Arrows

I seem to be having trouble with arrows, they just pass right through the zombies, I am playing single payer in navzane, all other ammo seems to work.

Hmmmm... The arrows aren't hitting anything? If you aim at a wall and shoot it does the arrow hit it?

Might just be the hit boxes on the Z's, sometimes mine look like they go through their heads. Try aiming at their mouths and not at the top of the heads.

not sure if they don't hit anything was only aiming at the zombies, head and body shots and it only passes through, but only with arrows, all other weapons work fine.

Its always been that way in true survival, using a bow is an art form in spiders mod:smug:

 
I'll be switching my server over this weekend sometime. ( Currently on VALmod ) It is called World of Pain,

27.50.82.162:25500 hosted in Australia. I'll have a 250 ping kick on it eventually so that means players from West US should be ok but Europe not so much. This wont be a pure JZ server as i will make some changes to magazine sizes and headshot effectiveness as well as melee weapon range to name a few adjustments I like to make server side. I also have the latest Compo pack installed so there should be a full range of buildings to enjoy. I'll post again when its up and running JZ. If you connect now its still on VALmod....

The Combo Pack is already included. Just curious, what type of changes to the headshot, mag size and melee range? If they are good changes I might include include them in the mod.

 
Minibike, you removed it. Let's discuss? What are your reasons, Spider? I hope I can talk you into bringing it back. It's a big thing, it enriches the game, it's a game changer. All the things you wanna add with SDX will not compensate the minibike loss. If you think it's OP, you can gate it behind some late game stuff. Make the player work for it. As for now, I'm heartbroken :(

Yea, i have to agree on this one spider. Even though theyre buggy pieces of @#$%, they still add an extra dimension to the game.

 
They crash servers, break save games, kill players for no reason, disappear without warning and lose inventory constantly. I was asked by many players and server owners to remove them because of those reasons and i agree. With the speed buff you get from roads and the fact that mini bike inventory can not be trusted I really see no point in them they just cause problems and take up admins time because of players complaining about them and asking to be refunded items lost. If TFP ever get around to making that feature actually work I would be happy to add it back in but as it is right now its more trouble than its worth.

Or, you could enable them with a warning to use them on your own risk. So if it kills you, it dissapears or loses the items in the inventory, you don't complain to the admin. Maybe give the admin the choice if enable or disable the minibike on the server. Win-win.

True that. Me and my mates just started with this amazing mod but no minibike? :(

Is it also possible to run this mod with Bad Company mod, for example?

it sure as hell is way harder to survive the first couple of days. We are running for our lives 50% of the time haha :acne:

Indeed, fair enough. Hopefully TFP make it easier in A16 :)

 
And that awesome feature of assembling your engine with different parts, like a gun? What's it for now? For cement mixer?

Added instructions on how to craft anti-venom to venom buff description

Lowered zombie head shot bonus on melee

Fixed errors in Engineers quest chain

Fixed all foods to use the healing food buff instead of instant health when eaten.

Improved drinks description to explain how to dump drink on your head

Lowered Rockets drop rate in loot

Fixed Brain Matter and Fat description to say they smell

Tweaked Wound Systems stats

Changed the Wound and the Bite Systems so that the sanitizing bandage does all, the healing bandage does small wound/wound/bite and the normal bandage does small wound/bite. Also Both First Aid Kits do all wounds.

I'm playing the outdated version, but reporting anyway:

- seed nursery recipe wants 'fertile dirt' (absent in A15), should be 'dirt fragments'.

- some farmable plants return 1 fruit (and 1 seed), on unfertilized ground, making it impossible to multiply them.

- candles (taken from prefabs) keep burning, were not they supposed to melt down after 30 sec?

- I don't get dogs on Fridays, maybe intended.

I increase magazine sizes on most guns - shotties to 16, hunting rifle to 3, sniper to 25 !!, ak and mp to 50. I havent done it yet - i broke something so installed vanilla JZ and am working my way through my changes. I tend to increase the headshot bonuses on most weopons but especially melee and i also increase range on melee weapons usually closer to 3 than 2 which it usually is. I also up the odds on dismemberment especially for knives and axes although i have noticed your mod has a better gradation for base axe damage than say VAlmod which doesnt have enough difference between iron and steel axes in my view. I add some buffs for example for the blunderbuss I add stunned. This makes it really fun to play with lots of lopping of zombie heads and i have zombies set to hard with alot of them. ( I'm having to tweak this already though for JZ ) I also like to reduce range of dogs and bears and hornets which are usually set to silly values so that they no longer bite you from 50 feet away ! I also increase various stack sizes and the number of feathers you find in nests. I will eventually change some food items to dehydrate less or hydrate more. I'm likely to put bikes back in at some point if it isn't too hard. I like to change some armour and clothing - like increase radiation and fire protection on hazmat items or increase pierce protection on iron armour for example. Anyway i did most of that in Valmod and have made a start in JZ on my server.

 
Some issues i have noticed so far:

on Exit we get a null error and console opening and have to use task manager to exit 7dtd

cant seem to gather the A15 yucca plants or corn stalks - if you hit them nothing goes in your inventory. Cant USE them either.

Yea, the null error is known. The plants should work fine, they do on my server. Have you altered or added any files?

 
@ Jolly-

I see. Cool changes but kinda go against the grain of the mod so I cant add them to it. The error on log out is from the UI Mod SMX its a known issue and doesn't hurt anything. To close the game go to windows and force it closed.

Candles only melt when placed as a block. They do not melt in your hand(kinda like M&M's)

Do we want any of the new zombies players are making if so post a name and link to the Z you want added?
