Not yet, Quest Update will come propably in 0.4 as 0.3 is already feature freeze (but still a lot to do).

And yes, you can pick a second one ;-)

In 0.2.4 the next small mini update (mostly coming this weekend) that second trader quest will be muuuuch harder...

So this is the time to test two Action Skills!!

This Mod is still in very early development, and for the moment we only have parts of the GunPlay ready, and even that needs improvement ;-)

So... I have a lot of ideas to implement but I can only do as much as I can ;-)

Don't know if it is a mod issue or a 7d2d issue using the Mod in reference to smoothing .. (never have seen this one before)

Started about day 9 or 10 around Level 77-80 with a game stage 255-267 .. and .. now I'm on day 15 _ level 95 game stage 327 ….. Love the horde and I did survive (But _ thank goodness for Auto turrets or I would have died.)

But anyway back to the Question and I hope you can read it from the screen shot .. you might have to enlarge it.

Sorry my friend, don't know that error, and that hint it gaves ("reduce smoothing") and you saying you're not using another Mod alongside BorderlandZ? How much RAM and VRAM do you have?

Could be perhaps a HDHQ Problem as that's very graphics intense, propably you could remove the HDHQ Main Textures Pack 2K from the mod or even the Biome Texture Packs (though that will greatly reduce the game intensity...)

As a first try to reduce your grafics settings...

I'm on level 150+ with a gamestage of 700++ and day 30+ and never have seen that.

(But yes, the FPS is getting down a lot of time lol, even if I only play at medium settings - grafix wise)

I hope to get the Experimental Version up today already... only a little more patience needed... ;-)

Thank you Rucky for looking ..

FPS runs around 60+ using a GTX 1070 ti and system ram is 32 .. it just pops up once in awhile .. but you have to use the F1 key to see it .. So far not causing any problems other than showing up and I was just wondering about it ..

I guess I could turn down the settings in game a bit .. to see if that would make a difference .. Now they are all on High

I don't have any question or issues currently I just wanted to say i have had a lot of fun with this mod and a really appreciate the hard work you have put into the project. I will be looking forward to seeing the Server version of this mod but as i saw someone else say, work at your own pace and don't get burnt out.

I get an endless string of errors. It gets even worse after you spawn into the world.

Definitive a DLL Problem here.

So a few questions for more info please:

1) Are you playing SP or DEDI ?

2) Which Version do you play ?

3) Have you installed from ModLauncher or manual ?

A guess: you are using the wrong DLL here.

You are using (or trying to) version 0.2.4Exp1.

If you are playing on a DEDI please copy the Assemply-CSharp.dll from the manual Update onto the Server.

The File you will find in the Zip in the Folder \7DaysToDie_Data\Managed but on the Server it needs to be copied into \7DaysToDieServer_Data\Managed

Again don't use the second Assembly-CSharp.dll I had provided (Link already deleted)

Also use the update for 0.2.4Exp1 not the one for 0.2.3 !!

edit: for clarity: you will be using the Client-DLL on the Server!

This is working as many has already doing this, including showing multiple Coop-Videos on Youtube already,

BUUT you won't be able to use other server-side API-Mods!

I'm working on a functioning Server.DLL, but that will take some time, so please use the Client.DLL for the moment!

Ah yeah, it was the wrong DLL. I guess I should finish installing the updated files before trying to play, whoops. Sorry to bother...

That will take a while sorry,

for the moment you can use the CLIENT version of the DLL (f.e. found in the update) and put that in the correct folder of the Server.

Get the Experimental 0.2.4Exp1 from the Repo here : https://gitlab.com/rucky70/borderlandz-experimental-version

Copy all files/folders BUT then folder "7DaysToDie_Data" onto your Server, and copy the file Assembly-CSharp.dll from "7DaysToDie_Data/Managed/" into "7DaysToDieServer_Data/Managed/"

You can't use other Server-API-Mods then but I think for 2-3 people that should not be needed...

At least you can play with a "dedicated Server" then...

What's new in the 0.2.4Exp2 update:


Here is a list of included Changes from BorderlandZ 0.2.4Exp1 to 0.2.4Exp2 :





  • removed Dedi-DLL for now, need some more work... Client-DLL is working for Server so this should do it for the moment...
  • Added even more Options back into the Menu Settings, as some were not defaulting correctly - that's a vanilla problem when using different saves/games with different settings
  • Fixed Explosive Weapons Heat generating (were too less, I know you like Torgue Weapons, they are pure FUN, but that should come at a prize at least...)
  • Changed Trader time back to 02:00 - 22:00, meaning 4 ingame hours (10 min realtime on 60 min gamedays) no traders. Sorry guys, you are not meant to camp there !!
  • Upgraded Axton's Auto Turret with a bit more Firepower! (more than worth it now, especially for being immobile!)
  • Increased BOSS Zombie health and damage too, some were just meh and not worth to be called a "Boss". (Still the Giant got way less armor rating than default mod)
  • TrashCans won't get destroyed after looting anymore
  • Seperated "Showing TargetBar" in another Modlet (Folder) so you can deactivate (delete) when wanted, name should be self explaining ("Ruckys_Showing_Hitbar_Need_DLL")
  • More Bugfixes in localization, quests, recipes and Zombie names
  • Made normal and self-powered Turrets much more resistant - you will need that against the base-wrecking Bosses!!
  • Balancing crafting and upgrade cost of some base blocks
  • Increased Elemental Bonus damage
  • Changed the most eradic Zed walking/running type (6) into a less eradic one (3)

