thank you for posting it here

Is this feature at a point where you can give us details? For example, are jars craftable? How common are they in loot? Do jars still disappear when you drink the water? What does it mean for the dew collector?

I had no issue with jars before so I'm personally glad to see them back.
I do hope they aren't craftable though. Either you find them or you buy them, that's it. Plus they should not be crucible rare but not all over the place either.

Anyhow, thanks for the post! 👍

He responded in the thread he linked that they aren't ready to give any details yet.

I see it now. You asked a lot of the same questions I did.

Here's a link to the comment if anyone else is interested.

EDIT: I don't know why he keeps picking on the friendly Alot though. It's not the Alot's fault that they can't share details!

Any possible way to get some floating wires for power poles etc.. to span longer then the limit?
I am aware of the floating Bridge blocks in the editor but those do not allow you to change shapes.

Can we PLEASE get this debugging disabled

I know this isnt a proper bug report but its self explanatory and here is details from another user

it creates HUGE log files after a while and makes finding real bugs a slog
These warnings even appear if you just fire up the game and let it sit on main menu. Although on dedicated servers they seem to be insanely more prevalent.

Edit: because I just realized, these are happening while firing up the server when nobody could be connecting to it anyway.

Do you know you can increase the limit for actual wires?

  • Allow overriding the maximum wire length when using the wiretool in the item's action definition with the MaxWireLength property, defaulting to 15

You add/change it in the items.xml file for the Action1 property of the meleeToolWireTool. So it's an easy mod to make.

You can then use a mod that shows the wires even when not using the wire tool. I know I've seen one for that.

Other than that, if you just want to use blocks that look like wires, you can create a custom block that has very high "glue" value and use that. It might require changing stability as well or instead of the glue value. You should be able to compare a wood block with a steel block or even one of the iron I-beams to see how they increase the distance those can be extended before they collapse.
