@madmole a query of the 11 weapons that brings A18 are 11 different weapons? or are the total with the stone-metal-steel?example

we improved the concept of apocalypse with all this !! total thanks! Would not it be wrong to add javelins and Viking ax for scrap metal? (the ax is a weapon)

 
I'm hoping so. I feel pretty warm and fuzzy about the designs, but until the rubber meets the road, its hard to tell. I'm planning on playing like today or as soon as I can cook RWG. It's not all there obviously but strength and agility builds should be 100% so I'll try one of those.
Speaking of RWG... screenshots of some nice A18 RWG landscapes and especially towns/cities would make me hard. Just fyi

While 17 rwg is playable now in 17.3..it pales compared to A16.

I really like the variety of tier 1 weapons. Stone spear and stone sledgehammer for the win!

Oh, and speaking of tier 1 items... What about a stone hammer? I really liked the WotW mod that added stone hammers. If I remember right, they reduced build speed with the stone axe, but added the stone hammer. It made the game a bit more immersive. I mean, I always thought hammers were relatively pointless in vanilla since my base was usually fleshed out enough before finding one. The stone hammer solidified the builder role.

What are your thoughts on the stone hammer? I know the obvious is: Does it really add anything that the stone axe can't do? Is it worth "inconveniencing" the player?

When we get around to the steel fire axe it will look post apocalyptic like we're trying to do now.

Too bad. I would have liked a new quiet weapon like a stronger crossbow.

Yes there is. I don't want to wait until I have iron in order to build a heavy weapon.

 
Yeah I love the original. That is the idea with various new zeds coming at different game stages to keep hordes challenging without adding 15000 zombies on screen.
I think it makes sense to take the idea of "adapting zombies" one step further than PvZ, slowly changing the composition of the horde to counter the player's previous defensive strategies. If zombies spent a lot of time hitting walls, demolishers will come to help next time. If the player tried to run away, increasingly fast zombies will come. It would encourage the player to keep upgrading/modifying their base, without needing the zombie stats to balloon at an uncontrollable rate.

 
I'm waiting for a size probability on sub biomes so we can add plains to forests and deserts, and have generally thinner trees in the forest with patches of thicker areas. Good for performance and visuals.

We thought that 7dtd will remain with a couple of biomes, it is intended by genial designers, because "plains - no one liked"!

News about the possibilities of changing size of sub-biomes make me happier :)

The constant struggle for texture memory and they didn't really have a clear purpose. We wanted to redo all the trees and redoing them was going to be a lot of work for very little return. One really good forest is better than two mediocre ones. Spectrum swapping, why is this forest colder than the other one, just a lot of stuff. Its nothing a sub biome can't handle better once we get larger sub biomes.

* Will we have new beverage recipes?

* New vegetation? for the elaboration of new drinks?

* New foods?

* New clothes?

* New armor?

* New work table?

I was really really hoping for a kind of mine I could toss somewhere, and then pull out a triggering device to detonate it when I want to detonate it sort of thing. Any chance of seeing something like that in the future?

-Would we have big shotguns? (wooow)

-Ballesta automatic? (the Chinese had it millions of years ago)

-Ballesta modern? (if you can not add the automatic)

-Pollet of bolts (ammunition seems familiar to me)

Something like a "Claymore" mine would be fun.

Step 1: Place Claymore on porch.

Step 2: Kick open front door.

Step 3: Fire Shotgun to "Ring doorbell"

Step 4: Retreat off porch

Step 5: Await Biomass of decayed flesh to traffic jam at doorway

Step 6: Click Switch "Kaboom"

But where were they at A17? There were none.

Everything was said as if it belonged to A17, and then it didn't happen! Where are the plains sub-biomes in A 17? What were we supposed to think when Joel, besides, started justifying their absence?

No one said until that time that they could come back(more biomes). But, began bending our ears - "Oh, how nice it is to play in the same biome!"

Roland, am i the only one whining about the plains?

The biome mixer part of current RWG is the old A16 version which has been used while the A18 biome mixer is finished. You got a sneak peak of the rough draft for the new biome mixer in 17.1 if I'm not mistaken.
