True... okay, I can accept that's not a negative, but my other point still stands; they're now static blocks that serve no purpose other than to give me a quick indication whether or not I should bother to loot them, which means I'll be in and out of houses more quickly. And I don't like that. First thing I'll mod is make them lootable.
Except there is a LOT more to those houses now..... I think they make the place look more "realistic" as far as the apocalypse goes, besides, do you really want more empty cans and jars?

I like the fact that safes can now be hidden behind paintings. There needs to be a LOT more things like that added where loot potential is not immediately obvious... assuming the hidden loot containers have better loot than normal containers, that is. :p

Maybe add an XML option that allows a specific container to designate a bonus to loot quality and/or a minimum quality of items found inside it? That way you could make "hidden safes" have guaranteed better quality loot than another container. Just a thought.

 
Guys, get over the magazine extender.This was so alpha those weren't even programmer numbers.

Stuff like that is why videos are so rare. Show anything unfinished and people go ape♥♥♥♥ over how broken or unbalanced it is.
Please consider that mostly only the upset/unhappy Players make their voice heard. Happy ones are often more quiet.

2k+ likes and 68 Dislikes on MadMoles video speaks for itself i hope.

I for one really appreciate the new Material and like the way you and the team are going.

The Weapon Mods are obviously in an early state and the potential i can see behind it is stunning.

Guys, keep up the good work and please give us some videos from time to time. Some will always have something to complain about, but information is key :)

Btw the Christmas Weekend is here and i wish all readers a happy and Jolly time with their Families or Friends.

ps: Could we please get a Q&A Video like with A16 again? Might clear things up for all.

You can allready use a box and paint it. (ok no loot)

Or build a house from shipping crates you paint. A complete house from Packed Hidden Crates, a few millions worth every respawn, and the player complain aboiut the low loot^^

That would totally take the fun out of it.

The fun part isn't getting the loot, it's finding the hidden loot container. :p

I'm not sure it would go over all that well. 90% of the questions are all about future features people are interested in getting a confirmation on whether they will get into the game and Madmole has moved on from giving ambiguous "maybe"s to parade raining "no"s...

I didn't see if anyone mentioned this but what if the health bars were only in the first difficulty, Scavenger? Or if it does get made into the game options, then make it unclickable for harder difficulties.
If it is made in to the game via perks or buffs, I would like to see it done by reading research notes you find at lab POIs or work it into the story of the POIs. If the POIs have a story to tell and a boss at the end, make a document you have to find and read that has a description of the boss and then a perk will be earned showing the health bar of that boss when you engage them.
Why make it uncheckable though? I don't get the whole box people want to put everyone into. It's an open world sandbox. People play it as much as it they do for the choices.

 
I'll take ape♥♥♥♥ over the doldrums that have been the forums with no news. This got people talking and even if it wasn't all positive it was...activity. And most here trust TFP and know its all WIP. Everyone is excited for weapon mods.
We trust them.....just have to make sure they don't put in fire glowing imps. :p

I press the like button before I even watch it so I don't forget it later. Not saying I didn't like the video.....I am going to go back and rewatch it so I can drool some more over the player animations and the all the art work that is making the POIs look fabulous.

 
I like the video really, or should i say the informations they give us.

This i would do even if they news would be horrifically.

But i think MM appreciates serious, reasoned and honest feedback. Even if its critical.

I dont think that regular forum members are really upset or unhappy because something dont fit to our wishes. All we can do is give reasoned feedback, try to share our point of view and then trust TFP.

If they would decide so bad that we would need to be upset or unhappy the game would never have been how it is.
