There in is somewhat the issue. Several different ideas were given to make it immersive without bringing back jars.

So I don't hold out much hope for storms or stinking badges /shrugs.

And most if not all of those ideas offered had major drawbacks or didn't do what the developers wanted to achieve in the first place. Most posters of such ideas probably thought less than a minute about the problem and considered it solved after it achieved just what they wanted themselves.

His statement was general. I've seen quite a lot of workable suggestions from those that do little other than tweak the smoothie/badge system to those that flesh out the partially implemented gear system -- the gear system everyone was expecting that was removed in favor of the MMO-style challenge windows, smoothies, badges and HUD messages of 2.0.

Maybe moderators or someone on staff can start making a list of them. A lot of sifting involved, but they're there.

Yes, those posters should think for at least 5 minutes on the problem, like the devs did, before offering suggestions.

This is different from the badges situation for example. Renaming badges to something more immersive for example is trivial. You don't need ideas for this (except for selecting some names, but almost everything is better than "badge"), you just need the resolve to change them.
