PC So this is where roland said to go to gripe about a17 and the early release...

30% of Alpha 16 7DTD Players:

*Starts Game*

*Digs to bedrock*

*Expands hole, hides*

Where is alpha 17?? *rabble rabble* Damn streamers!

*Finally starts A17*

*Digs to bedrock*

*Expands hole, hides*

Awwwww, Yissssssssssssss! This is more like it.

Im thinking about why release to streamers on Friday? The could have give it to streamers on a Wednesday and give access to player base on Friday. that way new and old players can put more hours int to the game finding bugs. Which is the main purpose of experimental.

(Of course it could have just been a coincidence.. bugs where fixed lets ship it.)

I think a bunch of the developers are getting in on the streaming too and doing some Q and A type stuff. The reason they usually release public versions on Monday is so that they're all sitting at their desks or hammocks or whatever ready to work on bugs and community relations. If the public release is a disaster at least they have 5 straight working days ahead of them to sort out some of the major issues.

Why release to streamers on Friday!? Because most streamers and viewers have jobs or go to school and don't have as much free time during the week. Video games are for the weekends.

Its not that. I Just don't see why it can't be released to all at the same time, its not like current fans need to have the game marketed to them again, we already have it. People will still be streaming a17e even after its released to all, so they might as well just have released it to all to begin with on the same date. People who don't have the game and are curious will still check it out even if its released to everyone on the same day, so again I don't see any real reason why streamers get special early access for.
Give me one good valid reason why a certan group of players should get special access to it days before the rest, when it'd be the same thing if we all got it on the same date, you could still have the streamer thing. If anyone is acting entitled it'd be the streamers in my eyes.

If the streamer thing was cancelled and we still don't get it till monday? thats fine with me, because at least everyone then gets access to it at the same time. Insted of a few streamers getting it early, while all the rest of the players/fans get shafted.
I'm not a streamer but they should get it early they are bringing in more customers than people like me or you , 7d2d get free marketing from streamers so while they are making money for the devs we aren't so they deserve early access for all they do for 7d2d.

Invalid argument! TFP never takes a Day off nor do they sleep. :)

Hiding underground is probally still going to work just fine in a17 other than horde nights, If your that far down the zombies aren't going to detect you thru like 60-80 blocks down, other than horde night because they gps to you. Unless TFP have some surprizes that only show up underground for us.

If you put enough blocks between you and the horde they won't be able to find you unless that's changed also. Going 100+ blocks down from the surface may do the trick.

You've been around for all of 4 months based on your join date my friend. I'm glad you didn't see all the things that came before you.
Whats join date got to do with anything Jan 2017, lol This is funny its like watching the little 5 year olds push each other down at the playground

Any ideas how long the game will go from experimental to stable? Got really into my Ark recently and will prob pop back to play when it hits stable just looking for a ball park guess of when that might be?

It's usually a couple of weeks. They should release a stable build to streamers about 3 to 5 days prior to a world wide release. I would say keep an eye on them.

I just hope the Streamers crash nonstop, it is buggy as hell, and the Streamers can showcase the bugs to their audience. Should help drum up some sales ;)
Who knew the 17 in A17 means it would take 17 months to make.
Yeah, i'm not quite sure if you understand... that should that happen, A17 wont be released on monday.. right? I dont think you understand, just because you're salty about streamers showcasing the alpha first.

You dont understand, join date is the only thing that matters. Lurking doesn't matter or the time spent in 7DTD means nothing on trying to belittle someone on a forum! You grab anything, regardless of how inconsequential it is.

I really doubt stable will only be a couple weeks. I'd say at least a month. Not sure where you got the idea that streamers will get stable first either. They get the experimental first, not the stable. Stable comes out to all at the same time.

This does not bother me at all. In Fact it was Kage848 that lead me to this game in the first place. This is not just a hobby for the streamers, it is income, and hard work, and I support that. I like the fact that they have first access (think moders should too, cause WOW some of them are AMAZING!). So let them have their moment, they have brought A LOT of players too this game for TFP's.

I agree modders should have first crack more than anyone.. If it wasn't for modders this game would sell strong for the first month after a new alpha than die out until the next one , But modders probably sell this game more than anyone with their awesome mods that keep people buying and playing the game long after another alpha , I know a couple streamers that put the game down until a big mod comes out like Ravenhearst then the streamers start playing it again and more people see 7d2d and buy it..

Hell 7d2d should hire some of these modders they had things in A14 that 7d2d still doesn't.

TFP has some mad love for streamers lately. It's a joke that they'll likely get first shots to drum up interest for the a17 stable build.

Give the experimental to existing users does not harm the sales you are trying to obtain.

It simply means that you do not care about us, the people who paid to get access early. Instead, you want to give early access to an early access version of an early access game.

That's just disrespectful for the people that have been supporting you for a while.

Terrible move by TFP, another one. The way I see it this is just disrespectful to the community to think that only a certain category of "gamers" (noticed the ""?) deserve to play their game prior the rest.
