Just today we pushed the quality template out longer, removed guns, armor and tools from the tier one quest rewards, and yesterday we double the amount of quests turned in to advance to the next level. So now you will need to turn in 10 tier 1 quests to advance to tier 2 which is when guns/armor/tools start being offered as rewards. By the time you are getting to that, you should be finding tier 1 tools and weapons and not all primitive.

I am planning on doing a random gen world for the streams and from what i can tell the random gen is being improved with A19.

I have to say, if they are going to start specializing traders, then I am very glad that they are going to make a way to identify and locate them.  The last 3 random gen maps I have made, I have only found 2 traders, and they were extremely isolated.  One of them, the closest trader would take half an in-game day to get there are back.

To do: -Add dinosaurs.
           -Change Charismatic Nature to boost all classes
           -Delete Madmole's Grave, he's alive, we've seen him on the stream.

"Release Date of A19 Experimental is currently estimated for the end of June/ beginning of July" - Roland the melting metal thing 

so my guess is around the 30th or early July.

but i hope so. IM DYING TO PLAY!

 
Really hyped about the extended stone age phase. I hope it's not only tools but also weapons / guns, because while having poor tools reduces your efficiency, having no firearms for an extended period of time really changes up the core gameplay of the early days.

That being said I'm worried it will feel... wasted to loot any specialized store early game, especially when you play with no loot respawn.

Any news regarding the new RWG features ?

I noticed you saying it at least! Of course I've been chat banned since the first stream so I couldn't do much besides notice it every time they started digging after you pointed it out, because it was bothering me. 

Definitely seems like a bug, not sure if you can report A19 bugs yet on the bug forum though. That might be the kind of bug Faatal works on as he seems like the defacto Bug Smasher Man™, so you can try bringing it up tonight or just tag him because he seems great at being super active on the forums.

I like how the "When A19 coming???" spam has transcended Twitch and even arrived here. Lathan needs a giant banner behind him for the stream that says "A19 IS AIMED FOR JUNE 29TH" so half the chat isn't that question on perpetual loop even after the devs inevitably mention it 9 times in a 2 hour span

SAME! i always saw stone age as a temporary thing, nothing that i would stick with!

plus that would be a cool challenge, STONE AGE CHALLENGE

Great question. The default RWG in A17/18 was so poor I never even tried one of those maps all the way through A18. Would love to see what improvements have been made. Somehow I doubt they are going to put NitroGen out of business but if the maps are nicely improved, it will be worth trying at least.

You're in luck, tonight's the programmer dev stream.  Would be a great question to hound them about. :)

It is not poor, it is work in progress and we are the crash test dummies that test it till it meets developer`s goals. Personally I had good fun on my map in A18. 

Ready for the stream ? :)

The map that MM, Rick and Lathan seemed pretty nice.  Could be a good sign that RWG is in good shape for A19. :)
