Looks great!
But.... that looks 10 times more deadly than the tier 3 standard baseball bat. Kinda backwards in my brain.
Not really

a Baseball bat is Harden and sturdy and has a nice about of wight

this thing looks makeshift with old nuts , bolts and other scrap parts. compared to a well made ,harden baseball bat

and I LOVE THE LOOK!

URGH! Awful. Looks like it weighs about 20 lbs. Who is gonna make something that huge and clunky and carry it around 24/7. No less be able to swing it. I'm not asking for realism but at least have it fit into the world we're living in.
Thanks. A more blunt way of saying what I said, haha.

Same person who carries around 1000 pounds of concrete :)

In this world zombie skulls are really strong so it makes sense that the weapons would look like overkill.

The m249 light machine gun aka SAW used by the United States Army weighs 10 kg (22 lb) loaded. Soldiers carry this 22 lb weapon around for hours on end. So I would argue that this new Iron Club is right in line with realism. :)

I've come to realize this was a stupid comparision. Statement retracted. -ZombieSurvivor

I get the whole it's-a-fantasy bit, on board for that, but it'd be nice if the art wasn't all over the map, and I cordially dislike the exaggerated look. Imagining what the game would look like if all the art was similarly exaggerated, my reaction is EWWWW. What's next, sydney-opera-house shoulder pads on all the armor?

I love the detail in the club, just tone the exaggeration down some, make it fit better with the gritty-realism motif please? Comic exaggeration is fine in the biker or the cop, they're already plainly fantasy elements drawn exaggerated to clue you in that this guy's Not Normal. Is there anything Not Normal about that iron club's behavior? Does it hit five times harder than the existing iron club would?

If the average guy had the strength to swing it rapidly sure. I kind of thought the same thing but the bat is made light weight and perfectly balanced to swing fast and powerful, where trying swinging a crankshaft sometime and yeah its gonna hurt, but its not going to tear someone's head off like a balanced weapon would.

Maybe we'll swap them around but books and stuff are all set up as the baseball bat being the top tier weapon. Need to see how it feels in game then decide.

Thanks TFP's for adding back the area effect for shotguns. This is great! I killed two zombies with just one shot from my double borrowed shotgun. I posted a screenshot of it on the STEAM page, check it out.
How can you borrow it from two people? Did it have a co-owner? :D Or did you borrow it twice from the same guy?

A survivor perked into STRENGTH.

You guys over react to everything. If you actually look at how big the hand grip area is where there is a strap of metal around the players hand its about 12" long or something. Its not huge. My snowball mic head would be bigger than the top crank shaft part. Its a one handed weapon. Wait til you see the steel battle axe I mean fire axe.

Yeah, maybe -- but if the hand guard is really hand-sized, making the ~12" length accurate, isn't the reach on that thing going to be way shorter than the current club?

Wasn't kidding with my "love the detail" remark, serious about it looking awesome, I just assumed I was looking at new art for something about the same size as the current club feels, maybe 20-24".

There is no over, there is no under. There is only react.

or something. :smile-new: :playful:

I could be wrong since the glancing blows was added but at one time stuff was grossly exaggerated so you could actually hit something. If not you would have to fill the entire screen with a zombie just to reach it with a punch. Like most stuff shot a ray out 2-3 meters from the player which is a lot further than your reach.

GIVE IT TO ME!!!!!!!!!

But theirs nothing wrong or crazy about the club. Hell if i had the Supplies i could build one. i make makeshift swords in my yard with old Wind chime Pipes.

well i think
(Correct me if i'm wrong but)

some POIs aren't in Navezgane Like some of the restaurants and a few others

and i think it would be cool if they did add those and a few others for both and Nazezgane

Like a Pumpkin patch (Joel plz don't make that joke again)

A Farmers Market

A Casino with a Hidden Drug den (snowdogs hangout)

Brunted down stores (Working stiffs , pop in pills ETC)

Power Grid

military Refugee camp (like a more advanced settlement)

Crashed Airliner

i can go on with ideas!

DAT LOOK GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

A+ to who made it!
By "unique" I meant "not duplicated poi's": a world with some extremely good and loot friendly (specially fetch quests) is something I don't like. That's why I like Navezgane a lot and you are right: bringing POI's currently not available per si would be an expansion.

Im not talking about duped POIS. their would be a 1 or at lease 2 (mostly homes) Pois in Navezgane

just some new ones.

Maybe a town in the desert that has the Theme of a Poor Country town. and the people were "prepped" and they enforced their homes with Spikes , Mines , and others traps. even a Makeshift settlement, it could have a Pit were they burn the body's of the dead.

A Crashed Airliner in the burnt forest (to explain why it went to flames) and theirs a ton of Trash, Scarp able items and some others junk and boxes

A Quarantined Hospital full of zombies and theirs hazmat and army trucks full of meds

i can go on but i would take up the Whole Forum

Sounds right, but that's how the zombies look, not how your weapons look. The current iron club looks fairly long and yeah, it connects farther than it "should", but I don't mind that. The zombies' reach is (or feels, anyway) even more excessive, and I actually like that, it gives combat in this game a nightmarish feel that keeps getting more (attractively) unsettling as the world looks bettter and more realistic, stretching that however far you can manage keeps the zeds scary and gives it that 7dtd feel.

Just checked, the current iron club's apparent length is right at what I thought it was, 20-24", the shorter side of that in third-person, right about 24" in first-person.
