Think he means using a buff on the entityclasses which then can have a triggerd_effect with a randomized walktype property. The WalkType property on an entityclass cant be randomized as such.
Yes, but you can do it directly on the entity class because a trigger is an atomic operation.

Does not have to be a buff.

It may still be useful to wrap it into a buff anyway so you don't have multiple event listeners running on every zombie.

I put together our first working vehicle mods today (Mega, FuelSaver, Headlights, Speed), but I don't know what the initial ones will be nor what version they will be released.
...and to the loot hoarders out there, a trailer that hitch onto the 4x4! No? Just me then? Oh well, one can dream :D

 
I tested extensively the memory requirements of the game and the most I could get it to use was 2.8 gigs. Open your task manager to see where all your memory is going, CTRL SHIFT ESC. Make sure streaming textures is on.
I don't see us lowering the memory any further its the lowest its been since many many alphas. The cpu and gpu are taxed but we're working on it. What we are doing is getting rid of the hitching and getting people more fps through optimizations and an occlusion system.
Look into more extensive multi-core utilization, the guys who have it will really appreciate it, put my 10 core i9 to work!

couple reasons:


 


1. when i/we edit someones post that means you do not have another post to skim down thru.



2. when i/we edit a post it is a direct comment at that post and not referred to 3 pages later.



3. the different color is to grab attention and not get us lost in the shuffle of things. (benefits the op and QA when checking reports)



4. i/we are not worried about upping post counts (less trimming) moderators/roland has to do.



5. (i speak for myself on this one), when i use our qa blue text, it shows i am talking sorta official and my regular text means i talk like everyone else and have opinions as well because i am a customer/game player too.



6. anything else i can answer (within reason)?

wasnt me so dont even insinuate that.... and.... we may never really know the truth any ways. just like a lot of questions we will never know the truth to.

Well, animal dismemberment was broken, which now works. AFAIK zombie dismemberment worked, but only through perks. A18 will still have that , but also cosmetic dismemberment, which means when an animal or zombie dies you may get a dismemberment. You can even get dismemberment on a corpse if you hack on it.
Kinda sad to hear that. Dismemberment was just a nice graphics feature for me.

So now I need a perk to have it? Naah, prob I'll never see it again then.

Well unless i go a little insane, and start chopping up zombie corpses... Weird I say!

Thanks we try to do both. What do you mean by manage? I have several save games and can load them from the menu now.
Joel don't pretend !!! ) You understand everything! ) A person has in mind the ability to make several manual saves for one game! ))) For example, before performing the task, before the horde, before the construction and more. And that these saves were available in the list of saves.

when it is not to complicate, i have a suggestion for the electric system.

At this time it is not possible to connect more than one batteriebank or one generator / solarcell with each other.

i have often the problen that this point makes the elektric wireing extreme complicated.

it would do it more easy to build bigger electric networks with more generators/solar cells .

Please can you let fix it in the future?

 
When A17.3?! If A 18 is first half of 2019 and it's just about April, when A17.3??? Not trying to give you guys crap, I know you get enough of that, just blood thirsty for content, and want my explosives to work.

Side not, maybe invent a reason to take the wire tool out of the base? Perhaps a POI with auto turrets that you can deativate with a High enough science skill? Just a thought

 
In discussing the crafting of gear getting tied to the relevant perk among my MP group we were wondering if the ability to make the ammo for weapon types will be tied to the same perk? For example if I have the gunslinger perk so I can make pistols will that also allow me to make the ammo for them or will that still be tie to some other stat/perk?
Most likely. GP might require a bit of science, we'll see when we move onto that. I'll be doing it right after I'm done with books. They are coming along well, so maybe another week or two and I can start on the perk rebalance.

 
I'd like to know what's going on with the wasteland and rad zones? I've always thought of those areas as end game stuff and where the big baddies would be plus some crazy biome exclusive PoIs. Is anything like that in the works for those areas?
Thats kind of the plan, but it might be a next game thing, we'll see how things shape up.

 
Yep.. why we don't see it in play until both harms are gone is beyond me. Even at level 99, its a rare zombie that has more than one limb gone before dying.
I think we could spawn some with missing limbs at random then we'd see more of that.

might it be possible to add a percentage chance that biting is chosen as the attack animation, even if they have all their limbs?

that would mix things up as far perdicability :)
