PC Game Development 101 (and other arguments)

Just be careful not to multiply :rapture:

Lol I was thinking Seattle or Oregon, not the Arctic.
LOL--- Got it--- Those are doable...

Lived in Seattle for a year, Northern Ohio in the snow belt now and it feels like the arctic sometimes.

:p

@Roland
Does this grind your gears?

Were in the world did you get this and did the fire her math teacher yet?

If she is the person in accounting who does out the checks, I would like to work for that company.

But then again if she did I don't think the company is around anymore. They went bankrupt just after all the employees retired early.

I think a friend of mine said he was out on one of the janitors yachts once.

30% of the market seems to feel that they are. Your opinion does not change facts, however strong it is.
A mobile game would usually not be considered as a good "normal" game and a normal game would, no matter how good it is, suck for someone who wants to play a mobile game. They mostly cover different needs and they follow different philosophies. And mobile game design is mostly governed by its monetization model.

Yes, its my opinion that mobile games do not have the best games, even though they make more money then PC or Console.

yes, it's my opinion that Sales numbers don't always = best.

Open the scoreboard to see how many zombies you have killed, I don't want to flood the screen with useless information.
I think you are posting too much. You are going to burn out. I Suggest taking a break from posting and adding in some food recipes instead ;)

What did u think of the Jon Jones and Santos fight?

Was Jon not himself...or is Santos a beast that was injured and still humanized Jones?

she wasnt done, she was getting a green marker so she could show adding the middle 4 and 1 together to get the correct final answer.

I can't tell if your joking or not but it doesn't sound like a good way to solve a math problem.

1. My argument of the spell creator was never meant to be taken as "I want to create spells in 7d2d" (although that magic mod does seem fun). It was a rebuttal of MM's idea that removing complex things to streamline is good and he took the spell creator, one of the most wished back and missed features of Oblivion as an example.

And so SO many discussions about the state of A17 combined with the drop in ratings from 88% down to 37% after A17 dropped

Couple all that with some of MMs statements when this was happening...

It was pretty obvious and I feel like you weren't on the forums at that time or you wouldnt ask me such a question :D
Again, because YOU personally want it back, YOU read and read about this, probably posted your complaints and so in your mind this was "the most wished back and missed feature". Where is your data? Its obvious to me its not coming back because it hasn't appeared in three elder scrolls games in a row. I'm not saying removal of complex things is good, but when you cannot find a design that makes it accessible, then removal is the best option.

It falls under the 90/10 rule. If 90% of the players don't use it, it probably belongs on the cutting room floor. If its hard to teach/understand/balance on top of that, then its probably better off getting removed. There will always be those sharp stick lovers out there, but you design, play, iterate and tweak and have to sometimes admit it wasn't in the best interest of the game and you gut it.

17 was so poorly balanced that it was really difficult to pinpoint any one cause of the dislike for it. It was a lot of things we feel like we have addressed for 18.

Hello Madmole, a consultation, in which the team is currently working? Are we far from the experimental?

Hello Ayrton,

- the team is working on A18 and the OP described features.

- release dates are off topic as OP clearly mention.

- your question have been answered a million times already in this matter,

so i wouldn't expect the million +1 time to be different.

Have a nice day.

What advantage does having a compass give anyone? Going North gains you nothing if you don't know what is there.
Yes, you're right about compass, but the main idea is to add watch. Why? because you can't find out what time is it while hiding in a toilet, naked, praying zeds won't reach you and waiting until daybreak to escape. I mean, you can't tell for sure when it is safe to leave your shelter if you don't have anything.

Actually no. I was never a big oblivion player. I mostly stayed in the main city did the arena and some oblivion portals before quitting. I personally never even used that feature.

My opinion comes from following channels that play elderscrolls games. Every top 10 list has magic in it with that magic creation system put as an example. (obviously I don't watch every single one, but it definatly is the large majority) couple that with forum posts about wished for future features and youtube comments...

A more in depth faction system and an expanded magica system are the two most wished for features by far! Far above a new engine and all that :D

And this is partially true. If you have limited ressources, obviously you need to cut something.

And overcrowding features does intimidate new players.

But small features. Features that aren't necessary. Features that give the game a flare (you don't have to manually set every crossing in Skylines) are what sets it apart from loveless, lifeless Sim City (the newest one not the old ones).

And yes as I said I am glad to hear that. And I do believe you. So lets keep it at that and just blow my mind with A18 ;)

My question was, if they were working on some optimization or were working on decorations, tests etc, and the launch date is that they will not say, game since the 13th alpha in none gave date hahaha, I just wanted to know in that the team is working, the wait is long and we need to entertain ourselves with something

Whatever is in the sprint.
You won't get more than that.
