Wow! Now THIS is what I'm talking about. Maybe find them in various states of disrepair? Some just need oil on the chain, others need a little weld here and there and some (very few) are pristine and ready to ROCK!!! :smile-new:

 
I hope so. The animals in War of the Walkers Mod, are pretty awesome for that reason. Had a rabbit at my throat, while a chicken was tearing up my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ once. I then woke up and was thankful for it being just a dream. A nice dream nonetheless. :cocksure:

Are play throughs like that being attempted yet or is it still a few stages before that?

The last server I played on died out in March and haven't played since.
Hello there, only features were shown in the videos and mostly in the editor, not ingame. They are finishing it up and there were no play through videos. Yet. Most is done, few is left.

If you have social networks such as twitter or facetube, you can find 7 days to die channels, where notifications pop up when something new is done or expecting. Have fun around.

 
Yes I hope so too. Maybe make the high power/high caliber weapons rare drops at military bases or what not, but make the zeds wandering the base covered in kevlar and hard to kill. Maybe the military zeds are always feral? (Possible plot point that the military is responsible for the virus.) I would love to have an m16 late game during a horde.😁
I think they said it was an alien virus that caused the outbreak, but I only think I remember that. It's been a good while, and I think story is likely on hold until they get the systems they want.

Well, not totally on hold; in one of MM's gameplay videos he went through a house that belonged to a cult leader and said that some of the poi's will have backstory to them, so I dunno.

First, welcome to the forums.

Second, not welcome to the forums; we're all jerks here.

Third, we're at the "stage" for MM to start his "gameplay videos", but that doesn't mean much. Sometimes we have a health bar up top, and it doesn't mean anything. Sometimes we have a checklist up top, and that doesn't mean much anyway. The most accurate thing to ever be said about release is "It's ready when it's ready!"

I'd say give it about a week or two and MM should start doing his thing, then we'll be close.

so the bandits are moved to a18, BUT is their xml updated anyway? and just needs refinement? or are they still broken due to...oh man I forgot how I fixed them....something in the AI file was wrong I think. I stopped the game from spamming me with errors everytime a survivor or bandit took damage.

ANYWAY, so will it be much easier to mod the NPCs into the game?

I grew my hair out and tried to donate it at 60, I went to get it cut off (needed 10 inches) and when the stylist cut it off left to much hair on my head ...ended up with only 9" ...I was bummed. I had enough if he would have cut it closer. I ended up using it for a clay shrunken head I made.

 
Yes, but I was thinking something big and ridiculous. It doesn't have to be a m16, but something thats clearly overkill, but rare. The rocket launcher is fun but I was thinking something more of a really big gun. Maybe a minigun or something that needs a tripod. This will just be a mod down the road im sure. It just seems to me that end game is lacking in heavy artillery. Remote detonated explosives would be awesome too.
I think I see were this is going and am not sure if this game could work well with that. Mainly because of the voxels working as a group.

While voxels are fine just sitting there or being destroyed one by one. But destroy a lot of them at once or the base and suddenly you have a problem. The computer has to calculate the voxels collapsing together. This is even more of a problem when you destroy the ones under them and the upper voxels lose Structural integrity SI and fall on top of them.

The lower ones go followed by the ones on top and it looks weird. I've seen this happen when someone tried to take down a whole house using a lot of TNT. Starting with the bottom, it fell away, then the next layer fell away. Layer by layer the rest of the house fell. It looked really weird.

Sometimes the game gets confused and you may find some remaining blocks hanging in mid air.

Then there is the frame rate problem. Mass destruction would change a lot of the environment at once. This would make the computer work a lot harder to put all that into video and sound eta.. This would lead to the frame rate would drop a lot.

Depending on what's going on in your server, this could crash the game.

While this would work in Empyrion galactic survival, it would not work well here. I don't know why the voxels behave differently, I just know that they do.

I do like the idea of remotely detonated bombs though. Or maybe set them up as traps. I am sure that they would be a real blast in PVP. ;)
