Limited backpack crafting has issues and some sandbox ideas

Going to keep it quick. 3.0 Sandbox is a nice update but here are some issues.

Backpack crafting set to limited makes it so you can't craft some primitive items like stone spear, stone sledge hammer or bone knife in the backpack and need a workbench for them. You unlock a forge way before you can craft a work bench which is a bit of a problem since the workbench is required to make a forge and you can't make a workbench without the forged iron from the forge or if you manage to find a wrench to salvage from forged iron, buy it from the trader or get lucky and find it in loot. Finding 25 forged iron can be a pain especially since you would need to know where to look for it or rely on RNG to get it.

Food and ammo tiers need to be implemented as a way to further customize the world in sandbox options. Would love to be able to only find canned food in loot and not these luxury meals of meat stew, blue berry pies and smoothies, also the same can go for ammo to keep it at just the basic ammo not the HP or AP styles.

A damage multiplier for fire and bleed would be a nice addition also to make not just flame traps more dangerous but also give added danger to burnt zombies and added danger when we get bleed effects added to us, Yes this would also benefit us if we want to use fire traps against zombies, use the burning shaft mod or make our weapons that add bleed damage be even more effective along with the mods that add bleed effects

The backpack setting thing is going to be fixed

The backpack setting thing is going to be fixed
Fixed when? cause this more or less eliminates early game play styles if folks want to use this setting. I just unlocked the wrench and it also needs the workbench so that essentially means aside from the trader and getting lucky with RNG for the wrench there is no other way to make proper progress as far as getting a workbench goes.

It should be fixed with stable bur that's just a guess. If you allow wild work benchs at a set % it fixes alot of the issues you got

If you want it not to hard or easy I would set it to 40% or whatever you want.

Once it gets fixed with the other weapons ill be doing my playthrough with that

I'm of the opinion primitive weapons should be added to the list of limited crafting recipes, but that's just my opinion. It doesn't matter to me that there's a setting allowing and determining a percentage of working workbenches in the wild. They're primitive weapons. I wouldn't add the wrench or other metal tools, for what that's worth.

theFlu argues that picking up a hefty stick constitutes crafting a wooden club and shaping/binding together stone and fibrous materials requires skill (and a workbench), according to both video game and real life logic. Of course, I consider theFlu's opinion beside the point that primitive weapons are primitive. Indigenous peoples didn't require a workbench to shape arrowheads and axes and jawbone clubs. They probably required something stable, like a boulder, to set their materials on, but that's about it. Otherwise, they used their hands to handcraft their handcrafted weapons.

I like the food tier idea, and yeah, fire damage could be increased. I found a fire mod for my club early and it makes zero difference except to provide a little light. The zombie catches on fire and makes "OMG I'm burning!" noises and dies after the same number of hits, even when I stand back and wait for it to take burning damage.

I set it to 5% and I occasionally find one in the wild. At 40% they'll be all over the place.
