People read it, people talk about, why do I need to post a bug report? This has plagued many people since the minibike came out 2 years ago. There is no log file to reproduce losing a motorcycle. How does not discussing what happened to me not help anyone? It definitely helped me to vent. Rather it helped TFP or not, neither you or I can make that determination, right?
"People read it, people talk about, why do I need to post a bug report?"

You forfeit the right to complain if you fail to log your complaint via official channels. TFP have better things to do than run around after you... such as fixing bugs.

"There is no log file to reproduce losing a motorcycle."

There is always a log file, read the bug reporting form to find it.

"How does not discussing what happened to me not help anyone?"

It doesn't help the bug get fixed, it just fills the forum with complaints.

"It definitely helped me to vent."

Perhaps next time you'll put that energy to better use and write a bug report.

How do you know whether or not there is something in your log files that would help track down the issue?

Anyone else experiencing a bug where the map in-game looks very bright, so much that you can't see anything on it? That usually happens after start-up, and usually is remedied by restarting about twice..

yep... can't make a statement when of why it happens.. and I don't have it all the time

I sometomes am blinded by light in POI, but that might just be because I have shadows disabled. (my computer is 7 years old with a GEforce 230 GPU I think)

I disagree. I think with the upcoming options for blood moon frequency, player, zombie and blood moon zombie block damage, xp slider combined with the new run/walk settings we'll be able to attract the minecraft builder casual and the hardcore survival gurus. PVP will be more viable than ever too.
The solution is not to make the concrete blocks to paper! The solution is for the zombies to find their way to the player. If necessary, by zombies hitting a staircase in the wall. The fun is not to rebuild the ruined base. The fun is to prevent zombies from reaching the player on the night of the Horde. As the blocks weaken, the player simply builds more blocks. The pure destruction mode is the wrong way.

(Unfortunately, I can only speak very little English. I have used translation program German - English.)

I think we should talk A 18, lets make A 17 as stable as possible & move on to discussing the next build & not linger on this build.

Lets not linger anymore...

No need to worry about lack of water

GLITCH: If you have a bucket with water, you have water forever!

1. Craft a bucket and fill it with water of river or lake;

2. In your base throw the water on floor;

3. Fill your glass jars or cans with the water (you can do it with many at same time);

4. Note that a block of water remains on the floor, fill you bucket with it;

5. Now you can repeat all this again!

This is not unique to A17, it worked in previous versions.

I think the only times I've seen it is when I've used teleport in a MP game, though I believe my brother mentioned having it after dying in the same game. Haven't done any testing to see when it happens.

Just loot an apartment building. You will have more murky water than you ever need for a week.

Or go and farm snowballs from snow biome.

This isn’t even an exploit because it is far easier to farm snow or loot toilets.

TFP please do not prioritize fixing this over adding a18 content!!! Not an exploit

Greetings all.

Loving the new POI builds and zombie spawn rate/locations. Discovering what mods are available is super fun too.

I have a question for the dev team:

Is there any plans to create a more dangerous screamer type zombie? Maybe after a set number of screamers entering an area due to heat, a more robust screamer gets attracted? Which calls in faster and more dangerous hoards like bears etc? Just thinking that using screamers to spawn in zombies can be exploited.

Not saying it should not happen. Just that the player should face a challenge if they go that route.

Is it possible to give the screamers a stun ability if more than one is in combat, and both scream in a set amount of time? There by slowing the players movements and making it more of a hazard to face multiple screamers.

Just spitballing.

Thanks.

How can I change loot timer? This "risk&reward" is just bs when your entire horde is radiated zombies so it's almost impossible to get the loot before it goes away.

Another thing. Apparently, there is a bug when crafting sand : I was crafting 36k of sand and when I got back to check status, all sand and stones are gone. It already happened twice (it's a 17 stable save and still playing 17.0).

Can we stop and take a moment of silence to appreciate what an AMAZING game, no, WORK OF ART, this is turning out to be? The Fun Pimps really have upped their game recently. 17.1 experimental in particular has been AMAZING for me. Almost Skyrim like. I think I even saw mists in the morning in the forest. I absolutely LOVE this game in it's current form. Especially now that building and harvesting resources gives a bit more XP and the game itself feels much more RPGish. Although I HAVE died. On Scavenger mode. On the easiest possible settings. From food poisoning and lack of food of all things.

My only requests at this point would be:

1) I'd like to see some settlements where multiple NPCs give quests and maybe a main storyline for both randomgen and Navezgane. (Maybe the storyline for both could be to find a cure or something. Wouldn't be that hard to put the ultimate badass base somewhere in randomgen and have certain NPCs give hints as to where it may be as you level up. That would also add an attribute for coaxing more information out of NPCs). This wouldn't be all that hard to add, create a new trader zone type with shelters, people walking around, and dialog. I'd be happy if they didn't even actually speak out loud. Just random conversation and sometimes a quest or two.

2) More water in randomgen. Streams, rivers, ponds, Lakes. No oceans though. I found very little water thus far, just a few small ponds in the desert and a single pond in the forest next to a cabin.

3) Maybe some type of food that doesn't lead to food poisoning, but doesn't provide much in the way of nourishment either? Make it a bit rare. Grapes, blueberries, something. The trader and vending machines are a bit unbalanced so it's hard to save up enough coin before you can be ready to explore houses and get loot (unless I'm missing some aspect of the gameplay).

4) Bandits, if they don't already exist.

5) The server should have random hordes of both zombies and bandits roaming throughout the world constantly, not just spawning near the player. This would make things much more interesting.

6) Vulkan support and general graphics optimizations. In unity you can update to .net 2017. This allows you to add threading support for background tasks. I've experimented with this. With careful optimizations you can improve world load times, chunk load times, etc.

7) As I mentioned before, more sensible biome transistions. Right now I have a desert next to a winter next to a wasteland next to a green biome.

That being said, this game is coming together nicely, and I do home TFP continues to bring it to a beautiful conclusion. It's a work of art and I'll gladly pay for an expansion pack or DLC when it comes out. Hell, I'd throw more money at the Pimps right now if they could. To keep development going on this long must take a ton of cash.

So I built an A17.1 horde base today......
