A New Chapter for The Fun Pimps and 7 Days to Die

I get it...you're still butthurt about me saying TFP sure got their money's worth out of sponsoring ONE of your videos.

I think You say whatever you think will get you applause from the people you are in front of...right now it's the forum. It's not like they watch your content.
Yah yah whatever you say dano, whenever I disagree with you it's because I'm trying to look cool in front of some forum users you got it bud.

Nobody could EVER just think you're a lunatic legitimately because of what you actually say...no it's aaaaaall a conspiracy. God I hope they don't give you wifi when you get to the retirement home.

gee...if only they had clarified what any of that means anymore. Instead we get these seemingly deliberate misunderstandings.

I had no problem understanding what Faatal said. Really. If it was deliberately done to confuse people it was a very weak attempt.

So according to your post they are working on Sandbox and Bandits concurrently? I thought the Sandbox did not have anything to do with Bandits...including not slowing down how long it was taking?

Concurrently means there is a specialist for the UI adding the sandbox options while the specialists for AI are improving the bandits behaviour. As you can see that would mean both features have nothing to do with each other AND they are not slowing each other down

"There are a lot of big, amazing things we want to do in 7 Days to Die. Behaviour has heard a lot about these amazing things, and are also excited about it. Getting that stuff into the player's hands at an accelerated and reliable cadence is what we're committed to."

Sounds good. I mean, pretty good. Fingers crossed.

I think the AMA made me feel better. I like that consoles have a better chance to get mod support now.

Hopefully it'll be more than just XML mods so consolers have a chance to experience my zombies! 🤗

What's wrong with DLCs again?
Depends on type... cosmetics are usually considered to be fine. New guns, new POIs, new quest NPCs etc etc would be a different story and open a whole can of worms with compatibility (for servers, friend groups, etc) and modding.

At a quick glance actual content for DBD is sold piecemeal as DLCs, which makes the game look cheap, but actually cost tons. For this game, imagine "New bandit clan, and 3 new story missions, only for 8.99!" ... It's not "morally" wrong, but it doesn't feel right either. Especially after you've repeated it for a few cycles. 40 for the game, 88.90 for the DLCs - to be able to play with your friends.

A new entity is much more work than a model replacement.

The shark wins though. That model has been in the game since before my 8 years here. I have dreamed of adding it as a fun Friday task. I would like to see water biomes and fish someday.
Some nasty waterlogged zombies would fit great in that water biome.

Dead By Daylight doesn't prevent players that do not own DLCs from participating in matches with players that do own those DLCs.
Also the practice of "DLC lockout" is less common than it used to be. Even COD releases all their maps for free now. The model for DLCs has predominantly moved towards cosmetics.

Are there other games under the Behaviour umbrella that locks players out of game modes and the like?

I have no idea. And even that wouldn't matter, I can't see the future even if I could list every product and DLC by heart. Which means I can't alleviate anyone's fears of anything any more than I can refute them.

The gaming markets are failing in pretty spectacular ways recently; no idea which sinking fleet BI is a part of .. :P

Survivors,

We’re excited to share some big news. The Fun Pimps have officially joined Behaviour Interactive.

7 Days to Die started back in Thanksgiving 2012, when two brothers cooked up a game idea at the dinner table. Thirteen years later, that idea has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined, with over 20 million copies sold and a community that’s been with us every step of the way.

There is still so much we want to do, and we’ve always believed the future of our game could be even greater than what we’ve shipped so far. This partnership means more support for 7 Days to Die moving forward. We’ll continue to lead development, just as we always have, but now, with Behaviour’s help, we’ll be able to grow the team and deliver even more for the game and our community.

Nothing about the heart of the game is changing. Our vision stays the same, our team stays the same, and our focus remains on the community that has carried 7 Days to Die for over a decade. This is simply the next step in a long journey, and we’re excited to take it with you.

More details are coming soon, including a Reddit AMA on 3/25/26. Feel free to submit your questions ahead of time at r/7daystodie and we’ll answer them live during the session.

In the meantime, check out this message from Richard about the new partnership:

70 people??? Ya'll had 70 people working on this game and it still runs like ■■■■ on PS5, granted yes, I agreed to a Beta game, however someone on your dev team needs to actually play the PS5 version on a PS5 and not a computer simulator before ya'll make any more changes to it. ■■■■ it, you get too many zombies the game lags badly, quest above lvl 4 or 5 you get lag, don't even think about trying a lvl 6 quest unless you enjoy lag, I stream this game and miss a lot of viewers cuz it's listed as a demo..... don't even think about trying to make me pay a monthly sub for this game and I refuse to buy any DLC's until I can wear my twitch reward baseball cap on ps5 and pull zombies the way I want to without lag..... and oh my I have so many more complaints and I haven't bothered with complaining about Because ya'll are too freaking busy catering to PC and adding DLCs.... I feel bad that people have bought this game on my recommendation, wish I never told them about it now and that I could've been satisfied just playing the ps4 version... anyway, Grats on all the big bucks ya'll made on selling the company, just know that some of your greatest fans were playing on ps4's until the ps5 beta came out... btw, ya'll need to tell some of those console players if you want wtf PC has save your money and buy a gaming computer or is that part of ya'lls plan?? is to get people hooked on the game and buying a second copy on PC LMAO :) have a good one ya'll

If it said 70 developers I might agree, but if you take into account accountants, attorneys, moderators, bug testers and who knows what else it takes to run a business like this, it only leaves room for a fraction of that doing development work.

70 devs are not accountants, attorneys, moderators, bug testers; they are devs actually working on the game. Don't you know what a dev is?

Now, if they say 70 employees then I would agree.
