can you speak on this? or are "we" waiting for the updated road map to explain it?

About that Faatal-quote: I would assume it means there will be less minor versions. So for example there would be only 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2, not up to 3.6 like currently

The only consequence I can see would be that console players would be less often out of sync with PC servers.

Fewer minor versions means longer times between updates (that's both good and bad) so that you can get more into those fewer minor updates instead of having a larger number of more quickly released minor updates. It also means that there are fewer times when mods need to be updated and fewer times when players may want to start a new game for the new update (even if it isn't required) so that they can see all of the new things.

you may be right, it's not how it read to me, but, that's why I was asking for clarification.

An endgame with story is still planned. It will be post bandits. We are actually doing parallel development on 3.0 and 4.0, with some devs focusing on one or the other, or in my case, doing both. We have some interesting features planned.

We have talked about other ways of getting quests besides traders, so I expect it will become more flexible and varied in future versions.
Like the old notes that got removed? I kinda liked those.

No. It's not every time, but I still sometimes use 2 bandages when using them from the hotbar. Granted, it's possible my mouse is accidentally double-clicking, but even that shouldn't use 2 bandages.
Nope, it's not just you. I tried using a cast on a friend (I have three points in Physician) and it used up two casts AND didn't heal my friend's broken limb.

Asides from bugs fixes, lets see... Even more bug fixes!
Yes! music to our ears.
Its in the best interest of the game if TFP solely focus on fixn all the bugs they can for the next month and not add any new content.
Everyone knows 3.0 is still aways off, fixn nothing but bugs untill than is the way to go and if someone really needs a chicken coup they can mod it in.
btw man after you moved to 8th i had to log in, your catching up fast!
