Guppycur's Vehicle Madness Overhaul

when I load up the game and start a new game it loads fine until it says loading game data and then it starts saying that it couldn't open the mod and then freezes I have tried disabling all my other mods and tried both versions of it but it wont work

I'll test this on a separate vanilla install and report back soon. Busy atm with other tasks but thanks Guppycur! I used to do auto tech so this is right up my alley :)

 
I'll throw my 2 cents in for sure. Just finished your example vid and that's amazing man. Modders really take 7d2d to a superior game.

Per another's post earlier on engine finding for a cement mixer, yes you can find them i agree, but would it be possible to make a small engine to replace it? as well -augers and chainsaws do not use a vehicles engine.

 
Yeh the version up now has them separate... Small engines are found like normal, car engines found in cars.

Lemme know if the balance feels right.

 
the errors I was getting go something around the lines of attempt to open gupycurs vehicle madness overhaul modlet failed it then freezes and gives me an error about a million times saying null reference exeption:object reference not set to an instance of an object

 
Definitely going to need an output log for that one. null reference errors could be anything. Not sure if the output logs are in the same place when your using sdx and the mod launcher but when you launch with steam they are found in 7daystodie_data folder in your game directory. If you find it, search for null reference exception and than copy that line and everything above it. That should be able to give us a clearer understanding of what it was trying to do when it freaked out.

 
this is a random idea for the mod but is it possible to make it so that if you find a car in the game you could get in it and it could have a small chance of starting and being drivable?

That's one of the things this mod does already.

Ok, going to test this tonight in a vanilla copy, been busy myself prepping my vid series. So tempted to toss it in the mix for the series. Will standalone test first.

Do you think it might be compatible with HDHQ textures and Mumphy's zed textures? the other mods i use aren't likely to be an issue - SMX, long life loot bags, and Khelldons Custom menu.
