That’s good to knowNot in this one but they talked about maybe in the future
I noticed that happening in one of the 1.x versions, too. I think it's just that you usually don't get treasure under a road so it's easy to not have that happen to you.Watching the beginning of Waywardeko's stream, something interesting happened.
When he went to do the first treasure, it was in the middle of the road, He started the
quest and the dig perimeter turned to dirt. It surprised him, but I have had it happen to
me. Was that updated in 1.0 1.2 or 1.4 ? either way, it's a nice easter egg for people that
have not had it happen yet.
Tell that to my Trader Rekt in 1.4 who has given me buried supplies jobs under the same road 5 times in a row.I noticed that happening in one of the 1.x versions, too. I think it's just that you usually don't get treasure under a road so it's easy to not have that happen to you.
Yeah, I had this happen in either 1.3 or 1.4. It was a surprise. In the past, if it was under the road, you had to either dig through asphalt (difficult with a stone shovel!) or dig in from the side. It's nice to have it change the road so you don't have that problem, though it would probably have been better to just avoid placing it under asphalt roads to begin with.Watching the beginning of Waywardeko's stream, something interesting happened.

Will we still be able to play on our 1.4 saves still?
When I started my game on Xbox, the news article on the start screen said 1.4 saves won't work. Does that mean they won't work with the new features, or they just won't run at all?
If 1.4 saves won't load at all:
* It will mean the large scale base my friend and I have been creating for the past 4 months while waiting for this incredibly delayed update will be for nothing. We'll not just be extremely disappointed, but also angry - honestly. We have worked on it with hopes of using it for this update and sharing it with our other friends at the time of the update. If our efforts and creativity are to just be erased, that's grossly inconsiderate.
* It means the version number on the save files has no purpose. It otherwise suggests each save from different game versions are still playable.
* It means there was no effort given to include backward compatibility. It is not only expected, but also not a difficult programming endeavor. Delay it another month or six if needed.
If 1.4 saves won't work with the new features but can still be played:
* I'll just be disappointed.
I'm not sure if this has already been covered, but even if it has I think it's important to voice my opinion. Can you let me know?
Either way, looks like disappointment is brewing.
P.S. The 50% damage buffs/defense perks in the update seem ill-thought.
It's been like this for God knows how longBummer. Was looking forward to something productive from theFunPimps.
Delete everybody's hard work why don't you? So rude.
I just lost all respect for this update.
EDIT: So this also means every player will be required to download this mandatory update before playing online, which will also void all previous saves, thus FORCING DELETION of the saves of all your happy customers. Was this thought through?
Yeah that is an issue too, but if cops didn't spit when they can't see you, the splash damage issue would only be a minor problem. Fixing the 'see through blocks' issue means spit damage going through blocks doesn't really matter so much, as spit hitting a block you're on the other side of will hardly ever happen.I'm not talking about see through, I'm talking about literal cop spit going through blocks (without destroying them) and hitting the player behind pillars and walls.
The code is supposed to avoid it, but when rare case bug happens and you don't know why, it is good to have fall backs.Yeah, I had this happen in either 1.3 or 1.4. It was a surprise. I have things I would like to change and others probably do too, but I don't think any of those are required to release. The only relevant commits made so far are POI edits and pregen map adjustments.Hello @faatal
Do you know already if there's many things to fix on Monday before the release of 2.0 Experimental?
Not quite the same thing, but I did see GNS testing two different blocks for storm structures. He tried building a structure from Bars and this protected him from storm damage, whereas using railings did not. Bars, of course act like a solid block when you try to pick things up through them, which is the theory why they worked.I wonder if the same blocks that allow the cop to see the player through them would also allow the damaging effects of storms in. It might be a good idea starting on Monday for people to stand near these blocks during a storm and see if they are still safe or if they take damage. If they don't stop the damage much like they don't block the view of zombies it might help the devs nail down what is happening.
Anything that blocks the sets of raycasts will work. Some blocks, like certain fences, unfortunately have a solid collider so give safety even though they don't look solid. I am not too keen on fixing those as they would cost more performance checking block types and they do not harm the player. Not quite the same thing, but I did see GNS testing two different blocks for storm structures. Hordes are a set number, so no reason to add screamers to them. I wouldn't mind zombie bears being in hordes. Crawlers just don't move quickly enough to keep up with their bipedal buddies. After playing my day 41 horde base were My gamestage Is like 110 I can't wait to see plauge spitters and frostclaws
My horde base style is like the old days aka Compound style and how cops spit at me at random. I can't CANT wait too see bolders being thrown and weakens my bases or walkways and the spitter is going to be a great harassment enemie like the vulture
Mutated Zombies Will be nice to see but hopefully if faatal said as my Interpretation that hopefully he will have a new abilitie in the future (might be looking to far into it tho)
And seeing the extra faces on horde night is going to be nice.
I still do wish we got screamers, bears, grace and hell even crawlers like in alpha 15 but just moving really fast but that's not gonna happen unfortunately.
I mean just seeing screamers as just another zombie would be cool too see. Kinda like how the one in construction garage doesn't scream. She's just there. That or in case the horde dies down. She comes to start them up again.Hordes are a set number, so no reason to add screamers to them. I wouldn't mind zombie bears being in hordes.
