Beaker

Please, give the ability to create a beaker in the forge! I dunno how this was missed, but creating a beaker in the forge should of been added way before update 2.5. It was available in A16, but for some reason got deleted, makes no sense.
I agree. The beaker has been the one missing ingredient for a Chemistry Station in a couple of my playthroughs. My friend literally went from trader to trader every three days for a while trying to find one. If glass jars can be forged, why not beakers? I do remember forging them on previous versions of the game as well.

I don't think that's something believable in a post-apocalypse context.
It's like crafting modern weapons from scratch without weapon parts.

Do you know how difficult it is to create a beaker without any scientific reference?

Not only is it difficult to create a reliable glass container with that shape, but it's also VERY difficult to recreate the value measurements.
Best realistic solution is to loot it from hospitals and labs (like we do in the game right now).

And yet we're making an autogyro, whose blades must be almost perfectly balanced.

The possibility of making a measuring cup is quite reasonable. Acid can be found in many places, but finding a measuring cup can sometimes be a serious problem.

Maybe you won't believe me, but creating a working gyro from scratch is probably easier (with some trial an error).

The problem with a beaker, apart from the crafting itself, is you won't know you did your work well until you use it multiple times and test if the equal values increments you marked on it are correct.

Imagine mixing explosives powders, potions or poisons but messing up the right quantities because your beaker is not measuring correctly.
Especially with explosive powders you could end up crafting a dud or even having the misture blow up in your face because the proportions for the recipe are not translated right in the beaker.

Of course this is a game, so you can have flying pigs if you like, but personally I would like the idea.

I know folks who play on consoles can't have mods, but for the rest, adding a beaker recipe is pretty easy.

In terms of the game, I think making one in the forge would probably make sense, though I feel that would be too easy. It would turn a rare item into a commodity. Maybe if it were crafted at the workbench? I don't know what would be best.

Everything is relative.

Checking the uniformity of a beaker's scale is very simple. Pour the liquid up to the first mark, pour it into another container, pour it again, return the liquid from the other container; the level should be at the second mark. And so on.

Now about the division value, which can't be properly adjusted in the apocalypse, but it's not necessary. Everything is mixed up in proportions, and if we need a 1:2 ratio, it doesn't matter at all whether it's 1 liter to 2 liters or 1 pint to 2 pints. The ratio will be the same. Precise scales are essential in modern laboratories, since different people can measure different materials with different instruments. But here, we do everything alone and with one instrument.
