I should have stated  this...part of my question about 1.3 is...I don't understand what makes it 1.3? there were no patch notes and not much said about the content in the media release. It kinda seemed like a nothing burger,,,good for PS5 players in Japan...happy for them...but, didn't seem like there was a bunch of new content that would need bug fixing and patching like a "normal drop".

This is where things get confusing.  1.3 Japan release I believe is kinda like 1.2 with Japanese translation. Because of some restrictions on releases there.

Then we have the 1.3 experimental for PC that just dropped a couple of days ago, which has a few minor fixes and changes. Maybe it's the same as the 1.3 that dropped to Japan.  Kinda weird for them to get it before it gets tested anywhere else.

So in a couple/few weeks that experimental will be pushed to Stable after maybe getting some more minor fixes, and then that 1.3 will go to Stable on all the platforms.

It is really just muddying the water because TFP isn't sticking to any kind of standards anymore for release numbers.

That is my understanding as well.  1.3 is mainly bringing the console version to meet Japan standards.  Most of the changes have little to do with PC play (other than hopefully a fix to Grover High), so it just sets a new baseline for all platforms so that they can move to 2.0 from the same point.  1.3 PC may not stay in experimental very long since there are so few PC changes.  It also may not compromise the 2.0 timing, still can happen in Q1 2025.  Not promising it will, but it still can.

I'm not saying it would push it back, but if 2.0 were going to be ready to drop in March, we would be seeing it entering experimental now, or in the next few weeks.

It doesn't make any sense to push 1.3, and then immediately follow with 2.0. Could have just held out a couple of weeks and started 2.0 experimental.

Maybe but 1.3 is pretty minor. It could leave experimental by the end of the week and then 2.0 experimental could release by the end of February. 1.0 experimental released June 24th and went stable July 25th.  So it is still very possible that 2.0 experimental could release end of February and go stable end of March.

But...expecting April or May will definitely reduce disappointment....

It is still a new quest type, regardless if it is similar or not to others.  Regardless, I am pretty sure they stated that the new quest types would be more unique, but we will see.

That was my point - they claimed it would be a new quest type that was NOT like existing quest types, and surprise! They lied.

This is the problem, I have another world and character go corrupt over the weekend and this is intensely frustrating.

This should not happen after 1.0 but here we are can we please get an automated backup option for our world's and save profiles.

I get a the Storms Brewing update is delayed but you have been working on bandit AI for 4 years now, I have literally had a child with my wife bought a home and my child is now 3 in less time for bandits to come out.

Sorry but the WID is a bit tedious at this point.

This game runs all its process s and calculations off one core, it simply can not handle adding bandits- untill the code starts to use multithread processing than that might change.

Also. i definately feel your pain about "4 years now"... pvp players have been waiting for basic fixs to be done for "10 years" and thats without any new features put in.

Armchair experts are a bit tedious as well...
Wow, what a witty comment.

What I would like is game that does not corrupt my saves every other day and this has been going on for years now.

It's not a new issue and I have been playing since Alpha 0.5, all we would like is our saves not to be corrupted, the kick starter goals to be met which are still not done and for the TFP to try and keep to a reasonable delivery time frame but they are notorious for missing dates by months and years.

I can't communicate very well how much passion I have for the game, I play it daily. I struggle with my autismm and I try not to be super direct.

You cant read very well either as the armchair comment is obviously directed to Grandpa Minion.

I havent seen you trying to "teach" the devs how to organize the game's architecture. So dont worry. That is not about you.

What is probably not possible for TFP is to change development speed. So either they could have a reasonable delivery time by dropping a lot of what is planned right now. Or follow their plan. Or follow their plan and add another features with the backup saves and finish even later than currently the case. What option would you prefer?

By the way, with your save game issue: If you don't have a weak PC or some hardware defect or playing a really really long game this should not be regularily happen. I haven't had a save game get corrupted outside of experimental for years.

No matter the reason, you can do backups yourself and save yourself a lot of grief if this happens to you a lot.

I am no expert but i have many different versions of 7 days across many folders, including many different mods across many of those, and not a single time have i ever had a corrupted save. not saying it can't happen, but all i do is copy things around then make sure each serverconfig.xml points to the correct save folder, and i have a separate windows shortcut to each and every one. Job done (so far)

Save folders currently ~

I think that constantly crouching while shooting for the "sneak attack" bonus time should be reduced for that bonus.

What we really need is for you to put in an order for them with that screenshot of 25,000 hours. I'm betting that's all the devs have been waiting for.
Maybe if he was around before the game was started he could have suggested a game engine to the creators.

I most certainly considered it however, i was informed yesterday that they are working to fix one of the major pvp exploits we been asking for. Before i make any request for 1.3 stable i am waiting to see if it gets done. God bless them for sure i can not stress how important its is that fix gets done.

I am Sorry, but, what I'd really like is the forth option not offered: I would like for them to continue to move forward on the content already announced and anticipated, get that out on time or close to it, and THEN add new content. I just want them to stop moving the goalposts. I have said this before, "giving" me things I didn't ask for is not a substitute for the content that was promised. I know that content is still going to take time, at least as long as the roadmap, probably a little longer...so relax...I am not making demands to finish the whole thing right now. Just asking that they stop delaying progress thru their own actions.
