V2.5+ Survival Revival Dev Diary

Reading over the past posts until now for the prelude to each update. I had
a thought develope about 6 degees of seperation and parallel and coincidence.

1 There are two leaders, in the game, thus two differential camps of thought.
2 The most maybe not prolific, but most publically visible is The Duke.
3 The heirarchy of the real game can be traced back to two brothers.
4 Life has begun to imitate or emulate art, or the presumed story in the game.
5 So 2 definitve camps of feeling have developed, regarding the game.
6 The parallel I reference, is from a movie, about 2 brothers, that played a game,
with 2 opposing outcomes, or ideas.

The sequence was happiness..confusion......upset.......happiness.
.................Release.....what now...anticipation...Release.

Coincidentally, their sir name in the movie was also Duke. First names Randolph
and Mortimer. "Trading Places released June 8, 1983". It too was a comedy of errors
on both sides.

I guess it's all a matter of perspective. Randi and Morti were just having fun for 2
bucks, Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd not so much. But it had a happy ending, every
deserves one.....or two if you are greedy. In the game that will hopefully be with the
release of the next alpha.

Pay me no mind, I just had some old smoky apple-pie-shine, soooo....Yeah.

If the game had 10x the players I would have 10x the potential audience. That's just basic logic. You're being deliberately obtuse now.

YUP...when someone on here wants to give me the same old song and dance about "developing is hard...there's no way to know how long will take" as a response to why TFP are so poor at communication as an excuse...I am going to come back with "then how did they put such SHORT timelines on the road map"
How many programs have you written in your lifetime? How many times have you met deadlines when writing software?

Hi guys, its normal after spending first 23 days in forest get spawned 10 charged chucks + many more radiated and feral zombies at hybrid company lv5 (lv50 gs80)?
No. Ambient charged zombie spawning is very rare, especially in the pine forest, though I was in Rekt's after 20 or so days and I was hearing a zombie hitting on the exterior fence and it turned out to be a charged zombie that spawned inside Rekt's compound. Clearly a glitch.

It also seems like zombies will be grabbed from general spawning pools in large POIs such as Hybrid Mining, regardless if they are in their designated biome or not. So You'll see Chucks and Ranchers even in pine forest POIs. I make zombies mods. I have some new ones that I haven't gotten around to designating them as POI sleepers (I just have them in the general pools) but they will spawn as sleepers in very large POIs.

Take your time, but it would be really awesome if Damage Numbers was added as an option/toggle so I didnt have to type in "showhits damage" every time I started up the game.

Showhits Damage
There aren't many people who need this. You can enable it; why clutter the new game menu with unnecessary options?

Why crop the screen so much? Both the computer and console screens have the same aspect ratio as the game image. Why cut off two-thirds of the image at the edges, turning the gameplay video into a keyhole view?1771501177281.png

Just felt the need to keep things stirred up? or are you not that bright?

The answer is NONE...that is not the profession I chose to pursue.

Since I strongly believe in personal responsibility, I am fairly sure I would not have let other people make excuses for me while I avoided answering questions. Fairly positive I would work obsessively until the job was done. I can't imagine myself crowd sourcing the funds to feed my dreams and squandering years not getting it done...AND thinking I don't owe any explanations for what happened.

Simply put, you are discussing issues about which you understand nothing.
Fairly positive I would work obsessively until the job was done.
This is how errors appear in program code.

We both paid for the game. No one held a gun to your head or mine at the time. Paying the money was your and only your voluntary decision. Don't blame anyone for your decision.
