A New Chapter for The Fun Pimps and 7 Days to Die

lol we're screwed

Interesting. It’s not true in practice. Work on bandits is currently moving at full steam ahead. Also the threat update includes bandits and Behavior said nothing would change until after that update so I doubt your prompts were very accurate.
Yeah, yeah, I know. Alpha 21. Shoot, delayed, need more work. Should be the second quarter of 2025.

Good news is they're going to get it this time around!

3.0 Sandbox Siege
4.0 New Threat
5.0 Story Update
6.0 ???

Here's the breakdown based on actual release history and what we can extrapolate for 6.0:
The Timeline So Far (post-1.0):
  • 1.0 — July 25, 2024
  • 2.0 ("Storm's Brewing") — June 30, 2025 stable (~11 months after 1.0)
  • 3.0 (Bandits) — expected Q1–Q2 2026 7d2d, though community members on Steam are calling even that optimistic, personally estimating Q2–Q3 2026 Steam Community
The Pattern:
  • 1.0 → 2.0: ~11 months
  • 2.0 → 3.0: likely ~9–12 months (estimated mid-2026)
  • That suggests roughly a major version every 10–12 months
AI Prediction for 6.0:
If we assume 3.0 lands around mid-2026 and the ~10–12 month cadence holds:
VersionEstimated Window
3.0Mid 2026
4.0Mid–Late 2027
5.0Late 2028
6.02029–2030
But the honest caveat: The Fun Pimps have a long history of delays. Many veteran community members have learned not to trust any timeline the developers give, even estimated ones, because they historically can't deliver on time. Steam Community 2.0 itself slipped considerably from its original roadmap targets.
So realistically, 6.0 is probably 5–7 years away — somewhere around 2030–2032 if TFP maintains their current pace (or longer if major systems like bandits, vehicles, or the game world cause scope creep, which is very on-brand for them).

3.0 Sandbox Siege
4.0 New Threat
5.0 Story Update
6.0 ???
Probably more like other mentioned features on the original roadmap will get their own major update number. So maybe 5.0 would be the event manager and/or UI overhaul and 6.0 would be story update. Or instead of adding a new quest type to each update they might do a quest update and that might be 6.0 with story shifting to 7.0.

Here's the breakdown based on actual release history…

You’re inputting flawed prompts. It’s obvious that you’re basing your prompts on the original feature lists for 3.0 and 4.0 and then extending that out to a 5.0 and 6.0.

Claud doesn’t know that the new 3.0 has nothing to do with the previous 3.0. It also doesn’t know that 4.0 is going to focus on bandits and that the other features originally listed in the first roadmap are going to have their own updates.

Any extrapolation based on the old roadmap is going to be flawed and that is the only information Claud is going to be able to search up.

Now it can use this information, you played yourself 🥸

>bandits are now projected for 4.0 instead of 3.0

His prompt may have been flawed as it was using dated information, but it did get a couple things right.

Most notably, ...The Fun Pimps have a long history of delays.

guess "we" will have to go on Reddit to find out...since the brothers are not showing "us" the consideration of answering questions on their own forum.

How dare they use the platform that can reach the most users? 🤯

A lot more people are going to participate in an AMA on Reddit than an AMA here. It shouldn't surprise or puzzle you, but then you surprise me every time.

Just another overreaction based on a lack of understanding of basic concepts.

if only you acted like a "real" moderator...instead of a troll idiot...I may have respected you. The only thing I can honestly give you credit for, is, I think you are good at helping people with figuring out what is going wrong with their mods.

As a moderator in another forum, the person that's been at fault all this time isn't Roland. I'd even say he's been extremely lenient with you.

DEVELOPERS have always been unable to develop this game.
TODAY I REALIZE THAT I HAVE ALWAYS PLAYED a dead-born game.
I no longer play this game at all nor indie games;
I understood that they were nests of bugs, unfinished games, with lots of poorly optimized and designed mechanics.
Today I am very happy to play other games, I enjoy them and no longer expect anything from promises, hopes, or so-called potential which, anyway, will only be used at 10 percent with lots of bugs patched poorly.
The modders managed to keep the game alive and did much better than Fun Pimps in every way.
RIP 7 DAYS TO DIE and I will not be there for the birth of the buggy clone which will anyway only be a vulgar, failed copy of an eternally failed game whose developers have betrayed their own hardcore community.

Well, I do hope it all works out for you guys and this game...but Behave-OR-else, is a massively woke, lazy company that hasn't been able to put out any solid content in ages. I just hope they and their Kool-Aid dyed hair and septum piercing ideals stay OUT of the Fun Pimps and their games. Because, honestly, dealing with them for the last 10 years, they are the antithesis of the Fun Pimps.
