The m249 light machine gun aka SAW used by the United States Army weighs 10 kg (22 lb) loaded. Soldiers carry this 22 lb weapon around for hours on end. So I would argue that this new Iron Club is right in line with realism. :)

Very nice, can't wait to see some other art overhauls.

Which reminds me, if you get a change can you look at the durability of faster swinging weapons? Specifically the wrapped knuckles and bone shiv. They cost way more than the spear or club(and repair), take way more actions to down an enemy and degrade way too quickly imo. Just a balance thing.

 
That looks horrid... scrapping be the only decent thing to do with this thing.... :-\

Well it fits the new theme they seem to be going with; Mad Max. Just look at the spears, steel sledge, shock baton and modded baseball bat. The discrepancy between the old art and new art is super apparent now.

i understand the Spear but the steel sledge hammer??

just looks like a Meth head put a Dumbbell on a pipe and called it a day.

AND I LOVE IT

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE MACHETE , STEEL AXE , WOODEN CLUB , KNIFES , AK47 , SMG , PISTOL AND EVERYTHING ELSE!!!!!!!!!!

literally like someone just found parts and whatever at a factory and just screwed it all together.

new favorite weapon 2020 i can not wait.

Yeh but the spear looks classy and looks like effort was put into its design.

It looks ♥♥♥♥. Ugly like . Besides you needing to be a god to carry it lol but that besides the point. And yeh the steel sledge looks horrid to i simply scrap em when i find them... no use what so ever.

Didnt see an issue with the original model tbh.

Just the game itself feels their rushing things to get the game gold rather then giving the detail to things like they use to before talk of going gold was even thought of. And well went from not worried bout gold and giving detail to need to go gold asap seems things are rushed. And now all of a sudden time between alphas are short and things being rushed in half assed

I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would think the new iron club is less creative than the old one. How could anyone honestly look at the new one and think "half-assed and rushed" after seeing the original one?

The fact that TFP is creating their own original assets rather than using ones you can buy in a store and can be seen in half a dozen other Unity games shows that they aren't trying to rush anything. Rushing and half-assing it would be to call it done by using canned art assets.

Also Joel just announced that gold wouldn't be coming in 2020. Seems they are taking their "rushing" at a pretty slow pace....

It's fine if you don't like the art style of the new club but saying that it is rushed or uncreative or half-assed especially compared to the original design is going too far in my opinion. It is surprising.
