You realize game "brightness" can be changed using computer/screen settings without ever touching the "gamma" in game right? Are there any plans to deal with the people who cheat (yes, it's cheating) by raising their gamma, so they can see in pitch black darkness? I was kind of dismayed when I realized everyone on the multiplayer server can see in the dark.
i can imagine that there are still possibilitys to counter this (additional to a admin who bans for it)You realize game "brightness" can be changed using computer/screen settings without ever touching the "gamma" in game right?
This post is supposed to close this thread guys. Yes, raising the gamma is cheating, but nothing can be done against that. You realize game "brightness" can be changed using computer/screen settings without ever touching the "gamma" in game right?
That's not true at all. This post is supposed to close this thread guys. Yes, raising the gamma is cheating, but nothing can be done against that.
How are they going to detect what gamma people have their game set at? I'd really like to hear your ideas, also, I don't really call it cheating as it is a video option built into the game that anyone can use. Now the x-ray stuff by glitching thru terrain that IS a cheat. I keep my gamma around 50 or so, base is 38. I mostly play SP though so yeah, I don't have the whole gankfest that pvp is to worry about. That's not true at all.
I don't see how raising the gamma an option built right in the games video options qualifies as a cheat. If it was something only one person could do, then yes, but as far as I know everyone can freely edit their gamma slider at will, same for the brightness/contrast of what they are viewing it on. Calling it a cheat just sounds really stupid to me.This post is supposed to close this thread guys. Yes, raising the gamma is cheating, but nothing can be done against that.
Still a cheat and exploit. How are they going to detect what gamma people have their game set at? I'd really like to hear your ideas, also, I don't really call it cheating as it is a video option built into the game that anyone can use.
To you maybe. I guess you didn't want to be rude, so let me explain. On PVP servers, dark and lights are very important. It's cool to roam at night, trying not to be seen, searching for the enemy. But if everybody raise alpha, there's no more night. It's all a part of the gameplay that is ruined.Calling it a cheat just sounds really stupid to me.
Here you justify the use of all glitches because everyone can use them. I of course disagree ^^.If it was something only one person could do, then yes (...)
Postprocessing effects to reduce saturation and increase blurriness in the dark? That's how the eye actually works in the dark after all. Things don't just turn black at night. This post is supposed to close this thread guys. Yes, raising the gamma is cheating, but nothing can be done against that.
Because it IS cheating. In your case reasoned and not evil in my opinion, but still cheating.I create content, and I play 7DTD to create that content. I'll always raise my gamma so viewers can see what is going on. Not sure why anyone would call that cheating lol.
This is why I take steroids. Just in case.PvP simply needs to be fair. If everyone else is turning up their gamma then you should too. Then people are on equal footing again
They use aimbots since years too. I guess that argument is not really good.People have been using the gamma for years on PvP.
Where in the game options, is "use aimbot", a third party hack is not comparable to a ingame option lolThey use aimbots since years too. I guess that argument is not really good.