  • Doubled Spawngroups for HordeNights. People asked, now they get. Don't complain now! ;-)
  • Re-added Heat to all Ranged Weapons. I haven't seen a Screamer in Ages, nope, had to change! But Silenced Weapons are still way way less heat making and the way to go!
  • Changed Light brightness on all Vehicles (inclusive Manux' and Dust2Death's that have this feature) from x10 vanilla down to x3 (was too bright for my eyes)
  • Added 16 and 32 back to Bloodmoon-EnemyCount (for lower end computers)
  • Added even more Options back into the Menu Settings, as some were not defaulting correctly - that's a vanilla problem when using different saves/games with different settings!
  • Increased Tanker Zombie health and damage (one-shotting Tankers? no way guys! (besides you have an Epic Toxic Magnum, this DESERVES a One-Shot-Kill-Bonus!)
  • Full Overhaul of all Initial Quest descriptions and Window sizes of Quest tips and Journal entries, now some sort of early Wiki is included when you wanna read!
  • Added TargetBar - Tell me what you think about it! Should it stay or made customizable or even only available as a "mod" for the helmet?
  • Removed <Take> Command from Vehicles. BorderlandZ isn't realistic, but having 3 or more vehicles in the backpack seems ... wrong.... What do you think? Good or Bad?
  • Halfed the Friendly Animal count in all Biomes (I want (wild)life but they also count against the entity max numbers! Seems interestingly WAY more less now...
  • Increased second Trader Quest fulfill requirements ;-) No, you won't get your second ActionSkill as easy as it was ;-)
  • Increased BOSS Damage against Buildings, but not against earth! You wanne be sure in your home? Try better!! (still you have the MENU OPTION to lower the Damage, don't forget that!)
  • Added Quality-Color-TEXT/Description for all tiered Items and Mods, I've left the Quality-NUMBER on the Info-Window for better comparing ;-)
  • First Version of the Dedicated Server - Assembly-CSharp.dll --- though I don't have a Dedi yet, I can't try it for myself atm, so please test and report back! thanx!!

  • Added a first version of the BorderlandZ-Menu
  • Added Dust2Deaths HDHQ-Items, but only the Spotlight which is far better than the vanilla one
  • Ammozone Packages rebalanced
  • Another small Reduction of the Loot (still it's way too much, but I want you to test all the cool things in this Mod until it hits a later stage! ;-)
  • After looting standard Garbage and Bird's Nests these will be destroyed
  • Adjusted Recipes and Hitpoints for the Fortified Iron Bars (more ressources needed for a stronger block)
  • Added two more vanilla Gun mods (MuzzleBrake and Silencer) to the QSR enabled mods (that is Quality range + randomized stats)
  • Increased Output window from 6 to 12 Slots
  • Increased possible Crafting-Ingredients from 5 to 10 Slots (thanx to DCM/Baobab)
  • Workaround/Fix for the Sound Bugs on some of Robelotos Custom Zombies

  • Reverted Heat Reduction of all Ranged Weapons, increased Pistol Heat, but still reduced ALL(!!) silenced Weapons Heat to 50% (Vanilla was no Reduction at all)
  • Reduced Money and Ammo Loot
  • Reduced Sell prices and increased Buy prices about 10% each
  • Reduced Ammozone Shotgun shipment to 50% (prizes of Ammozone are between Ammo crafting prices (lowest) and Trader Ammo prices (highest))
  • Reduced Berserking Damage Reduction (from max +60 to generally +30 Points, was way too OP)
  • Doubled Zombie Sight Range (from 30m to 60m, still lower than Vulture 70m)
  • Slightly increased Biome Zombie spawning

For the Dedicated Server there is a workaround, though if you already have 0.2.4Exp1 running you don't need the Assembly-CSharp.dll!

Please copy the normal Client-Installation without the Folder "7DaysToDie_Data" onto the Server and then copy the Assembly-CSharp.dll from "7DaysToDie_Data\Managed" from the update/Gitlab-Repository into "7DaysToDieServer_Data\Managed" on the Server!

Generally this is an Experimental Version, which means Bugs, Problems, even Crashes are likely to get!

Also this new Version IS NOT save game compatible to 0.2.3 and earlier ones, but it is to 0.2.4Exp1.

Please report back any Problems you might encounter!

Personally .. I don't really like the Torque .. prefer fire and electric weapons .. I know .. Just a personal preference thing.

Everyone like a different kind of weapon, and that's good! That's what I want, to provide a sandbox that players have FUN ;-)

Only sometimes I need to... uhm... limit or restrict it a bit... when it gets exploited too much ;-)

Other than that, whatever works for you... it's BEST!

(Personally : Using Maliwan Electric AK47 for Gunserking and Maliwan Toxic Shotgun for CloseUp killing, Sidearm is a Toxic Jacobs Pistol and Reserve is an EPIC Maliwan Electric SMG - EPIC in the weapon name, all weapons are legendary. Level 150++, day 30++)
