Hello Survivors!
V2.1 is going stable today.
Along with all the additions, changes and fixes we also heavily reduced the settings and values important to crossplay servers.
This update also fixes the issue that would corrupt save games.

Fixed
  • Accidentally removed "xpath" conditional function support

Here's what changed with V2.1:

Added
  • Storm affected zombies have increased hearing
  • Changing the 24 Hour Cycle setting will recalculate weather
  • Log serverconfig settings not compatible with consoles when ServerAllowCrossplay is set to true
  • Wedge60 Tip 1/2 Ramp Tip 1/2 Corner Left and Right to the shape menu
  • Wedge60 Tip 1/2 Ramp Tip 1/2 Corner Incline Left and Right to the shape menu
  • Missing localization for several POIs
  • Curtains and Drapes Variant Helper and recipe

  • Permadeath is again dropping player backpack.

This is great stuff! Any chance we could get a way to turn off loot progression but keep the storms and hazards? Also any chance of temperatures and being wet coming back?

Bonsoir, je suis actuellement sur Xbox série X et je ne vois toujours pas la mise à jour. C'est normal? Je peux pas rejoindre mes amis sur PC du coup. Merci

Since the update i have been unable to join my server my game says client failed to authorize server. As the header an below remote data validation failed. Modified files detected. What's going on with this is it a new bug

My console (so far only PS5) players are saying they can't join---they are getting this error after I updated to 2.1

Before I went into serverconfig to change the file, I logged in with my PC with no issues whatsoever.


Anyway, after I successfully logged in via PC, I logged off, and went to serverconfig.xml to change from "0" to "24", saved the file, as you can see below.

Uploaded the config file its appropriate bluefang folder, and now bluefang doesn't want to start up.

Submitted a ticket to bluefang in the hopes of hearing back with good news. Anyone else have this issue?

Also, I just started this crossplay server yesterday after getting the dreaded "EndofStreamException" error that corrupted my save. In order to do that I had to visit the crossplay requirements website which had a very long and detailed list that I very much appreciated---and now that list is replaced by a much shorter list----a shame we aren't allowed to disable airdrops now. I can't help this feeling that the airdrops change is behind all of this chaos after 2.1

My world still gets stuck in initialization so the update did not do anything for my problem, I still can't play the game
The sleeper corruption bug did just that, corrupt the data, so the fixed code cannot restore the correct data as it was lost.
What the bug fix does is stop it from corrupting again in the future.

You can get the world to load again by going to:
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Saves\<world name>\<game name>
In that folder delete main.ttw.

The problem with deleting main.ttw is, it may cause some issues with crafting timers and zombies not spawning in buildings.
