The analogy is good if you clarify that you clean a house only as much as you need to but it is by no means as clean as what people would like to live in. I’ve been in plenty of homes in progress and if stuff is in their way they “clean” it (push it to the other end of the room or toss it outside in a scrap pile that will eventually have to actually be cleaned up itself). But they’re not dusting and cleaning and polishing for livability which I would say is analogous to playing a finished game.

So some cleaning is done just like some bug fixing and optimizing is done. Just enough to allow building to continue un-impeded.

I am surprised that they don't use something like bike parts to get that propeller to spin up IRL. I mean it would be more efficient to peddle that up to speed, as well as safer.
Right? I look at this and think some body part will be getting cut off soon. @fataal - Would there be collision with the gyro blade, as well as slice-n-dice?

Some thoughts on 'old' news."A17 Changes and Fixes List: Updated as we learn them from the developers!

Maple Forest given an autumn colors palette

Every biome remastered for Unity 2017"

Am i only one who liked green maple forest? I just.. that overwhelming spring feeling! No biome looked so alive. It is apocalypse, but in Maple forest you could forget about ever crawling 7-th day menace. It just like a vacation from apocalypse. I know i am exaggerating.

How do you feel about this change?
You're not the only one. I liked the vibrant colors, which we had variations of at one time and looked very nice. As long as the new forest is not grey or foggy *sprains eye from twitching*

I'd love to see a swamp biome. And an Airboat so I can role play a Gentle Ben episode!...
lol:croc:

It only took a moment of watching the rotor spin before I pictured zombies being hacked on, so yes, I'm going to try to do that.

I am still unclear about the whole unified MP thing they gonna change in A17. There it says that you can play MP solo, does that mean that i can no longer go ahead and generate my own world like i used to, and i'll have to pretty much join a server and find myself a plot of land somewhere and build, or it's just that i'm still gonna be able to generate my own save, but i'll be connected to the interned while i play solo? Call me stupid, i don't get it. If someone is nice enough to explain, i'd me a lot of help. Thanks :)

I can understand the jeep taking down small trees, but the big ones? rocks, boulders, bricks and trash were all destroyed. most I can understand. not so much the boulder tho. does this mean you can ram your jeep into the rock formations and tear them down too? do you get to dismount and collect wood or debris from what was destroyed?

The jeep and hog are 1000% better than last video. Nice improvement!

I'm still not sold on the driving through water thing. I know you said in video "no more hassle" but you just drove your only transportation INTO WATER, DURING the apocalypse. It should be a hassle. I wouldn't object to it being trashed and you have to find/build/buy a new one. Actions need consequences in a survival game and the dumber the action the higher the consequences should be. And driving into a river would be pretty high on the dumb side.

Me, the first time I try to fly that Gyrocopter. LOL

The jeep is looking good, MM! Cool. Looking forward to A17

I really like the new fall look, will defiantly be setting up base there.

Unless I've missed something, is boulders now a thing of the past?

its been explained already so i will try again.

1. you start a game

2. you choose how many players can join (1+) (if you choose 1 then you have your game where you are the only one in the game.

3. you can add a password now or later if you want

4. you also choose who can see it on a game server browser

so there is 3 choices there to make it where only you are in your game.

it is not considered a single player or multi-player game... its a game with options to allow or disallow people to join the game.

1 game fits all now and you have options which is what everyone wants (options).

hope this helps and no need to make it complicated... its still 7dtd. BTW... i play 1 player , password just in case i forget to change an option and i choose to have it not seen in server browser. 3 way security :)

also... you build or check what you want then change the player options and then others can join you again.

LOVED everything I saw in the video EXCEPT and I will only criticize once because I feel i want to have my opinion out there. Vehicles should in no way be able to survive an explosion like the barrel and the cars. There SHOULD be a risk of hitting a parked car. It's silly it didn't take any substantial damage if not blow up completely. Hopefully that's just early work and it will be corrected.

Gyrocopter may be a BIT OP. People will just ride horde nights out in one. Hopefully they are end game content.

LOVE we don't have to disassemble a bike in water.

So the eyeball is the new sneak mechanic. Nice. 100 percent attention to yourself if you walk, 50 percent standing still. 0 percent crouched I assume. I like it. PLEASE though make the bars look less NES days. Give em some of that special Joel art we know can be mind blowing :)

I have to agree. There should be some user error involved here. Its like hitting the parked car and just rolling away from the explosion unscathed. How OP are these things going to be? Hopefully its adjustable in the xmls.

On horde night if you attempt to fly a gyro every new zombie spawns as a vulture hell-bent on fouling up your ride. (and/or fowling it up)

The more damaged it is the less flight-worthy it should be, until you're forced to decide between landing and crashing.

Of course, if blood moon nights have enough fog/reduced visibility you could simply find yourself crashing into trees, hills, buildings...it's hard enough to fly on a clear night with lights and instruments.

fix for this, small tank, or faster consumption of fuel.
