BorderlandZ - Let's get the Fun back to GunFighting and Looting!

Hey guys has anyone got a dedicated server going for borderlandz I cant seem to get mine going at all
Hi Rambojoz,

this is the correct way to get the Server running:

  1. Fresh Installation of 7DTD on Server AND Client
     
  2. Install BorderlandZ 0.2.4x on Client
    You can do this either by using the ModLauncher > Experimental OR
    https://gitlab.com/rucky70/borderlandz-experimental-version
     
  3. Copy all files from Mods/* onto the Server (same folder)
     
  4. Copy all files from Data/Config/* onto the Server (same folder)
     
  5. Copy all files from 7DaysToDie_Data/Managed/* onto the Server into 7DaysToDieServer_Data/Managed


Also, DO NOT USE OTHER Mods with BorderlandZ!

Hope you can get it working!

I would also like the ability to pick up vehicles again. It would suck if you got one stuck somewhere and couldn't get it out. Plus it'd be better if you could ride the big helicopter while carrying the roadhog in your backpack, land the helicopter outside of town, and then use the roadhogs to travel within the town. Then pack up the roadhogs and fly across the world in the helicopter again. Just my thoughts...

I looked at the files some, but I couldn't find where to set the vehicles as pick-uppable...

planned for 0.3 is to make it "customizable", not yet sure how, but I will find a way...

so @other Players, what do you think about that?

Good to Hear .. Have Fun and Enjoy .. I've died twice in Experimental .. both times by the Shocker " Once he stun's you _ Haven't able to heal " and Just Had the Nightmare 14 day horde @ default setting of 64 .. that was brutal ..

Please allow motorbikes to be picked up … all others NO. In my opinion. Just the thought of … the Old Gamer .. :02.47-tranquillity:

Important Notice:

As A17.3 is released into Experimental, BZ 0.2.4 stable will wait till A17.3 is going live too!

As I have to make a new DLL for that, I will try to get the correct DEDI DLL working this time too,

this will have top priority for me, which could mean that the two additional Class perks will not be included in 0.2.4 already.

Please continue reporting any existing Bugs from 0.2.4Exp2 you have found, or changes you want to have, like re-adding the <E> Take command for vehicles which I will do for 0.2.4 until I have a better solution in 0.3.

When A17.3 will go live, I hope I have a 0.2.4 ready soon after.

Because A17.3 does break the Mod obviously (changed DLL) I have to do that this way.

If A17.3 will be ... stable .... then, that's another Question ;-)

btw, good work on your 14th Night Horde, I hope you had Fun! ;-)

Well, that explains it. The only way I can think of to make it customizable is to include both versions into a package, and players can choose which one they want.

As for A17.3, I'm like, "Yay, fixed POI generation," but then I'm also like, "Noooo, all the mods will be broken!" XD

 
Cant instal through modlauncher, it gives loads a error messages and says borderlandZ is corrupt then it just bugs out...

Simple reply .. COME on people .. You really Have to give better info than that.

1 .. Which version are you trying to Do

2 .. Which version of 7d2d are you running .. this is Only for .. A 17.2

3 .. Which of Mod Launcher are you running

4 .. When was the last time you Updated drivers

5 .. Which version of Window 7 or 10 ??

I had No Issue with either .. and .. I'm running and Playing Both .. through the Mod Launcher.

How many 7d2d games have you played using the ( Mod launcher ) is this the first ???? Make a Copy of the Mod Launcher ( output Log ) and post. …………… That is just a thought.

OK, I downloaded the launcher last night, (version 2.0.80.18955) I pre-sync the mod. Hit play and it just starts vanilla 7Dtd. I'm on 17.2 no other mods... Win10 (updated) trying the experimental mod, (been watching Kage848 play it) Any ideas?

Only thing I can think of .. when you installed Launcher .. did you install a copy of 7d2d to it ? .. check the launcher and see if you have a folder called " mod launcher " small print and in it .. there should be a folder called " Alpha 17 " and in that there should be a folder called " BorderlandZ .. if not .. something did not install correctly. ( their should be 2 launcher folder 1 - Mod Launcher and 1 - mod launcher "this is your game folder" )

Also there are 3 game windows .. it starts in Vanilla first and changes to the BorderlandZ window in a few minutes .. for doing your settings in .. then goes back to the Vanilla Loading window .. Give it time to Load, it can be a long load depending on your system.

I try it a few times on my Nitrado Dedi Server but i cant get it to work. Try it with Navezgane and a RWG seed: "RWG sux a lot".

But the Server stops loading with the error:

Bug report .. ON both version .. I have noticed Not all Boss kills are being counted for second quest .. something you might want to check.

It is a random thing .. Not 100% sure if it is just with the .. Elemental weapons or not .. Killed a Biker Boss with ( Maliwan Fire Ak-47 ) and it did Not Register as a kill .. also same thing has happened with the Big Snakes using an elemental weapon on both version .. Stable and Experimental.

Kills made through a "Buff" (f.e. burning) won't register as your "kill", though you mostly still get XP from that - yes strange thing, but that's vanilla, can't do anything about this. I hope this will get fixed eventually

This means if you try to kill a BOSS shoot him with as many bullets as possible (so the normal bullet damage is higher than the buff damage (Fire, Toxic have the most additional buff damage!, but also Ice and Electric have that!))

or even better, when killing a BOSS switch to a non-elementary weapon! Also don't use Torgue or explosives for that, here the same can happen (when zombie got killed from Area-of-effect and not direct hit)

This is not much info for me to track back the problem.

All I can say is:

1) You need a clean install of 7DTD A17.2 (NOT the Experimental A17.3, this is NOT compatible!!!)

2) Clean the installation and cache of the ModLauncher

3) Make a copy of 7DTD + BorderlandZ-Mod THROUGH the ModLauncher (click on BorderlandZ Stable OR Experimental and you will see that option

4) WAIT. It has to download 1.6 GB of Data.

5) Drink some Coffee or tea.

6) Have a sleep.

7) When it's ready, check again that [ ] use EAC is set to OFF, THEN hit Play

8) Have Fun

BorderlandZ is not really set up for Dedi, but on Discord they have found a workaround for that:

1) get the 0.2 FULL zip (first page)

2) get the 0.2.4Exp2 UPDATE zip

3) copy both onto the server

4) copy the file Assembly-CSharp.dll from the 0.2.4Exp2 zip (Folder \7DaysToDie_Data\Managed) onto Server (Folder 7DaysToDieServer_Data\Managed)

This should work.

This is a known vanilla problem.Kills made through a "Buff" (f.e. burning) won't register as your "kill", though you mostly still get XP from that - yes strange thing, but that's vanilla, can't do anything about this. I hope this will get fixed eventually

What about the hunting quests for animals? Is there the same rule? There are no problems with rabbits and chickens, but deer only counts sometimes, boars did not score one. After reading your explanation, try using funpimps AK-47 and deer probably counts more often, but still not always. But boars... nothing.
