Can we agree there's a difference between probablity and possibility? As good a place as any to start.
Umm, no? Both are size-neutral expressions of uncertainty? Unless you mean one is spelled wrong? Can we agree there's a difference between probablity and possibility?
Yes, it would take time if they implemented it. As far as whether or not they do so, I have no idea. That was just my opinion that it wouldn't be worth it. I don't know whether or not TFP thinks it is worth it.So, you don't think "it just takes time", just "it won't get implemented"? I agree. I was asking why BFT doesn't...![]()
Those thighs man, they save lives. BFT, presumably replying to OP said "it takes time". That implies he thinks further changes are being implemented, and we should just wait for them. Given the list of things in the OP are things that would go explicitly against the design goals stated by TFP, I got curious and tried to ask him if he meant the whole OP and/or had some info I don't.Yes, it would take time if they implemented it.
To me, that is not as significant as you seem to suggest. If someone is opposed to traders, then sure, it is a big deal. Otherwise, it isn't. So you get it by crafting it instead of as a reward. It's different, but not really significant. The process is practically the same. You compete the challenges. Then the difference is whether you craft it or go to a trader for it. That is all. Some might consider it a different vibe, but I have a feeling many are like me and don't see it as a significant change.First of all the new gear icons are not simply a swap out for badges. The fact that you craft them yourself rather than getting them as a reward from the trader is a huge change. Maybe if it was still a reward handed out by the trader it would essentially be the same but cutting out trader involvement completely really gives it a different vibe.
Yeh, the facts that you 1) craft it and 2) it's a set of reasonable gear, it's an improvement, but it's something like 10-20% of the way. The challenge-page lockdown remains quite weird, and way more significantly so...Some might consider it a different vibe, but I have a feeling many are like me and don't see it as a significant change.
Man...calm the ■■■■ down. I just want some general communication.Who gives a ■■■■? Can we not let things bake a while before they're made so concrete there's no changing them? Can we not exhibit a little bit of patience?
Oh, right. Patience is a virtue most don't possess. Thanks for the reminder.
So, Joel tossed an idea out there which he obviously had predetermined opinions about. "Did you like jars because they were immersive or becuase they were easier?" Way to go with the either/or mentality as opposed to the both/and. All I can say.Joel got a lot of people stirred up...and is not following up...that is not great...should be resolved.
It is hard to ignore "in passing" but I willSo, Joel tossed an idea out there which he obviously had predetermined opinions about. "Did you like jars because they were immersive or becuase they were easier?" Way to go with the either/or mentality as opposed to the both/and. All I can say.
But it was asked in passing. Why make such a big deal about it?
We all know your opinion regarding timelines and sticking to those timelines and/or communication about those timelines. You've made those quite clear.
Honestly, I think them too restrictive of TFP. They're not robots. Thank God they don't act and think like robots...although they may be unaware how industry trends are affecting their judgment. Again. All I have to say.
You are really obsessed with the community manager idea. It's peculiar to me. I don't think it's a bad idea or anything, but it's also not a particularly novel idea. I'm sure if they thought it would be worth the cost (assuming they'd have to pay someone to do it), they would have done it. Just trying to save you some frustration (What was it that Elsa sang?).it was almost a month ago...Joel to my knowledge has not followed up on the Reddit post with that poll (or whatever it was he planned to do instead)
broken record time: maybe they should hire someone to do communication for them? a community manager?
"Too soon for feedback, it isn't even out yet; let them cook."
"Come on man, feedback is pointless - it just came out, let's see how they modify it."
"What? Why are you trying to change it now, it's been like this forever. Too late to fix it now."
Take a pick and any feedback is always pointless.
Not at all and not at all.It almost feels like the "Town Hall" was just a waste of time for TFP and for us. This last update is fairly silly imho.
Why would anyone actually give any care on why you would wear them all at once? Also, I don't want them to show. Why have nice armor so why are going to throw some stupid mask over it? We got rid of the clothing system for a reason. It looked like crap. I think clothing is important, but the important aspect is hunting for the various clothing and what the stats meant on the clothing and was most certainly not for it's amazing aesthetics.Simply replacing the badges with icons is one thing, but it's WEIRDLY implemented. Why would you wear all four of them at once? Why wouldn't you just be able to equip one at a time and have it be graphically represented on your character.
They made the changes for everyone very quickly. What would you expect? Offer proper feedback on what they should change and maybe they will take more time on it. Possibly no, but if enough people had the same proper critique maybe. Either way it is better than no suggestion.Everything is really feeling slapped together lately.
I agree the direction towards fantasy and RPG has been generally not appreciated. It's not good to be frank. We've drifted FAR away from TFP giving a flying fig about any kind of immersion. It's almost like there are devs behind the scenes simply coming up with stuff to throw at the game to justify them having a job. It's a lot like congress just passing bills to justify their jobs. There's no real point, but it keeps them busy.
What does "barebones" mean? Like no traders? No cities? No trees?Just give us a barebones sandbox mode. You said you were working on it but we haven't heard squat since the "Town Hall". I think it's already been forgotten.
Sadly it makes people who have proper opinions feel ostracized because people are too tired of people asking for change improperly that we all get lumped together.
I hate the new armor sets abilities. I don't mind the aesthetics so much. I dislike the RPG elements of set bonuses and the no fall damage is just stupid. My guess? Because it's fun. I like the new armor sets. I like that they have bonuses when wearing the full armor set. I like that each armor piece (or most, anyway) have unique boosts to various skills, etc.
No the skin was the problem too. I agree the challenge system is garbage, but it's still better than it was.New skin, same mechanic. The mechanic was the problem. It´s still a boring to do list. Either make this somehow interesting, like a quest or a boss fight, or do it survival style that you need to adjust to temperature and weather conditions in the biomes and adjust enemies, so that you have stronger enemies in each biome.
This fixes nothing. Makes a bit more sense but is still boring af.
