PC LBD talk is RIGHT HERE

That would actually make sense. Imagine adding a bicycle to your game that slows down when riding it uphill but doesn't accelerate when riding it downhill, and not immediately fixing that. It would drive me insane.

PC LBD talk is RIGHT HERE

I can't believe that spam crafting and getting hit to level your armor skill are still talking points here as if scrapping the whole system was genuinely the only way to avoid encouraging that kind of gameplay. This would imply that every single game with an LBD system would actually be better...

PC Steam reviews - I kinda figured

I can think of a few ways to make the player character even weaker, so would that make it a better game then?

PC Power Attacks. Could they charge instead of the cooldown?

I actually thought this was what TFP had in mind when I first heard about power attacks being introduced. They could just make it work like drawing the bow and it would feel so much better than what we have right now. Without perks, I just don't see a single situation in my gameplay where I...

PC let me get this right

This is an important point, although the content is actually already there, it's just not being used. I think the reason for this is how easily regular day 1 zombies can destroy buildings, encouraging people to skip to the strongest building material they can get, which then makes them realize...

PC Food and stamina challenge makes the perks attractive

This. If the only purpose a perk serves is to not make the game annoying to play, it shouldn't be a perk.

PC Some honest opinion on A17

Seems to me the reason for this is that instead of adding content, they're rearranging the existing content, which also happens to be the opposite of what you expect from an alpha version as opposed to a beta version.

PC SP is suffering and mods seem to be the answer

True. The way it is now, the cost for higher level attributes increases exponentially, with the added nuisance of not being allowed to spend your points.

PC New cost of the attributes (spoiler!!!)

I've only played for less than an hour but just looking at the menu I can see that this new system means you will again have to save up a lot of points for a single level of a perk/attribute. Example: You want steel tools. That's Hammer & Forge level 3, which requires 8 Intellect. Assuming you...

PC A17 Thoughts: The Level 20 Gate.

Now that explains a lot. If there's a hard cap like that, I can see where you're coming from, and it's actually the core of the problem. Seems like they should just let you build an excavator instead.

PC A17 Thoughts: The Level 20 Gate.

I've only been playing since A16; how did steel tools add more grind and why would scrap iron tools do the same?

PC A17 Thoughts: The Level 20 Gate.

They could also add something inbetween stone axe and iron tools, like the scrap iron tools you see in some mods.

PC Do you guys like this new leveling system ?

I like this idea in general. It would tell the player if he wants to be a builder he should build, but it could potentially be more finely tuned than a skill requirement, and definitely more finely tuned than a level requirement.

    PC Bonus resources gone again

    What a shame

PC Do you guys like this new leveling system ?

Agreed. I'm not even in favor of having a crafting skill in the game; finding schematics unlocking some recipes with perks was fine. I just want to make the point that there's no dichotomy between spamcrafting and not having skills at all. A16 already had a hybrid system with skills yet no...
