Still some load errors to work out in Starvation. You have time to get some work done on TS while they fix it..........

Yup its made of steel and contains the best loot. You need Steel Tools to break into it. After you do it will become immune for a while and then reset to a new locked crate

There was no press E to interact with it, is that normal?

Yes, it is completely normal.

You need to break it with steel tools to unlock - iron won't do the work.

 
I am missing porkbelly, hoof, vension, animal guts and field knife (but it works in the skills menu) icons.

edit: but well, it doesn't bother me that much.

hehe its been out for a week or so. I only have couple wrapper errors but they dont make difference. otherwise It is working fine now :-)

P.S wrote this before had mod running right after new patch lol So edited after rerunning launcher patching. All works well now except those couple wrappers lol

Well, just to make it clear... There's no errors in Icons or loading in Starvation atm, nor has there been for quite some time now ;) Have fun.

 
And spider still have blizzard? We got around 6-8 inches here... got lucky internet didnt go down "satalite internet". But got to play with starvation and true survival a little now :-) Now to just start getting UI added to this and starvation and will be a good day lol...... IF i can get it done lol

Also to add for mort... Yup starvation working well now. missing icons was my mistake lol they were not ingame items your supposed to get why wasnt haveing icon my bad lol

 
Anyone else having a hard time hunting food? I've noticed 2 problems. First is that I'll hit the target with an arrow it starts off running and then it just vanishes before my eyes. The other problem is that deer and pig either have 2 many hit points or are just plain immortal. I came across a really stupid pig that was stick in the corner of a fenced in area. I started stabbing the hell out of it with an iron spear, went from 100% to almost broken. Pig never died and as I was repairing the spear he vanished.

 
Headshot mod, if done how I did mine, means headshots to animals too. Good luck. :)

So this is interesting. I decided to take a look at the entityclasses.xml for giggles and noticed that the "animalPig" entry doesn't have a weight or MaxHealth entry. Could that be why they seem to fall through the ground or why that one pig I mentioned just wouldn't die?

I've never faced any of these problems. Hunting is a no problem at all. Crouch silently to the best position to shoot from, aim for the head !POOF! you have your meal :)

Deer and pigs can withstand a great ammount of punishment if you're not hitting the head.

 
I've discovered there is a distance, where your bow can still hit the dear, but far enough so he doesn't even start running away. Iron arrows make some 2-4 hits, no headshots.

Before that I used to chase the animals into water, it slowed them down so I could shoot them. Arrows do better, really hard to kill it with spear for some reason.

I can confirm that. There's that distance. And it is not that long. I used that feature to kill deer in my early-game days)

I was surprised you didnt die right away on oaks server lol. Especially in light of your comment above. Guess youre a true survivor too lol.

 
@tilarium-

Either something is wrong with your computer, your game or you installed the Mod wrong because you are the first to report super animals that can vanish. Also Pigs and Deers have the same 200hp. Please learn to understand the xml's before you start looking through them and trying reporting bugs from them that don't exist because you misunderstand the syntax.
