Or, maybe, "utility items..."?Unless they start pushing items with superior stats for money, this is water off an undead duck's back.
You presume they're mad, i.e angry and -- honestly -- presumption and assumption rule the day.I don´t get why people are mad about that tbh. It´s their own game they want to sell a DLC for.

I suppose you are right. It's always irked me how ad-free tv & radio still constantly advertise themselves, you don't need to constantly remind me who you are, if nothing else, I will remember that every month when I pay my bill.the steam rule for ads is only for 3rd pary ads btw @Slingblade2040 Not allowing to have ads for your own product would be wild. Imagine a supermarket can´t advertise their own products in the store.
Are you suggesting this game is like a supermarket? (More like: smorgasboard?) Well, I guess that can be said of most games, but I'm not sure that can be said of this one. Can you convince me otherwise?Did you read the same post from OP as i did? Calling it scummy. Even mentioned that he will check steam rules for ads. So yeah, mad.

The voice line mentions three types of armor, only one of which is a DLC. They are the Miner, the Hoarder, and the Assassin, in that order. If this were an advertisement for the DLC, I would expect all three DLC armor pieces to be mentioned. Therefore, I assume the voiceline was recorded before the decision was made to release these as DLC.Figured I would check for myself and went to him and sure enough he has dialog for the DLC armor and talking about it.
That's annoying AF too. Especially after the 3rd time you've heard it...by the 100th...I'm starting to prefer Rekt.
In your opinion?
If JaWoodle hadn't thrown a tantrum, I don't think anyone would've noticed the name of one of the DLC skins in the voiceline. That nobody of the critical posters seemingly never even considered this could be a bug or leftover? Hanlon's razor again, it probably wasn't malice.
I like JaWoodle. He brings something (that not everyone likes) different to the streaming community. But this almost ■■■■ed me off. His reaction, as well as that of the OP, are a bit ridiculous. Getting mad at a company for subtly advertising a product is stupid. It isn't a popup that interrupts gameplay. It isn't a persistent message in the UI. It's a single line of spoken dialogue. If JaWoodle hadn't thrown a tantrum, I don't think anyone would've noticed the name of one of the DLC skins in the voiceline.
What JaWoodle and apparently most viewers didn't realize is that two other armors are mentioned in the same voiceline.
Yeah advertising can only work on people that allow it to; i stopped watching TV many years ago and have blocked adverts in browsers for decades, purely as i'm not interested in being pushed things i don't want; not because i'm offended or bothered by it but because it's annoying. That's hilarious.
Stuff like this is not something I'm going to get bogged down in. I'm not going to argue for or against worse than scummy industry practices. May as well argue with a signpost you put up yourself. Adults can decide for themselves whether or not they want to be abused, manipulated and exploited. It's the kids and psychologically vulnerable I'm concerned about and, short of regulation of the industry, I don't see a stop being put to it and it'll be a sad statement on the human race if it has to come to that.
Breaking News! Company advertises a product they want to sell in a creative, non-threatening way. More at 11!

FFS, people will find anything to be offended by.
"That mad" is a bit relative, he's annoyed enough to have mentioned it in every episode since. And it's not like he's trying to be funny about it, like trashing stun batons was a running gag of his; but this one he seems like he doesn't want to be doing it (as to not to whine and/or not to annoy TFP.)Plus i didn't interpret him being that mad about it really
Heh, sorry; I saw the yellow "posts have been made", but didn't click it before posting..Well that´s it for my ragebait theory then.
