More like different kinds of recipes for the same vehicles.
Glue, fiber, metal pipe, and cloth....presto! A 4x4.

You've clearly never been in one of the early model HMMWV's, have you...

All we are is dust in the wind, Dude.
Dust... Wind... Dude...

Now be excellent and party on!

I dunno about you all but I'm rarely ever in my base unless its to throw more wood in the forge/iron etc. I mostly use it as loot storage/big craft jobs like gunpowder or ammo. Though since I play SP, I might use traders for this stuff more in A17, as unless its changed I don't need to worry about a heat based horde doing anything to the trader. Mind you I will have to kill them eventually, if for nothing else but their screeching gets on my nerves. Also 1000th post!

a mobile base would be cool and all, but it would have so many cons....like in sp you could just avoid everything. then in pvp you can stash your base and raid someone indefinitely. I think it's a cool idea, but it can go wrong too

T-Minus 25 days til TFPs disappoint - either with a terrible experimental build or more delays.
with a terrible experimental? what does that even mean lol oh you mean bugs isn't that why call experimental ? to find it and fix it till its stable?

oh did you know the game still in alpha?

second if it get delayed so what that mean the dev are working on it be patience like every one ells and enjoy what you have or hey play something ells until alpha 17 is out ;)

in another note To the Dev thank you for your hard work.

There was a pimp dreams thread about the trucks with beds and forges 5 months ago.
https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?81564-Trucks-with-mobile-build-space

Is this what people were thinking of?
I don't know about everyone else, but at first thought - I love this idea! Not sure what I think about the spawn idea. Almost seems like cutting corners a bit. There should be risk of being miles away from your bed making you triple think decisions when you are far away because if you die you have one hell of a hike to get back to your stuff. For me, that is a part of the game that makes strategy and risk more exciting. I would probably forego the bed idea, but other than that - f-ing amazing. I would go more with a food truck style though to be more acceptable in my mind with having a campfire and forge in the back. I have a truck and no way a camp fire would work in the back of a moving truck bed... I guess this is more of a question of reality vs. immersion though so could work for most people.

Good song.

Hell yeah... Listening to it now while posting... Good call on posting the link. It's fitting

Why not make the Jeep Solar Powered? require a solar cell and a couple batteries in place of gas? fast battery drain at night and medium drain in the rain(less than sunny conditions). this would disable the vehicle as an easy horde runner, and make things exciting while swapping batteries on horde night.

I’d make a winnebago, put it on cruise control and go back and make a coffee. I’m sure I saw that on the Darwin awards somewhere...

Oh come on now, that's just... not a bad idea, actually. Kinda wish I'd thought of it.

You'd need an awful lot of solar panels to trickle-charge a battery large enough to power a jeep in under a week.

That's the spirit!A pessimist only ever experiences positive surprises! =P
"They probably will die from a heart attack from the surprise and leave their wife and children to starve to death in poverty".

Edit: This was a quote from the Zombie bear in the corner of Al's Marina. He's racking up a huge bar tab, but says I can turn him into a door mat when he dies as that would sum up his life. Some pessimists are useful after all! :)

Ugh, started playing a bit more on my newer RNG map while I wait it out until A17. On night 29 and was doing some building to my base when a massive running horde came by and slightly off target. Had my mining helmet lantern on and they buzzed right by my base - one hitting a spike and kept moving in the same direction. Shot at one with an AK in the hopes of catching some attention for a reaction requiring defence, but not a single thought of, "hmmm, Nioise?!?! brains!!!!" and they just kept chugging past me. I'll admit, I'm using Valmod for the first time so maybe that has something to do with it.

@fataal - in this scenario, does the AI do a better job in A-17 of recognizing a disturbance in their normal routine of, "drrrr heading North, gotta head North, nothing getting in my way of heading North drrrr, get out of my way, sir your brains are no good in this horde" Now I'm not a modder or an IT guy, but I understand the debug screen(?) - (F1) "wandering horde" and "released from control" (or something to that effect). The release from horde took place inbetween their spawn point and at least 100 yrds (guesstimate) passed my location.

seems to me someone said earlier that cops vomit should disable vehicles for a while... that would be funny.
Sea gulls could disable your car irl, you know ..sea gull..food..*oop..front window..while driving..wipers..mess.. Happened to me once and it was not adventure at all. I was afraid if the animal was okay after the splash.

Personally I don`t use bike to escape, but some sort of slowin down vehicles by hitting the driver and shock `em could work very well here.
