How far have you gone this playthrough?

I used to mod Half-Life 2, to create new levels. (Planet Phillip FTW!)

Modding 7D2D is a lot easier. If you learn XPath (which is not really "scripting") then you have a lot of power over what the game does.

Yes, mods that fundamentally alter the game play will probably require C# and/or Unity changes, but you won't have to learn that until you want to do something that is not possible with XML/XPath. You will be surprised how far you go until you reach that point.

My point: Modding is not a dream. Try it. You don't need to know scripting for most things. If you run into that point then ask, here or on Guppy's Discord (link is in the modding section of this forum). It will be better for you, and it will be better for the other modders. Just do it.
I made a level for Day of Defeat Source, that after weeks of work, maybe months, Steam decided to delete all of the files somehow and I did not make backups.

I am really only good at building. I just use whatever I can use, Polygons, Unreal 2.5 had a Subtract method to cut out of a void, but you could add polygon structures too, 7 Days to Die has its voxel thing. Possibly the only thing I am good at.

I do wish I could use seamless textures from online sources to add to 7 Days to Die paint selections. It seems like it would be so easy, but nobody has done it.

For what I read on forums I might be the only one who stays in game so long. I mainly stay in so long so I can build a a cool base. I also have to admit I have a lot of time on my hands, as others may not.

This playthrough:

Game Version 1.4
24 Hour Cycle: 120 minutes
Day 202
level 250

Any one else?
I just restarted my playthrough with Prebuilds learn by doing im on day 6

My longest with the mod was day 47

So, life happens. I have much to report, some question to ask, and some plans to make.

For right now...

Day 80, 2159 hrs.
Level 210, 16428 Kills.
QP 63/100.

Horde Night begins, and an update will follow immediately.

Day 81, 1120 hrs.
level 219, 17460 Kills.
QP 63/100.

I count 1,032 kills last HN, and 9 levels! I added a second level to my crafting base, to put in more workbenches to handle the scrapping of all the ammo and tools and armor bits I keep getting. I also will be adding more storage boxes upstairs to help hoard my loot.

On the home front, I got great news on tuesday when I saw the surgeon again. She made the wound bleed (more than she intended), but I got my stitches out and I am off the dang vacuum pump. Thank goodness, no more dragging that thing around and having to worry about the power cord/plastic tubing getting stuck on something.

I am grounded, no more walking outside (for how long, I don't yet know), but I may not need a skin graft at all, and if I do, it will not be an inpatient surgery, but rather and outpatient one. No assisted living needed. Not sure on the timeline, but I seem well positioned to be walking around (Normally) sometime late this summer or early fall.

I still cannot get the foot wet, so still no showers/baths, and instead will continue to have to make do with a bucket and sponge for the foreseeable future, but at least that time is finally going to come to an end, and no more having to juggle the vacuum pump.

On the game front, I am just 81 levels from completion! Once I hit 300th level, it will be a new game/thread. I want to try some creative writing once my medical situation is cleared up, and plan to play a whole lot more. In the new thread, I'm wanting to ask for folks opinions on gameplay ideas/settings.

Things that are carved in stone:
Game will be V2.4.
All zombies will be the "Walking Dead".
All ranged attacks by zombies will be turned off.
I will continue using the same world map that I am on now.
Death = Restart.

Things I am considering, and want opinions on:
Horde Nights, how soon and how fast should I start upgrading them?
1) Make HN start of with 7 days, then 6 days, then 5 days ect...
2) Make the nights longer, and if so, when and by how much?
3) Makes the max zombies go up some, and if so, when and by how much?
4) Moving my HN to the harder Biomes, and if so, when and where to?
5) Make the difficulty one level higher than this last game?

I want to plan on making one story/update per week, time and circumstances permitting. Simple posts can be any time, any amounts, but I should be having my weekends all to myself, every weekend, so if I cannot make a story post over a weekend, then there won't be one that week.

Glad to hear you're doing well.

As an aside, I spent ~3 months unable to get my lower leg/foot and upper right arm (I had a PICC line for IV antibiotics) wet. Trash bags with liberal use of tape (the medical kind that's meant to pull off without tearing your skin apart) allowed me to shower without getting the foot wet at all.

The arm was less successful.
